Why do I have to give this company one star?

Why do I have to give this company one star? Is there no zero star facility? I bought a super doper KitchenAid Artisan 4 slice toaster in November 2021 which worked well until November 2024. 2 slots gave up the ghost at that stage. Although there was a 5 year warranty, the company initially disputed this stating it was only 3 years. They eventually agreed 5 years was the case. The next part of the tragic comedy were the emails/phone calls etc to get the toaster returned. Suffice to say the now lifeless corpse of the toaster (the other 2 functioning slots departed this world recently!) is still residing in my study. A £15 toaster from Tesco (other stores are available) is providing me with all
the warm carbs I require. So ..., KitchenNoaid more appropriate! PS - the last time I attempted to ring them a voice stated that this facility was no longer available. Life is tooo short!! R

My dough mixer broke in less than 1…

My dough mixer broke in less than 1 year after i purchased with a very little usage.
I wish there is no star, as 1 star is lots for such customer services that never answer a phone after waiting on hold for 1 complete hour or an email which i tried to log in their website.
I doubt it if customer service exists anyway

Awful company

Awful company, promises warranty but never responds to customers so they cannot action the warranty aspect. Disgusted by the poor level of service. Has purchased their overpriced very expensive mixer, for a vulnerable adult to help them with cooking. Item is defective and under warranty, yet multiple attempts at contact have gone unanswered!

Wish I had read the reviews before…

Wish I had read the reviews before purchasing a kitchen aid blender.

The 4 year warranty is why I paid out for this expensive blender.

Jug is leaking black gunge and making a terrible noise, raised a support request online 3 months ago and never got a reply, have spoken to customer service 3 times (each time with a 1.5 hour wait) and once received an email asking for machine details and photos of the issue, never heard anything since.

Going by the reviews its a lost cause, what a waste of money, avoid at all costs!

Not worth it.

After more than 25 years in the catering industry and after using Kitchenaid mixers before, I decided to treat myself and buy one.
This was in hindsight a mistake.
After two uses the mixer came to a grinding halt. Contacted Kitchenaid back in early February as it was just within the 14 days, and it was confirmed I could return the mixer for a full refund.
Since then there has been little to no helpful contact from customer service. They at one point Contacted me and told me that the mixer could not be repaired and would be returned to me. And it was even after sending a immediate repose saying this is not was agreed. So with more than a dozen emails and a dozen calls to the company with either no response or no progress made I sent a hand written letter to the head office and said I would contact the Ombudsman and seek legal advice in 7 working days if did not receive the label for the returned broken item so I could send it back, and my refund. I received a call on the last day of my deadline ( And at this point plans stated in my letter were in motion)
That was 16th April and I sent the broken item back. They received it 19th. And today 6th May I have received an email that my refund is being processed, and will be issued in a few days (I am very sceptical)
Its taken 4 months to get to this point.
Kitchenaid aid are lovely looking machines and look lovely in a kitchen. but even this does not make them worth it. From my experience I would suggest a different brand, smegg, kenwood, something else entirely. Their customer service is broken, departments do not communicate to each other and this makes dealing with them frustrating and gives you the feeling that it's on purpose to make you walk away out of frustration.
If you have or are having this experience dont walk away.
The advice from my experience is
Find out the head office address and names of people in charge.
Contact them directly. Contact the ombudsman (Which i have still done)
They should not be allowed to treat paying customers like they do.
I hope my experience helps you make a informed choice that is better for you. And i hope it never happens to you.

It has been four months since I returned a product and KitchenAid still have not provided a refund. This is theft. Please do not use this dreadful company. They will steal your money and do not care that they don't adhere to consumer laws. Please save your money and stay away from these thieves. They are the worst.

In April 2024 a piece of metal fell out…

In April 2024 a piece of metal fell out of our KicthenAid blender (base of the jug). I contacted customer service and at the time was able to submit an online support request.
It was suggested we buy another jug and a part number provided. However the part was out of stock, we would be notified when it arrived.
A few months later we were informed the item was still out of stock and our enquiry was now cancelled!
Today (2/5/2025) I replied to the email from last year to revisit the topic and in lightening quick time received a response telling me this was the wrong email address and it would not be forwarded to the correct team-followed by a list of website links to search for support on their webpages.
I duly did so and found a phone number, as others have suggested it simply isn't answered.
Rationalisation of your resources is fine as long as you actually show any customer service-they seem to have taken their Brand perception for granted and forgotten why consumers bought their goods. Good luck with that!

Dangerous product and nonexistent customer service — shocking experience!!!

I bought a food processor from KitchenAid, and on only the second use — less than one minute in — it made two loud explosive noises and immediately tripped the power in my entire flat. I tried plugging it back in, it caused another power cut, until the machine finally died completely.

I hired a certified electrician to inspect the issue, and he confirmed that my home’s electrical system is working perfectly. All other appliances work fine — the fault was entirely with the KitchenAid food processor, which caused a serious electrical leak.

KitchenAid claims to offer a 3-year warranty, but that means nothing if you can’t reach them. I followed all the instructions and sent eight emails to their customer service — zero response. I called six times, and each call automatically cut off after exactly one hour on hold. That’s SIX HOURS wasted for absolutely nothing.

This has been an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience. I’ve now escalated the matter to Trading Standards.

KitchenAid has failed on product safety AND customer service — completely unacceptable. Avoid this brand at all costs!!!

Avoid Kitchenaid Applicances

When I decided to buy Kitchenaid, I did it due to the trusted name. I bought a set of appliances which wasn't cheap. Kitchenaid knows there are issues with the 5 door refrigerator but do not back up their product. We have had so many issues that cause damages to your flooring due to freezing and thawing of water under the drawers. We then had trouble where ice built up on the rear wall of the freezer so bad the fan was hitting the ice. We have a constant issue with the ice maker not making ice. Also lights in refrigerator going out. The problems start after the warranty is up and has continued to now. The parts are so expensive to replace also. For the amount of money these cost and the problems we have had, I wish I never bought Kitchenaid products which is made by whirlpool.

Shame I can't give it zero

Shame I can't give it zero. I'll never buy anything ever again from kitchen aid. There customers service is non existent. There main customer support email just bounces emails back and they don't answer the phone. I have 3 products all a couple of months old all with electrical faults.

Dreadful company.

Placed an order for a toaster and a couple of accessories (not inexpensive at £265) but a day later I was messaged from DHL to advise I had to pay them £60.29 to get my order. Of course there was no mention of this on their website when I placed the order and Kitchenaid assured me I'd get a refund but 6 weeks later, nothing.
Their customer (don't) care is a waste of time. No response to emails and no one ever answers their customer (don't) care phone line.
I'd urge everyone and anyone to NEVER buy from this company.
Lets spread the word and put them out of business as they are a disgrace.

AVOID

AVOID. I don’t understand how this company is legally allowed to operate in UK . I just wish I check Trustpilot before I made my purchase.

I went on their website and order 3 items with this offer they have 3 items 30% off .

When the mixer arrived it was chipped at the front and also one of the hook attachment was chipped. When you get an expensive item like this one and you want it to last years I was already unhappy with poor quality of item but I was like maybe I just got unlucky so Idecided to make a new order with same items and return the first order to keep things easy.

Well as soon I made my second order I tried to return the first one and this is when I was shocked . And let’s not forget that in all of this they only offer 14 days return .

So I first try to email them complaining and let them know of the damage item I received . Not one reply .

I try to go through the website under section “my orders” and page was giving error 500 .

Try to contact them by phone multiple times (once I was on hold for 2:20 mins ) nobody answered.

I try to contact them through Facebook, Instagram without any response.

Only yesterday got back to me from fb US and they said they couldn’t help me as it’s a different country and the only thing they gave me was the same number I’ve been trying to to call for over a week .

Yesterday I received my new order and now I do not even want to keep as these people do not deserve any money and also my biggest worry is that when you invest in something like this that you want to keep long time if you might need support in the future you are completely screw.

Also what they doing is illegal against costumer right in this country , you can sponsor yourself as 14 days return policy but then do not give the costumer the way how to make returns .

Avoid this at all cost and I would search for other brands where they might have better costumer service that they deserved the money you give them .

I wish you can give zero star as they don’t even deserve that .

Appalling levels of customer service. Avoid like the plaque

Having to leave 1 star as zero isn't allowed. Echo all the recent comments here. Disgraceful service from a brand that you think you would trust. Purchased a stand mixer for my wife's 40th birthday, wrapped this up for her, upon opening it was a food processor. Emailed immediately to notify them, a standard reply took 10 days which asked for information that they had all the access to on the order. Rang to chase this up and I was promised a call back. 15 days later I'm still waiting, sent more emails requesting an update. Nothing. Currently on the phone and have been for 1hr 20 mins and spoken to nobody. Can't say if the product is even any good as it never arrived, but certainly don't buy direct from them. Absolutely shocking levels of service

no one answers their support line.

I have called their support line many times, just waiting with no answer, no email address for support
my toaster has an electrical fault and cuts out then trips my electrics out. this is an expensive item and I just want to send it off for repair. really poor customer experience

The worst customer service ever…

The worst customer service ever experienced! Sent my stand mixer back for repair under warranty on 19/3 still waiting as they appear to have lost it between them and dpd !
No one taking any responsibility. Over 7 emails and calls made and no further forward . For the prices of their appliances it is a disgrace . I am now going to trading standards . Avoid this company at all costs !

I have tried to message

I have tried to message, email and call with no response several times. Waiting on the phone for over an hour with no response.
What on earth is going on, I’ve never had such poor services. I purchased a toaster which is still in warranty. It has an electrical fault and cuts out then trips my electrics out. This is a safety issue.
This was a costly item and you would expect quality. I’ve had cheeper toaster at less than one third of the price I paid for this which have never caused problems.
It’s so frustrating. Avoid this brand at all costs.
Just check on the comments on Facebook attached to their adverts. Not one positive.

Bad customer service

I have tried to contact Kitchen Aid to order a replacement carafe for my drip coffee machine and each of the 3 times I phoned they said this was currently out of stock. After waiting 6 months for this to come back into stock I eventually asked for a refund as the machine is no longer fit for purpose and was still within the 1 year guarantee. Despite numerous emails to them they have yet to reply and they no longer answer the phone at their customer service desk. This level of service is unsatisfactory for a company of this size and selling products at the high prices they sell at. I have a few other products from Kitchen Aid and always thought of them as a high quality market, but I will not be buying anything more from them due to the lack of customer service.

I've been trying to phone (4 x times holding 1 hour).
I've sent in house customer care email x 3 times.
NO ONE responds to anything.
Terrible customer support.

Where are they?

Purchased kettle and toaster in Dec 24. Fault with kettle. Emailed customer services-no response. Attempted to call them. In line for over 45 mins-still no answer. Have now just read their reviews and wish I’d have taken note before. Will never buy their brand again. Do not buy from them. Read the reviews.
