Fast Communication, Complicated Claim Process

I recently finished a claim for my device, and while I’m satisfied with the final outcome, the process was more complicated than it needed to be. The claims team was very responsive, but a lack of transparency regarding documentation and policy limits created several hurdles.

The Positives
Responsiveness: The agents were very quick to reply, often providing updates within hours.
Outcome: Once the claim was finalized, the reimbursement was issued almost immediately.
Flexibility: They did eventually honor my plan’s specific screen-repair benefit after some back-and-forth.

The Issues
Poor Documentation Instructions: I had to make multiple trips to repair shops because the initial instructions didn't specify exactly what needed to be on the estimate. I provided a quote, then was told it needed the device IMEI, and then was told it needed my personal identifying information. All of this should have been listed clearly at the start.
Unexpected Claim Caps: I was surprised to find there was a maximum repair limit on my device that wasn't made clear to me when I signed up. Because the full repair costs exceeded this, the company immediately tried to push me toward a full replacement route, which involved a much higher deductible and mailing my phone away.
Advocating for Benefits: I had to specifically request to forgo certain repairs, like the back-glass, to stay under the repair cap so I could qualify for the screen-repair deductible promised in my plan.
Bottom Line: The coverage is reliable in the end, but be prepared to manage the documentation yourself and push back if you are being steered away from your specific plan benefits.

Claim was done flawlessly I have a one plus open so hard phone to find part but contacted one plus and they were able to fix phone akko, upsie did a great job helping and executing my claim without any hitch definitely will recommend

Great company to use

Have been using upsie for a couple of years and their claims experience is the easiest I've ever had. Their monthly fees are manageable and fair.

Claim Process

My experience with a recent claim I put in was great. The company showed sympathy to my issue and that felt real good to hear and it was much appreciated. The timeframe and service that was given to me much appreciated. I didn't have to wait long for my claim was approve and I am able to get my phone fix in a timely manner. Thank you Upsie!!!!

I would call this a bait and switch…

I would call this a bait and switch scam. I never would have wasted my money after going with 2 plans for 4 years each, if I had known that the monthly premium would jump as much as 300% mid stream!!!! They were an affordable choice but are now a poor one, especially for appliances. There should be a class action suit filed against them. This should be unlawful.

Super Nice and Helpful Insurance People (yes it is true)

These people couldn't have been more helpful and nice. I am so glad I purchased this insurance than through Peloton. Upsie was great, never complained when the bottom bracket on my ebike+ broke, and were quick and efficient at given me guidance on booking a technician to make the replacement.

My overall experience was fantastic

My overall experience was fantastic. My son had broken my TV, he is special needs. Once I put in my claim, within two days, I got the money needed to buy my replacement TV. The fact that I didn’t have to pay a deductible and they refunded me the money I spent to have my TV inspected was definitely a plus. 10 out of 10 highly recommend!

I have never had a better experience

I had never heard of Upsie. But when it came time to get coverage on some home appliances, they were the best price. Well, I have had them for most of this year. Friday my Maytag dryer stopped working. I immediately put in a claim, not even knowing what to expect. They responded within an hour asking for more information and documentation—which was super easy to upload and provide. I submitted a video of what was going wrong and uploaded the receipt from my purchase. They immediately sent me a list of suggested vendors to come give a diagnostic. The vendor came out Monday afternoon. I submitted the diagnostic summary to Upsie, my claim was approved next day and my claim was paid out Tuesday night via Venmo (PayPal or prepaid visa was also an option). I have never had a better experience with a warranty. I will be adding ALL of my household appliances to Upsie and recommending them to everyone I know.

Its a great option for household…

Its a great option for household appliances. The only down side is processing times. Luckily I never had 100% damage but if I did, I wouldn't have resolution until 2-5 biz days which is not ideal for kitchen.
