I had a great experience at Balfe's Notting Hill bike shop. The staff were professional and very knowledgeable, especially James who was extremely helpful throughout. The team was patient with my Cycle to Work (C2W) voucher situation, which meant the bike had to be held in store for a while. Communication was excellent at all times, and the whole process was smooth and stress free.
Overall a fantastic service!

Balfe's is a great group of local bike shops, featuring excellent products and reasonable prices. Staff are knowledgeable and helpful, making them a great LBS for any neighbourhood.

The servicing and repair of my bike was, as always, excellent. My only gripe is the lack of communication regarding progress. I booked it in a week in advance. I only got an update when I visited the store 48 hours after leaving it there. I was told I would be contacted the following morning with a report of its condition but had to return to the store the following lunchtime to find out the status. I think there was some kind of disconnect between reception and the workshop.

I recently had my left brake serviced at Balfe’s Bikes, and I’m really pleased with the result. The team quickly identified the issue and clearly explained what needed to be done.

After the service, my left brake feels smooth, responsive, and much more reliable. The improvement was noticeable straight away, and it’s made a big difference to how confident I feel riding.

The staff were friendly, professional, and efficient throughout the whole process. I’d definitely recommend Balfe’s Bikes for their quality workmanship and excellent customer service. I’ll be back for future services!
