Technical Support A+

I usually dread any kind of interaction with customer service/Technical Support. Generally speaking, having to contact customer service is often an unpleasant experience with me wishing I had never called. My interaction with Cass (agent) was the exact opposite. He sounded very knowledgeable and experienced. I felt like I struck the customer service lottery. My problem hasn't been resolved yet, but he is working on it. If you have a problem, ask for Cass!!

Support client au top

Très bonne expérience avec Elgato. J'ai reçu un produit avec un emballage endommagé. Déçu de ça, j'ai contacté le service client qui m'a répondu très rapidement (même pas une heure après :O).

La personne qui a traité mon dossier a été à la fois transparente, professionnelle et réactive. Le problème a été reconnu sans détour et une solution satisfaisante et adaptée à ma situation m'a été proposée dans la foulée.

Un grand merci à Bruce C. pour la qualité de son accompagnement. Un service client à la hauteur de la réputation de la marque.

J'ai plusieurs produits elgato (bras de micro, stream deck, micro, camera)

Niveau livraison j'ai toujours reçu ça très rapidement. Même si l'absence de code de vérification ne me semble pas très sécure.

Et pour le moment rien a signaler sur leur fonctionnement !
La qualité est top, c'est bien conçu et solide.

Seul bemol, le logiciel du streamdeck demande en permanence à faire des mises à jour, même quand celle-ci à déjà été faîtes !

Je n'ai pas eu affaire au Service Client donc je ne me prononcerait pas sur le sujet.

SCAM avéré

Typiquement le genre d'entreprise qui transforme nos ressources en déchets afin d'assouvir une médiocrité intersidérale.

Vend des "contrôleurs" censés faire gagner énormément de temps à ceux qui jonglent avec des fonctions multiples et complexes.

Mais en vrai c'est un SCAM, les streamdecks ne sont pas de vrais contrôleurs mais des imitations pay to win, pire : pay to work !
Le produit en lui même ne fonctionne quasiment pas comme contrôleur, il faut acheter une multitude de plugins à des particuliers pas fiables afin d'avoir le début des fonctionnalités vendues sur leur site.

ça c'est pour la partie scam évidente, mais on en parle de la fiabilité une fois tout paramétré à la main pendant des heures ?
Tout fini par se casser, du simple raccourci à la chaine complexe d'actions programmées, rien ne tient à court/moyen terme.

Certaines fonctionnalités ne marchent tout simplement pas au démarrage de l'ordi et il faut redémarrer pour récupérer quelque chose de simple comme le virtual SD ^^

On en parle aussi du fait qu'il faille avoir leur soft de lancé tout le temps pour que ça fonctionne ? RIP l'époque de plug an play et bienvenue à l'ère du plug and pay !

Eingeschränkte Kompatibilität und Performance Probleme

Camera Hub funktioniert auf Windows on ARM bei mir gar nicht, da die Installation fehlschlägt. Dadurch ist der Prompter nur sehr eingeschränkt nutzbar.

Auch auf meinem vorherigen normalen Windows-PC ohne ARM lief die Software insgesamt nicht besonders flüssig, sondern eher ruckelig.

Etwas missverständlich ist aus meiner Sicht, dass in den Systemanforderungen nur „Windows 10/11 (64-bit)“ angegeben wird, ohne ausdrücklich zu erwähnen, dass Windows-on-ARM-Geräte nicht unterstützt werden.

Update: Ich habe den Support inzwischen kontaktiert und dort die Rückmeldung bekommen, dass Camera Hub auf Windows on ARM aktuell nicht unterstützt wird und es momentan keine konkrete Lösung gibt. Deshalb würde ich mir nicht nur klarere Hinweise wünschen, sondern vor allem, dass Elgato hier langfristig eine echte Unterstützung für Windows on ARM anbietet.

Elgato has great support

Elgato has great support, and Tory was great to speak to. He explained everything and although I was frustrated at the outcome, it completely made sense, and he even was able to get me a discount. I can't use it but regardless it was a good call.

Unresponsive support for critical software issue

I use the Elgato teleprompter and its Camera Hub/Prompter software as part of my regular professional workflow. Earlier this week, the software stopped working without any clear explanation or change on my side, effectively blocking me from using the product as intended.
I contacted Elgato support on Monday and quickly received an automated email confirming that my ticket had been received. Since this was affecting my day-to-day work, I expected at least an initial human response or some troubleshooting steps within a reasonable time frame.
Over the course of the week, I sent two separate follow-up emails to ask for a status update and to stress that this is a blocking issue for my production setup. Despite this, I have not received a single reply from an actual support agent after four full business days.
Technical problems can happen, but going four business days without any real response — even after multiple follow-ups — is simply not acceptable for a company in this segment. The lack of communication and apparent disregard for time-sensitive issues makes me question whether I can rely on Elgato’s software and support for professional use.
At this point, I cannot recommend their customer service, and I am actively reconsidering future purchases from Elgato until they demonstrate that they take support and responsiveness seriously.

NEW Elgato Streamdeck + XL was NOT NEW.

Purchased the NEW Elgato Streamdeck + XL and was excited when I saw the box sitting on my front porch. Sat down, turned the cameras on, and started recording the unboxing. Come to find out the actual product box seals (2) were broken, I received a used item after paying full price and expecting a new streaming + XL. I saw a video of this happening to someone else, and truly thought it would be a one time thing, but I was wrong.

little to no customer support

little to no customer support. due to an update of the wave link software, I can no longer use my stream deck + with xlr dock. no help on the website. all I get when I use the contact us is warranty support (I purchased these products during covid). have been using elgato for years but will never use one of their products again. will be switching to goxlr

Excellent customer support

I was setting up my Stream Deck Scissor keys (great piece of kit, recommended!) when I couldn't automate a particular keyboard sequence.
I submitted a support request and got a reply almost immediately. Thanks Chris, for your expertise and trouble!

my 200$ stream deck is some hot…

my 200$ stream deck is some hot garbage!. constantly updates for no reason and now its stuck on 7.1.2? every time I boot my computer its updating 7.1.2 every time! Tried fixing it by redownloading the software but nothing is working. What a complete waste of money!

Typical 'big company' GARBAGE!

I came here to see if other people are as pi$$ed off as I am. seems they are! I also see that this company does not give a ____ ... typical. All i can say is, if you are like me and want good solid equipment, stay AWAY from this crap. It has it's flashy packaging, and marketing, but you will not be happy with the quality... or the support, as you can see by all these 1 star reviews. Add mine to the pile I guess.

Fooook you, who say support is shite and the software is the worst.
A year-or-two ago I sent a random request to get LUTs into the settings app for the webcam. A simple request -not really thinking much will come out of it; but a nice cool little parameter to play with that if tinkered with just right will have a day-night impact to the color corrections for your particular setup.
They wrote me back - the usual thank you for your suggestion, we wil lconsider it, many our features comes from consumers like you.. yadda yadda yadda- the usual corporate spiel.
A week ago installed an elgato camera hub update (probably postponing for a month before, becasue I just couldn't be bothered). And would you look at that, lo and behold we have a freaking LUT section with capabilities not just to use some presets, but import your actual custom LUTs. Fook yeah!
Love this company.
Not sure how much of an impact my request had, but I do like to think I had just added that small little consideration to go for it.

Worst $300 Ever Spent.

2 Updates (March 14): First, I finally got to the point of trying to figure out what was going on that I've legit left it unplugged since the time of my last update and while the mic I am using is worse, at least my friends can hear me the entire time and I'm not fighting with it daily to work.

Second, for Elgato. My ticket number is 2008830043. My order number should be in the ticket thread, just not including here unless asked to reduces the chances of someone else claiming my order as theirs.

Update: Figured I'd just keep updating this every single time I have a mic issue. This is 2 days in a row where I've fought tooth and nail to get this mic to work and it's still not working. Just dies immediately after joining any call, loading up a game, or just exisiting.

I'd like to start off by saying that I am a massive Corsair fan. My case, fans, and RAM are all Corsair, so I am not pleased with this entire situation. I purchased the $300 Elgato Streaming Mic Bundle because I heard how great it was. IT IS THE WORST $300 EVER SPENT! I legit cannot go more than a week without my friends starting to complain about mic issues and then for 3 weeks after it's literally constant issues. This isn't one off either. IT HAPPENS EVERY MONTH! I reached out to tech support for help and they wanted me to send my mic back and then they'd send me a replacement. I asked what I should do for the unknown period of time until the replacement got here and they said, "You could just buy a rental, once it gets to you, you ship it back, and then you will be refunded." I told them I don't really have money to do that and I'm not waiting an unknown period of time to talk with my friends. They seemed extremely unbothered by this. I wish I could refund this product because it is legit the worst thing I've purchased.

Why spend $300 on a mic setup when I could spend $30 on a crappy mic and get a better result? I even tried the new Wave Link 3 software in hopes it'd fix it, and nope. It started doing it again after a week. I even tried unplugging everything except my mouse and keyboard and it still didn't work. Truly wish I just had my $300 back so I could go buy a different mic.

neither of the webcams work

spent $150 on the facecam, and when it started crashing constantly during stream i upgraded to the facecam pro 4k bullshit for $200. At this point i've spent almost $400 on webcams and still do not have a functional one. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
yes, i've reached out to elgato to no response whatsoever.

I have only good things to say about Elgato. I really like most of their products (I own several steam decks, as well as some other products from them) and the contact, when support is needed, is friendly and competent. Special thanks to Jason and Bruce for the one time I had issues with a purchase! Would buy here again without hesitation!
