12andUs has been calculating astrological charts since 2015. Today around 74,000 members use it to read their own birth chart, to compare it with the people in their lives, and to follow what the sky is doing in relation to it.
You start by entering a birth date, time and place. From there the site builds your natal chart and explains it in plain language: planets, houses, aspects, and the character traits that come out of them. You can save birth data for partners, friends, family and children, and compare any two charts through synastry and composite analysis, which is where most of our members spend their time. Relationship forecasts, daily and monthly horoscopes, transits, solar and lunar returns, progressions, astrocartography and a library of more specialised reports are all built from the same chart.
There is also a database of more than 70,000 public figures, so you can see how your own chart sits beside someone whose life you already know.
You can ask questions in your own words, too. Our AI astrologer answers from your actual chart rather than from a generic sun sign, in any of the sixteen languages the site speaks: English, Italian, Spanish, French, German, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Turkish, Arabic, Persian, Hindi, Indonesian, Japanese, Serbian, Thai and Chinese.
Most of 12andUs is free to use. A Premium membership lifts the limits, and detailed PDF reports can be bought individually without a subscription.
Birth data is about as personal as information gets, and we treat it that way. Our analytics run on our own servers in Germany, and we carry no advertising or tracking code from any ad network.

I don't think the chatboot is giving good answers, it is very negative.... and it was a lot better in the start, know it is only focused on the same aspects always....

We fine tune our chatbots all the time, and while we do, the answers aren't always as good as we'd like. Feedback like yours is exactly what helps us improve them.
Could you send us a support request with a few details? Please tell us which questions you asked, which answers felt too negative, and where it keeps going back to the same aspects. An example or two would help a lot.
The Initiations reading was probably the most personal one I've done. Some parts I loved, some I wanted to argue with, and some were uncomfortably accurate. What surprised me was that it didn't just tell me "you are this kind of person", it felt more like going through different stages and seeing why certain experiences keep repeating. A couple of things connected back to patterns I've had since I was much younger and I genuinely had to stop reading for a while because it was a lot to process. In a good way though. I came back to it a few days later and got even more out of it.

What you describe is exactly what we hoped the Initiations would be. They aren't meant as a portrait of who you are but as a path through stages, where you can see why some experiences keep coming back. It's natural that some parts feel right, some invite an argument, and some land a bit too close to home. That friction is often where the most useful insights are.
Many of these patterns take time to sink in, and they often show new layers at a latwr time.
If at some point you'd like to look at any of those patterns more closely, you can ask the AI astrologer about them directly, with your chart at hand.

I love 12 and us. They are a professional astrology app. They offer many different reports and charts to learn astrology and to practice astrology. They are always reachable and dedicated to their customers. Their website is very manageable and navigational. I enjoy this website very much and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking astrology answers.

Many people arrive wanting one answer and end up reading the chart themselves, and we hope that happens. Being reachable matters to us as well, so it's good to know it shows. I bought one of the PDF reports and it was very massive: it took me hours to read all. Too much massive? It's better have too much than one of those tiny reports that basically says nothing...

Thank you, the report is actually built as a reference rather than something to finish in one sitting: it's divided into sections so you can read the part that matters now and come back to the rest when a question or a transit brings you there. Better you reopen it months later than finish it in ten minutes and never look again
There is a huge amount of material on this site: I go there for one thing and, 40 minutes later, I find myself reading something completely different. Interesting and intelligent.

That's exactly how many of us at 12andus use the site too: you come for one reading and end up somewhere unexpected. We've built it as a place to explore rather than just look things up, so it's wonderful to know that curiosity is taking you on those detours.
The AI astrologer surprised me. I asked something pretty specific about work and it connected parts of my chart I would never have put together myself.

Thank you. That's the part we most hoped would work: a specific question is what makes it pick out which parts of a chart actually bear on the matter, rather than describing the chart in general. Those connections are usually what an astrologer spends an hour arriving at. If you want to push it further, follow-up questions stay in the same conversation, so it keeps hold of what you've already told it.
Been checking the daily horoscope for a few weeks. Some days are spot on, other days not so much, but I like that it's based on my real chart and transits.

Thanks for writing this, and for being straight about the misses as well as the hits. We'd be wary of anyone claiming every day lands. The chart and the transits behind it are calculated exactly; what a given transit means in your particular life is an interpretation, and some will fit you better than others. Good to know the days that do land are worth the ones that don't.
One thing I really appreciate is that the AI astrologer doesn't answer like my Sun sign is my entire personality. It looks at the whole chart, which should be normal in astrology but honestly isn't on a lot of sites.

Thank you, that's good to hear. The whole chart is what makes an answer yours rather than one twelfth of the population's, so it isn't something we'd want to build any other way. It reads each planet by its sign and its house together, then the aspects between them, taking the sign and house of both ends of every aspect into account. That granular combination is why two people sharing a Sun sign get genuinely different answers.
Really liked the astrocartography. Two places where I had some of the strongest experiences of my life showed up exactly where I would have expected. Thank you 12andus !

Thank you, this is the best kind of confirmation we get. Astrocartography is one of the few things in astrology you can test against a life already lived, so a map that names places you already know carries far more weight than one making promises about places you haven't been. If you want to take it further, you can set your own goal for a search, so the lines are read for what you're actually looking for rather than in general.
At first I was honestly lost. Synastry, composite, transits, pair traits ... too many options when you don't know astrology that well. After a while though it starts making sense.

Synastry, composite, pair traits: those names mean something to an astrologer and very little to anyone else, and the fact that it only clicked after a while means the work of finding your way was left to you rather than done for you. Simplifying how it's all presented is something we're working on, so a first visit points somewhere useful instead of offering everything at once. Glad you stayed long enough for it to come together.
