Always a warm welcome upon arrival with the staff we had our usual fish and chips there always have plenty of choice but we go for this because it's very good

Lovely atmosphere, warm welcome and great food. We stopped for lunch on our way back from holiday, found the old three pigeons and had a great meal for a very reasonable price, the king prawn linguine and special were excellent quality and sensible portions.

Old Three Pigeons Nesscliffe “The Place For Pies”
Having had a lovely walk around the Cliffe at Nesscliffe and feeling somewhat peckish we called into the Three Pigeons where we were instantly made welcome by Tasha, who made us aware of the menu and that the Chef had just added a list of pies to the Autumn specials!
There was a wide range including Lamb, Beef and a Vegetarian option. Tasha sealed the deal when she showed us the pictures of the pies which looked like they were straight from a TV Chefs kitchen. Unable to resist we both decided to try the Lamb & Vegetarian options.
Now I have had many a pie in my lifetime however it is hard to imagine anyone, anywhere, making a pie better than those that Sean had presented , both pies were perfection in their own way, the lamb pie was shimmering with golden pastry with the end of the shank methodically standing to attention through the centre. On tucking into the pie it was brimming with succulent meat and just enough veggie juices. The vegetarian version was also presented with same care and pride and looked absolutely fabulous in its golden pastry with its crimped top served with creamed potatoes, tender stem broccoli, carrots and of course vegetarian gravy.
We enjoyed our meals so much that we have already planned our next visit.
