I had an excellent experience with 5.11 Tactical. UPS left my package in my neighbor's yard and she was away for three weeks, so I thought the package never came. When I called to ask about the package, the customer service representative immediately sent me a new package - next day delivery. A week later, my neighbor showed up at my door with the original package. I called 5-11 and another customer service representative immediately sent me a label so I could return the original package for free. Both times, the customer service representatives were extremely professional and kind to me.

I was told my order would be sent on Tuesday but it wasn't sent until the next Monday - information I had to chase. I paid more through the company because I needed the gear urgently and other stores told me they didn't have the stock. The salesman assured me many times that it would be sent out Tuesday. When I called today, "Lily" told me that the warehouse was behind because of Easter (Easter was already scheduled when I ordered and was told dispatch date would be Tuesday). Lily told me it was sent out on Friday. Then I asked for a tracking number....and she said maybe it only got picked up on Monday.
I may as well have dragged my heels with a cheaper outlet. If the company were just honest in the first place to tell customers that they are behind or that they will be slow to proocess then we could choose. Wish that I had read other reviews here before I ordered.
Horrible Customer Service
Horrible customer service. We placed a large order on Saturday and really needed it the Friday so i called first thing Monday to ask to pay for 2 day air as it was not an option on line. The lady told me that is not adv and they dont change any orders. I then asked her return policy and she told me to go online.....long story short went to Amazon did the exact same order it was 70 LESS and free 2 day air!! I will be returning my whole order to 511 Tactical and ordering from other locations moving forward.

I am a nationally registered Paramedic. Through NAEMT i have access to certain discounts for 5.11 and their site. Today i looked on their site for a certain knife. Couldn’t find it, though i know they have it. Then i simply looked for “knife”.... literally 2 came up. Both “rescue tools”. So i call their customer service and am told because of some partnership with Facebook they cannot have “weapons” on their website. The woman i spoke with was actually telling me that if you look for an item on their site and get no results, you should call them to make sure they actually don’t have it.
As I’m trying to ask what other things are not allowed to be on their site but yet exist in their stock... this woman could NOT comprehend the question. She would over and over refer to how NAEMT and 511 decide what things are discounted. I explained to her i clearly understood that 100%.. but continued to ask what other items are “hidden” from their website due to some ridiculous contract or partnership.. again she would refer to discounts. Upon telling her to let me speak with someone else, call conveniently is disconnected.
5.11, you have dropped your customer service almost as low as your dignity by agreeing to not list items on your site based on if they are seen as weapons. Fyi, you can use a boot as a weapon. You can use shoe laces as a weapon. Hell, you can use a tactical flashlight.
I’m no longer using your products and services anymore.
Defective Product & No Customer Service
I purchased a pair of pants and a belt as a test order, at first I was very pleased with the pants but the belt didn't fit them. In fact, the belt doesn't fit ANY pants, even my husband's! The buckle is too big and awkward and we tried everything to get it through the belt loops but I ended up ripping one of them. That was the first indication that the pants weren't going to last. Two months later the pants had split up one of the inseams, the hems are unravelling, the zipper is starting to malfunction and two of the pockets are falling off. I haven't exactly been rough on them, I wash them gently (they were VERY expensive and I tried my best to follow the care instructions) and I only wore them to work. I work indoors and mostly just stand around all day. I'd hate to see the condition if I'd actually worn them outside in the elements! Contacted customer service, no response after 45 days, contacted them again, finally got an answer only to be told that they don't do much for international orders. Their best suggestion was trying to exchange them at a location in-store. I don't have an in-store location within two hours of me. So it looks like I won't be ordering any more 5.11 tactical gear, what a shame. I had such high hopes for these clothes and got such disappointment instead!!
Getting your order take a long time!
Product is great but don't buy from the website. Just buy in store if you can. Its been 2 weeks since I paid for and placed my order and still nothing. Also, there is no accurate or up to date tracking information for my order. It has said in transit for over a week now. I am pretty frustrated with it. I'll just never order from the website again. Hopefully it comes soon and hopefully I don't need to return anything.
Horrible Customer Service
Customer service does not seem to exist for 5.11 Tactical. Wish I had known this before ordering. I want to return a product and need a RA number but so far can't get anyone on the phone or a response via email.
Not a good way to earn the loyalty of your customers...

Finally got through to customer service and got my RA number to return my product. I shipped the item back to them and they have had now for a week but still no refund. Contacted support again today and was given an excuse that they were running a few days behind. Yea, no kidding!
It is obvious that 5.11 has a horrible operation and this this online purchase has been nothing short of retail hell. While I do love their products, I cannot and will not ever buy anything from this clown show of a business again.

5.11 had my return now for two weeks and still no action on it. I then filed a PayPal Dispute for not receiving a refund and two days after filing my complaint, PayPal ruled in my favor and returned my money.
For the life of me, I cannot understand how a company can care so little about their customers and the reputation that they are earning online. As I previously said, I will never buy anything from 5.11 Tactical again and will warn all my friends and family to avoid them as well.
Don't think I'll be ordering anymore.
I love their product, but the company and their customer service is AWFUL. I've made 2 orders within the last month, but of which had problems. Call customer service, wait at least 25 minutes to get on the phone with someone. Emailed them, it's about a week and half later, still no response.

this is the second year I have been complaining about these guys! their site crashed on black friday and a week earlier! just stopped responding. this happened last year as well!!! WHAT???? have you learned nothing in 365 days? how incompetent does your technology department have to be to fail year after a full year on the same things? wow.
customer service is unavailable (waiting for over 20 min right now to get a rep so took the time to write this review). the order I placed 10 days ago is still not shipped! these guys never stop to amaze me as this issue happened last year AS WELL!

Terrible Service
We placed an order on 8/17/2018. After 3 weeks of no shipment, I called to check on the status of our order. The woman I spoke with said she didn't know why it hadn't shipped, but she'd check with warehouse and ship overnight. A week later I called back because we still had not received our order. The woman I spoke with, Maria, said she would check with warehouse and let me know. At the end of the day I hadn't heard back from her, so I called and spoke with a different woman, Bethany, who was able to give me a UPS tracking number. I asked if it would be overnighted since it had been 3 weeks. She said she didn't know. She said sometimes the warehouse can do overnight and sometimes they can't. When I checked the tracking number the next morning, UPS says our order will arrive on Wednesday, September 12th. That's almost 1 month after our order. We will never order from you directly again. Our orders come from Galls within 2 business days. This was really terrible service.
Purchased a product from 5.11
Purchased a product from 5.11 on the 18th, it was done with processing and shipped by the 20th. Should arrive on the 25th, well within the time frame stated for this shipping method. Great processing time, shipping tracking on the site is updated on the dot, zero problems with this company. Couldn't have gone smoother.
Horrible Order Processing
Their products in general are always good but processing of the orders is horrendous. I placed an online order on 5/19 and it still says it's processing. Reached out via their website for an update, no response after waiting a week. Called customer service twice, last week and again today. Spent a combined 20 minutes on hold just to be told both times that it was still processing. Ridiculous. Now I'm told it will be put on some priority list, we'll see but I have lost faith in ordering directly from them again.

On the chance that I might be able to get a replacement part for a flashlight produced by 5.11. I contacted 5.11 customer service/UK by email. I received a reply within 24hrs from a gentleman called Andrew who was extremely helpful and was able to supply me with the part I needed to get my flashlight back in full working order. Definitely recommend 5.11 their staff namely Andrew couldn't have been more helpful. Again thank you Andrew very much appreciated.

This company has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. The products I ordered online took 3weeks to receive. All emails that I sent were returned with an automated message & not dealt with. I have been a long time customer of 5.11, but after the last 2 encounters & the lack of quality service, I will choose to spend my $$ elsewhere. Buyer Beware!!

I have been waiting on a refund for a month, they've had my return that long now. I've tried calling, good luck getting anyone on the phone. Email is just as bad, it took three weeks just to get an RA number to even return the boots I ordered. Decent products, but terrible customer service experience.
Terrible customer service!
So I rarely write reviews good or bad, but 5.11 has the worst customer service I have ever seen. Every time I have had to call them about an issue the customer service agents are just rude and don't want to help. The only times I have called is when 5.11 has either, lost my order/shipped it to a wrong address or shipped the wrong item. The agents act like it's the customer's fault and they "are doing you a favor" to fix their screw up. Now I do love their products but the customer service sucks. I'm just about to the point where I won't buy their products due to this, but I think I will just get them through Amazon where the shipping and return process is guaranteed.
Just say no
I ordered some clothing for my sons (both are paramedics). They didn’t send one of the items and triple charged me for another. They immediately Rectified the missing item. However did nothing about the overcharge. I have been trying to get the corrected for three months now. You can’t get in touch with customer service, receptionist refuses to connect you with a supervisor and emails are answered only with generic emails, so they’re actually ignored. I’ll never make that mistake again.
Terrible customer service.
Ordered a pair of boots didn't fit good so called customer service and no answer had to call and select that I was a dealer and what do you think happened they answered the phone got my RA number and sent my return for refund. The boots have been at there for over a week and still no refund. I will not order or support anything that has 5.11.

I don't know how a person can be ready when the buttons don't stay on the clothing. VERY VERY OVERPRICED FOR WHAT YOU GET AND THIS IS COMING FROM A COMBAT VET.
