Some of the staff had very poor and almost demeaning behaviour around LGBTQIA+ folks and particularly Trans & Gender Diverse students. I had one helpful teacher in a unit, but the small class sizes I found weren’t conducive to collaborative learning and left a lot to be desired in terms of student cohorts & teachers who know a lot about various marginalised identities or experiences beyond a ‘thought exercise’, so it felt at least. Studied part of my Bachelors of Counselling before going to continue elsewhere at another more well equipped institution.

Although I ended up withdrawn from my course before the census date due to personal circumstances in Feb 2026, the consistent follow-up and check-in from Student Support officer Josh and Course Adviser Janet had been courteous and informative. They made me hold on to the preservation that one day I'll return to ACAP to proceed with my course and competing it in due time.

I want to thank you Josh and Janet for their patience and encouragement, and wish them all the best with their professional journey.

If I could give them a negative score I would! The most rude, unprofessional and greedy university in Australia. Most teachers do not respond to emails when you need help and rude staff who assume you’re not paying attention when your in class and I was told so by them! if you need an extension or clarification and help its your fault never theres! Was given separate instructions for assessments from two teachers covering same unit. When I applied at ACAP I asked for on campus classes and was told only blended delivery was available I agreed and as long as I was there classes were only delivered online might have changed down the track but I wasn’t going to stay to find out the only on campus I had was for my course workshops. There are better universities out there at better prices and better quality staff and teachers! I was sent bills for my units with due dates and every couple of days I kept getting emailed the same bills until I paid. This felt like harassment! They sell you a great speech at their information nights but I wish I had taken the bad reviews seriously and not wasted time, money and energy! I’m elsewhere now and it was the BEST thing I did no stress and no confusion like I experienced at ACAP!!

My experience at ACAP University College has been genuinely positive. As an international student, I started out feeling unsure and lacking confidence, but the support from the educators and staff made a huge difference. They guided me, encouraged me, and helped me grow into a confident social worker. The learning environment and community experiences were valuable and practical. I’m grateful for the support I received and the skills I’ve gained along the way.

Nate was excellent as my point of contact for Acap when thinking of applying. He was knowledgeable and patient and guided me every step of the way.

Don't waste your money or time.
I attended ACAP a couple of years ago.
At the time I studied a bachelor psychological science at at Swinburne university of technology and then took a year off, before continuing my studies at ACAP. Some of the units they were teaching for second year students at ACAP were actually from the exact same textbook for first year students at Swinburne!
It seemed like a lot of the time the staff didn't really know what they were doing or why they were there. As a direct result, I found myself getting quite frustrated as I often had to correct the tutors and sometimes even the lecturers in class while on campus. On one occassion I actually had to give one of their tutors an in class tutorial of the SPSS software in front of everyone because the tutor was completely incompetent. It was alarming because the tutor was one of their own students studying a masters of psychology, and should have known their way around it by that stage. If that wasn't alarming enough, I recall one particular college lead/coordinator/lecturer having an extremely poor understanding of the subject matter and the assessments. Their understanding was so poor that they couldn't answer any questions related to the subject that they were teaching, and when I pointed this out; I was punished by being locked out of the unit, while still being enrolled. As a direct result I ended up receiving an academic sanction, despite the fact all of my previous academic history at other universities was flawless.
They also had a very small, very limited library at the campus, very limited online resources, and an obvious dependence on outdated articles from Google scholar. They also had a really concerning reliance on using Gramarly, and often used it to grade people's work. If I hadn't have been an alumni at a different university I likely wouldn't have been able to write the high quality essays that I produced throughout my time at ACAP.
Additionally, bullying runs rampant at ACAP, it's systemic problem. The staff bully the students, and the students bully each other. If you choose to speak up about being bullied, you will be offered counselling sessions, and the people bullying you will get away with it. It's such a big problem that I personally received quite a few unsolicited abusive messages on my social media accounts from people that I had never met before; that were also students at ACAP.
Once I finally left ACAP, I continued to get periodic phone calls begging me to come back.

With all due respect, ACAP is extremely expensive at a cost of almost 4 times the fees at other universities, hires sub-par staff, has minimal resources, poor chances of being hired once studies have been completed, and is an unsafe environment. Why would I want to re-enroll?

I am very impressed with ACAP, the amount of consideration and clear communication provided is amazing and so helpful. I find the content to be taught in a straightforward way and all the staff are incredibly knowledgable and friendly. The student portal is also very easy to navigate and there are so many helpful resources to guide you through anything you may be confused about.

The professors are so friendly and supportive and they have the ability to make the students understand and learn from their peers in a meaningful and constructive manner. Courses are not only for students who have been engaged to their academic goals but also for those who want to be part of it as well.

So far so good l have a very good experience of how the staff of ACAP are so eager to help individuals just was done to me which l believe that is there nature because if they do not do that already it will not reach my turn, therefore, they have a keen interest of helping students especially the new one's to get to their feet which is so awesome something l haven't experienced before hence l do recommend ACAP to people like me who needed help would be better off in ACAP

I completed my Bachelor and Honours degree in psychological science with ACAP and my experience has been nothing short of outstanding. I found the class sizes were better suited to promote class engagement and the academic staff always very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend ACAP University College to anyone considering enrollment.

So far my experience with ACAP has been great! Everyone has been helpful, insightful and reassuring. I haven't studied in a long time and it is a bit challenging at first to jump into it but there is so much resources and support that help you along the way. I even had an issue with not being able to make one of my classes and they were happy to put me in a different timeslots within 24 hours. It has made my journey to study very comforting and enjoyable. I would highly recommend ACAP if you are looking into studying.

My personal experience so far at ACAP has been wonderful! I am currently a first yr in bachelors of criminology and justice and I am loving it. There are lovely course advisors that check in to see how you’re going with studies and help you along the way with your enrolment which is extremely helpful with filling out forms and applications. The teachers are lovely and explain any questions in perfect detail. There is also multiple optional classes that help provide students extra help in certain areas of studying e.g “what does my assessment question mean”, “get organised for study”, “how to navigate online” and more! So far throughout my study I haven’t found any problems or concerns and I think it is a great place to do your degree, meet new people, and overall be in a wonderful environment :)

I am a new student returning to study after many years. The academic support is extremely beneficial and I would recommend ACAP to anyone starting higher education.

My experience at ACAP has been very positive, mainly because of the educators who supported me throughout the course. I was going through many personal and academic challenges, but my lecturers were always approachable, kind, and understanding. They took the time to listen, provide guidance, and encourage me when I needed it most.

Their feedback was thoughtful and supportive, and it helped me build confidence in my academic writing and professional skills. Because of their encouragement, I was able to stay motivated, achieve strong results, and about to complete my degree soon. I’m also grateful to the support staff, who were always helpful, responsive, and patient whenever I needed assistance.

Overall, I truly appreciate the care, support, and dedication I received at ACAP. It made a real difference in my academic journey in Australia.

I would give this university and this review zero stars if I could. For anyone considering enrolling at this institution, heed my warning: DON’T!!!!!!!!!!

Most rude and incompetent university staff ever. Teachers are egotistic and brag about themselves like they’re above everyone and they don’t stay focused. Some forget to go through assessments, some don’t bother responding to emails, and you can completely forget about asking for an extension or support regarding assessments.

Firstly, you’re only marked for how you write the assessment, not the information you present. Secondly, teachers have advised extension staff to not grant extensions for assessments due to teachers being under pressure with marking, even though it takes them months to get your results. Lastly, there is a lot of conflicting information on how assessment tasks must be completed when asking the teachers for help, and it’s basically one giant guessing game until you receive your results, all with the looming risk of failing a subject.

The staff are rude to you in the meantime and expect you to be okay with that, but can’t handle it when you’re rude back. I think they forget who pays their wages and actually keeps those airheads employed.

I’m sincerely glad I left and I cannot emphasise enough how foolish you’d be to even think about enrolling with ACAP University!!!!!!

EDIT: Thank you for your response but I am doing even better now that I’ve withdrawn; I’m saving money and actually doing something I enjoy in an environment that makes me feel emotionally safe with people who make me feel wanted and valued. You can kindly redirect your “assistance” to someone else who will tolerate you 😊

The ACAP coaching course has been absolutely exceptional. The flexible online learning format made it easy to balance study with other commitments, and the support from the lecturer and staff has been nothing short of fabulous. The wealth of resources provided throughout the course has been incredibly valuable, helping me deepen my understanding and build confidence. I’ve learned so much and feel truly encouraged to pursue my journey as a coach, empowering others to improve their wellbeing. Highly recommend this program to anyone considering a career in coaching!

I can't give these guys a good enough review! The learning is so much simpler and easier, the classes are smaller which allows every student more time if needed. I didn't think university was ever an option however these guys made it possible and helped along the way.

ACAP has been both my bachelor and masters program choice. I had an excellent experience with in the university. Additionally, the teachers and staff were a highlight for my studies. I found the teacher support, peer encouragement and academic support services to be what made me decide to do my masters not long after my graduation of my bachelor of counselling. The options, trimesters and well structured curriculum made study easy and very accessible. I felt very green as an older student, however the advanced online student portal was so streamline and user friendly. I am an huge advocate for this university and I was elated in completion of my studies. Yet, I was also sad as I felt I was leaving a huge part of me behind due to how much my time there became more than just study but a great opportunity for my growth as a academic scholar.
