Likely to be unable to check balance due to website blocking IP address unable to differentiate between robot and human

Was unable to check card balance for days as the website claimed that my IP was the same as the robot (and would not even load the robot verification), tried home wifi and mobile internet outside and was still blocked.

When I called up to get the transaction history I then found that my card has an unauthorized transaction which I am in the process of disputing.

My experience with prepaid Visa gift card has been awesome, nothing but everything that I expected and without spending a cent over my budget. The card basically works the same as a normal Visa card without the hassle of applying for a Visa card, so all the benefits and none of the hassles. Thanks Activgiftcard

Truly a bunch of rotten cowboys running…

Truly a bunch of rotten cowboys running this company, they have so many tactics to dance in a legal grey zone of saying they're helping you, but making it as painful as possible in hopes you drop off.

Example 1: They have paper cards that can easily tear off the cards details then can easily cancel that card immidiately, yet takes 3-5 days to send a DIGITAL replacement to verify

Very annoyingly unhelpful support and useless website

TLDR: Use the support phone number on the card to get the balance with the PCN number using the interactive voice response interface.

I was given a few $500 gift cards from these people. I think they were purchased at an Australian supermarket. They seem to work OK in many places. However, they initially did not work on some blocked websites like eBay and AliExpress. I sought email help by logging a support request attempting to get the balance and the website's registration process. Both gave the same error "We are unable to process your request at this time. If you continue to receive this error, please contact Cardholder services by calling the number on the back of your card." when attempting to use the website interface at: cardbalance dot com dot au that is referenced from their main website. It is a very confusing site as the cards have three numbers on them: The credit card number, a PCN number and a longer barcode number. The site is not very helpful in informing you which is the one to use. It is the credit card number on the front, I presume, as all others are too long for the field. However, the information/site does not work. The email help I got was slow and tedious and ultimately unhelpful after 10 days of back and forth. I almost suspect the help is deliberately unhelpful so they can ultimately expire the cards with unused amounts on them. Or they are just dumb AI-driven crap. As an example: one of the messages was so stupid that it sent me an email asking me what my email address was. I still have no idea what the "registration" process provides you with. Despite supposedly becoming registered through this life-draining process. Please avoid these gift cards like the plaque unless you want your recipients to hate you more than the Jews hate Hitler. In the end, I had to rely on the phone balance option (as mentioned at the top).

I have to laugh when reading their website blurb: "Gift giving can be hard work! Save yourself the angst and indecision and leave it to the Activ Visa Gift Card to do the work for you and bring a smile to all who receive it."

What they must mean here is to let your recipient experience the angst on your behalf as the "Gift"! 8-(
