We explain your cover in your own language, in writing, before you commit. We assess whether the sum insured actually reflects what it would cost to rebuild or replace, rather than simply quoting the lowest premium. And when you need to claim, we handle the insurer on your behalf. Amazing service. Hugo was hugely knowledgeable and gave us quotes incredibly fast. He was always at the end of the phone answering questions and was very diligent in getting the right insurance for us. Highly recommend.
After finding concerns with my existing property insurer online (poor claims response history, rising premiums) I started searching for alternatives. I was drawn to Adler & Rochefort because they were comfortable with English communication (my Portuguese is muito mal so far!) and worked with second/vacation home owners. It was reassuring that I was asked for specific information about the property and my needs, with follow-up, before a quote was obtained. The company they matched me with has good financial strength per AM Best and a much better claims history. Coverage is a clear match for my needs and the premium was competitive. Hugo has been very helpful and responsive. I hope I never need the insurance, but my experience suggests I will be supported if I do.

I had been trying to arrange private health insurance in Portugal for almost a week and was getting nowhere. From the moment I contacted Adler & Rochefort, everything became so much easier.
Hugo was incredibly quick, responsive, patient, and genuinely helpful throughout the whole process. He explained everything clearly, answered every question I had, and made sure I had the documents I needed. Even when the official payment receipt was still being processed, he went the extra mile and prepared a formal confirmation of payment for me in the meantime.
The whole process was handled so smoothly and quickly, and I always felt that I was being properly looked after rather than simply sold a policy.
I would 100% recommend Adler & Rochefort, and I will definitely be coming back to them whenever I need help with insurance or other services in the future.
