ADU California Inc. helps California homeowners plan and complete accessory dwelling unit (ADU) projects with a clear, organized process from initial property evaluation through design, permitting, and construction coordination. Our team focuses on making the ADU process easier to understand. We help property owners evaluate their lot, explore possible ADU sizes and layouts, understand local requirements, develop architectural plans, coordinate engineering and permit documentation, estimate project costs, and prepare for construction. We work with a range of ADU projects, including detached ADUs, attached ADUs, garage conversions, junior ADUs, backyard cottages, and custom accessory dwelling units. Whether a homeowner is planning a compact 400-square-foot unit or a larger 800–1,200-square-foot ADU, our goal is to help create a practical design that fits the property, budget, and long-term goals. ADU California serves homeowners throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and other California communities, including San Jose, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Cupertino, San Mateo, Redwood City, Walnut Creek, and surrounding cities. Homeowners may build an ADU for rental income, additional living space, multigenerational housing, a home office, or to increase the functionality and potential value of their property. At ADU California, we emphasize clear communication, transparent planning, professional design, permit coordination, and a structured project process. Learn more at ADU.zone.

I was hesitant to start a remodeling project because of budget concerns but John at ADU helped us figure out what made sense for our situation. They didn’t push us to do more than we needed. We ended up with a kitchen update in our home that looks incredible and stayed within budget. Honest, professional and genuinely cares about the customer. Rare find in this.
My husband and I had been looking at our backyard for months trying to figure out how an ADU could actually fit without making the whole yard feel cramped. The property review helped put things into perspective. Instead of just showing us a pretty ADU design, they looked at the property itself and how the available space could be used. We got a much better sense of what could work and what would still need to be checked. That made the project feel much more realistic instead of just being an idea we kept talking about.
