Clothes never came + terrible customer service
Firstly absolutely terrible customer service for the price range they are selling at, they like to blame it on everything instead of fixing their own issues & also the response time is some of the slowest I have ever experienced. I ordered around $600 worth of clothes during their Black Friday sale. But still one month later the clothes never came! After multiple emails and messages they passed it off to the carriers fault but the tracking link clearly showing the parcel still at the Afends warehouse. This was not the terms and conditions I expected. It takes forever for them to come up with solutions then every time we did another problem comes up. I was really disappointed & do not recommend buying of the afends website!
AVOID! Worst company I have ever dealt with
I purchased $500’s worth of clothes in the Green Friday sale, I hadn’t purchased any afends before but the way the clothes looked on the website and all the environmentally friendly policies they claim I thought I would love it. Sadly the clothes I received were awful quality, I’ve bought better quality tea towels from Kmart.
When I tried to return the items due to the poor quality and bad sizing, I was told I could only get a store credit. After a very lenghty back and forth with their so called ‘customer service team’ I went back through the process and did another order (without finishing it of course). No where at all are you warned of this rule, From the first page to check out. You actually have to find the page in the side bar and navigate the drop down menu to see the smallprint that any items on sale are only refundable as a gift card… I purchased these items in the ‘green Friday sale’, in which everything on the website was reduced!
I said how outrageous this was and they responded by saying: that’s our policy and it is legal.
I asked what they were going to do with the returned clothes and they told me that they will be resold, Admitting that they are doubling profits by ripping off their customers.
Absolutely despicable company and I hope anyone reading this never uses them, Disgusting!
Bad return policy and horror customer service
As a company that sells products in this price range one would assume you can return items easily and without any problems. What i have experienced so far is simply not acceptable.
First of all they force you to pay the return label on your own, whilst trying to transfer your refund into a gift card instead of giving back the money. Also you have to ship your parcel abroad, what costs you insane amounts of money.
Anyways: i sent back the items following the instructions. Despite the tracking link clearly showing the parcel being successfully delivered, the customer service refuses to give me the refund. They simply say "the parcel never reached the warehouse". Also the response time is the slowest i have ever experienced so far – IF – they answer.
I hope i will get my money back, but i recommend not to buy here – you will regret it.

I purchased two expensive dresses during their 'Green Friday Sale,' and nowhere was it clearly stated that refunds were not allowed—only store credit, which takes several days to process. When I reached out to explain that I needed a refund due to their inconsistent sizing, they refused. For a brand that prides itself on 'sustainability and limiting fast fashion,' it's quite ironic that they won't allow exchanges or returns when the issue is no fault of the customer.
Poor communication/delivery
Understanding the item I ordered was on pre-order for late July and I ordered in March, there was limited to no follow up when the release date was pushed back a number of times. When my order arrived in September may I add only one out of the two dresses were in the parcel. For a environmentally conscious brand shipping the items separately doesn't make much sense? The quality of the dress is also questionable, very thin and poor stitching to say the least and my experience was just filled with delays and errors in delivery so could and would not recommend on the aspect.

I was a first-time customer, and the clothing I bought was too small (but beautiful and great quality). Customer service was amazing—they were friendly, patient, and gave me a refund without any hassle. I was really surprised by how generous they were with me. 10/10!

Customer service is the absolute worst
Customer service is the absolute worst. So unhelpful and condescending. Theres no phone number to ring stores, the phone number on website doesn't get answered. The live chat I have waited an hour and no one has answered that either.
Wouldn't reccomend due to bad returns policy
I like Afends because of the natural materials they use, but they have the WORST returns policy that I doubt I will ever shop with them again. I purchased pants during a sale and got my usual size, but they were both too small. I have to pay ($10) to return them plus they are now full price and to get the same pants I will have to pay substantially more for them, which I can't afford. Now I am just left with credit as I wait for the next sale. As an online shop you have to expect that the clothes may not fit and this policy is extremely poor for the customers. Very disappointed.
Haven't been able to return wrong size
Ordered some jeans, quite excited as have never bought anything from this brand. The jeans were too big, so I tried to exchange them online... when you click through to return them, and go though the process online, it say 'non returnable item' and to contact customer service (I want the jeans, just a different size). Contacted customer service, they said 'it's easy, go online and follow the prompts', Same problem, actually impossible to get a refund and the site keeps directing me to the email address I already contacted. I have sent them screenshots of everything and am awaiting a response. I will update my review and change the score if this is resolved. But buyer beware, returns look problematic...
Extremely poor customer service
The customer service at AFENDS is abysmal. I ordered a gift certificate for my granddaughter on 12/26/23 for Christmas. She finally received it on 1/17/24. I exchanged approximately 12 emails with AFENDS noting that she had not received her gift certificate. I repeatedly gave them her email address - I also had to send them the bank statement that showed them they had been paid. This went on for weeks. They finally sent me a copy of the invoice and they had the WRONG email listed. I contacted them once again and pointed out the error. She finally got her gift certificate and then AFENDS proceeded to blame me for the issue. I will never order anything from them again - horrible experience.
Give you a massive wedgie #terribledesign
I bought the recycled swimsuit size 10 (M).
The suit is only good for sitting around the pool. The first time I wore it, it gave me a front and back wedgie. The moment you move in it, it rides up and you have to constantly adjust it. All your lady parts hang out. In the surf it’s almost dangerous with the speed and impact which it wedgies you. It really hurt and almost cut me in two pieces. Cute style but sadly, it is the most uncomfortable and un-functional suit. would like to return it, but I wore it, once, so I can’t. Bummed out. Waste of money.
Absolutely terrible quality
Received the Asta dress and the quality is absolutely shocking. Firstly product smelled awful straight out of the bag, dropped stitches all the way down both side seams in 5 different locations. and the waist tie loops are hanging on by a thread. What the hell?
Either this is something someone has worn and returned damaged and afends just shipped it out to me without checking or it is being manufactured extremely poorly and cheaply. Terrible experience.
Just okay
Clothes are just okay, especially considering the price. Sizing is kinda off (runs small). Customer service wasn't so great, ended up cancelling an order because they weren't able to give me an ETA on shipping just sent a generic email saying 5-7 business days, even though it had been 7 business days.
A great Australian company with…
A great Australian company with sustainability as a mission statement and great designs. These guys are lovely and have been purchasing from them for over 10 years by now, since they started. Some of my favourite jeans designs come from them and the clothings are always very comfortable, the materials never feel cheap. Only thing that unfortunately marrs the experience is the sizing: it can be very on and off. Sometimes an M will fit like a glove, next time it may be too tight or even too lose. If they started to implement a more thorough sizing system, there really wouldn't be any complaints to be made.
avoid 2for1 deals like the plague
avoid 2for1 deals like the plague. you have to return both items if you don't like 1 item. ridiculous process with no information stating this at time of purpose. when concerns/feedback were raised i was met with excuses and zero acknowledgement that the process was a bad customer experience not to mention terrible for the environment
Products felt cheap and poorly made
Products felt cheap and poorly made. The jacket I bought did not fit at all like the website had pictured. I bought the items on a store wide sale and was only allowed a store credit. Which would be issued to me AFTER the sale was over. Terrible customer service, terrible policies and even more terrible products. Don’t waste your money on poor fitting cheap clothing.
Ill fitting and overpriced
I wanted the Jesse dress for ages, finally ordered and was super disappointed. I know it was meant to be oversized but it was ridiculously baggy even in the smallest size and basically completely see through.
I knew returns wouldn't be free, but I didn't expect to have to do everything myself, including all the customs forms etc. It also took them several days to approve my return which is mad considering I had to pay for it. It cost £15 to send back a teeny dress - I just hope everything goes smoothly and my refund gets processed.
UPDATE: Return went smoothly, refund processed within a day of receiving so I have given them an extra star.
