Needs more clarity
Needs more clarity. I ordered a print, which I love. It arrived in good time and well packaged. But the size did not match the description.
I would have benefitted from much more specific information on the approximate size of the print and how it would arrive (such as in a mount, the size of the mount etc.). This would have helped me order the right frame earlier.
Instead the print arrived a lot small than expected in an unconventionally sized mount that did not fit conventional frames. In the end I have had to order a custom mount.
I will buy from here again for the right piece but I will message the artist for much more specific information before I do so.

Super slow with the delivery and super expensive as it cost me £180 for 2 reprint delivery cost and it took over 3 weeks and still waiting.

Many thanks for taking the time to share your feedback with us about your your recent orders, we're very sorry to hear that you have had a negative experience with us and that you find the cost of shipping prohibitive.
We have looked into this and can see that you placed two orders with us, with one being successfully delivered 9 days after purchase. We have enquired further about the second piece and were made aware that you spoke to the gallery directly prior to dispatch; this piece is currently in transit you and the gallerist apologises for any inconvenience or confusion caused by this unintended delay.
Regaring the cost of delivery, as we are an online marketplace, all artworks sold on Affordable Art are dispatched directly from the gallery, so the prices and the shipping destinations depend on where they are based in relation to the customer. As well as the actual shipping cost which takes into account the dimensions and weight of the artwork, they may need to factor in packaging, and any insurance into their shipping prices.
In the instance that you come across some art you would like to purchase where the delivery cost is discouraging you, we are very happy for you to contact us and discuss this further, as the gallery may be willing to negotiate. This can be done by visiting the artwork page and clicking the 'Enquire about this piece' underneath the 'Buy Now' button.
Please look out for the follow-up email from our customer service team to support you further with the undelivered item.

It took quite some time and thought to decide on a wedding gift - then having thought the job was done and a piece bought I was told the piece was no longer available. The apology and speed of refund was fine, just disappointing as the decision journey is what takes time when buying art.

As a marketplace, offering a platform for over 250 galleries, sometimes it is not possible for the artist to fulfil the item - for example, when a piece gets sold elsewhere and the gallery fails to update their Affordable Art page in a timely manner. We do fully recognise the importance of only featuring available works online, choosing a gift is a very personal experience and we completely understand your frustration regarding this cancellation.
