A few months post-op, I feel like a refreshed version of myself. My face and neck are naturally lifted, and my eyelid surgery has given me a more awake, youthful look. The results are subtle yet transformative, exactly what I was hoping for.

I have been interested in doing something to address my neck and jowls for a number of years. I am 54 and I work in the aesthetic industry and am knowledgeable about skin and ageing. My neck and jawline were the areas of my face that I wasn’t able to fix to my satisfaction with anything I had tried. For the record I had had Botox and fillers, IPL, fractional RF, thread lifts, skin needing, fibroblast and skin boosters. Literally everything that is available and is supposed to help plus all of the topical products including prescription creams, retinols, oestrogen creams, everything. Also drank collagen supplements, ate oily fish, tried facial exercises, silicone tape etc.
So when I decided enough was enough and surgery was really what I was looking at to get any significant lasting improvement I needed to find my surgeon. I carried out a lot of research for about 3 years on many different surgeons before choosing my surgeon. I was reading testimonials, looking at reviews and scrutinising endless before and after photos. I knew that I wanted a surgeon who was going to make the biggest improvement on my jawline and neck. I have noticed that a lot of surgeons are operating on much younger patients than me and the look that they are achieving is not what I was looking for. The instagram trends of severely stretched eyes and massively elevated lateral brows was not what I was after. I also noticed that a lot of older patients either don’t look much different afterwards or still had loose skin around the neck and jawline. I finally after much deliberation decided on my surgeon. His patients looked significantly refreshed. His after photos were not edited and were taken in the same conditions as the before photos. A lot of his patients were my age or older and I could see he was skilled and was achieving the type of results that I was looking for. The booking in and consultation procedure was easy and and the staff were lovely I was picked up from the airport and didn’t have to worry about anything. The hotel was included and was perfect for myself and husband and I was taken to the clinic on the morning of my surgery. I filled in all of the consent forms and was ready to go. I can honestly say the procedure was a lot less traumatic than I expected. It wasn’t painful at all. On arrival I was given medication in a tablet form. I’m guessing it was some sort of sedative as I felt very relaxed but still able to walk and talk. I had local anaesthetic injections all around my face and neck that bit stung a little but that was it for the pain. I was awake during the surgery and I felt a bit of tugging and pressure but no pain at all and I couldn’t see anything gruesome so it was absolutely fine. I much preferred not going under a general anaesthetic and it made my recovery very easy. I was taken back to the hotel with medication. I had 2 drains in my face and a neck support. As soon as the anaesthetic wore off I could feel how tight my neck was. The staff were really lovely caring and kind. They contacted me many times to check on me I went back for drain removal and even since I’ve been home they have messaged me several times checking I’m ok and happy. I would recommend this surgeon to anybody. He has done an amazing job I am thrilled with my result. I am glad he’s not an old man as I would go back to him in another 15-20 years if I need to and I’d want him again! I’m really pleased and if you are thinking of this surgery you couldn’t be in better hands! X

No bruising, no oozing, no pain, no itching. I was able to see, to talk, to eat. I felt amazing, slightly tired.
Right after my procedures l was spoon fed by a nurse, while resting comfortably in the clinic. In three days l looked "normal", just swollen.
