Ordered two suitcases from Alexander Hutton. they’re really good quality and the best looking suitcases I’ve ever bought. They arrived in good timing. When I email they always responded Same day and were really helpful.
Recommend to anyone needing a suitcase!

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY. He is a scammer. My suitcase was 2 weeks late for delivery, after completely rubbish communication and many ignored emails from me. Then when the case actually arrives, it’s the wrong one, much smaller than what I ordered and obviously a cheaper price for that reason. I have emailed him multiple times asking for a refund for the difference, without so much as a response. DO NOT ORDER FROM HIM, it’s drop shipping from China just a total scam.

An absolute joke of a company

An absolute joke of a company. I would strongly advise against purchasing.

The suitcase was delivered broken before it had even been used, meaning it was not fit for purpose from day one. Despite this, the company has done everything possible to avoid issuing a refund.

Instead, they hide behind their “lifetime warranty,” which they claim is only valid if you keep the original packaging for the entire lifetime of the suitcase. Who realistically keeps suitcase packaging for years? It’s an entirely unreasonable requirement and clearly designed to avoid honouring the warranty.

They eventually offered to send replacement packaging so the suitcase could be returned for repair (which they presented as though they were doing me a huge favour). However, it has now been three months and nothing has arrived. I have repeatedly been told it is “on its way,” with dates that simply pass with no follow-through.

So I’m now left with a suitcase that arrived broken, has never been used, and a company that refuses to refund or properly resolve the issue.

Completely unacceptable customer service.

Let’s bring this back to facts, because the current narrative does not reflect the reality of the situation.
• The item arrived broken. This was not caused by use, overpacking, or any form of force post-delivery.
• I first contacted you on 7th January — not “towards the end of January” as stated. We are now at the end of March, and there has been no resolution.
• I have sent multiple follow-up emails over the past couple of weeks, which have been ignored.
• Your previous emails explicitly confirmed that replacement packaging would be sent, with timelines provided — none of which have been met.
• Given the above, I struggle to understand how you can position this as “facilitating a resolution” when there has been zero tangible progress since 7th January, coupled with a clear breakdown in communication.

At this stage, the issue is no longer just about the product — it is about poor handling, delays, and lack of accountability.

I require immediate clarity on:
1. When the replacement packaging will actually be delivered (with a confirmed, reliable date).
2. The timeline for collection, repair, and return — end-to-end.

Thank you for your feedback. We are genuinely sorry to hear that you feel disappointed with your experience, and we would like to clarify the situation to ensure it is represented accurately.

The case in question was delivered to Christine in mid-December prior to Christmas and was initially well received, as we did not hear of any issues at the time. Towards the end of January, we were contacted to advise that the metal strap holder on the side of the case — which secures the internal divider — had come away after the case had been used.

These holders are bolted into the aluminium shell, and in most circumstances they only fail if significant pressure is applied from inside the case, which typically occurs when the case is overfilled and force is placed on the divider straps. For this reason, this type of issue would not normally fall under the scope of our Lifetime Guarantee, which covers the mechanical components of the case rather than damage arising from packing pressure or misuse.

Despite this, we wanted to ensure the matter was resolved positively and offered to repair the case as a courtesy, even though it sat outside the guarantee policy.

To safely return the case for repair, we do require it to be securely packaged, as aluminium cases can easily be further damaged in transit if not properly protected. Christine advised that the original packaging was no longer available, meaning we arranged — at our own cost — to source replacement packaging and send it out so that the case could be collected, repaired, and returned.

Our intention throughout has been to go above and beyond what is typically expected, covering the cost of packaging, collection and repair in order to provide a positive outcome.

We are genuinely sorry that the experience has still fallen short of expectations and we remain happy to complete the repair and resolve the matter properly once the packaging has been received.

Very poor communication and unresolved issues

Bought a suitcase and was emailed saying it was low in stock, so they offered to send a different collection, which I agreed to. After just one use, it dented and I had to return it. They have not acknowledged receipt or sent a replacement.

I then ordered a trunk case and received the same “low stock” email again. This time they sent a large suitcase instead of a trunk. I’ve emailed twice; after chasing, I received one reply questioning whether the correct item was sent. I provided photos and have since had no response.

Very poor communication and unresolved issues. This experience feels extremely unprofessional, possibly a scam. Be careful.

I was a little unsure about ordering…but VERY HAPPY

I was a little unsure about ordering from this company because of some of the other reviews, but I’m genuinely glad I gave them a chance. The suitcases I purchased exceeded my expectations. I also contacted the company before hand and expressed my concerns and I found them to be very responsive.

I waited to review until I was back from my first trip. With a product like this there is a little wear showing but that’s expected with aluminium cases. I had so many compliments and someone actually thought they were the expensive Rimowa ones. They wheel very well which was important to me.

In love with them and can’t wait to use them again. Thank you!

No goods delivered and very poor communication.

I placed an order with these guys and over 5 weeks later, nothing has arrived.i have asked on a number of occasions for updates with minimal response saying there has been a restock issue.

So no goods and poor communication.

Unfortunately, during transit the shipment was lost by the courier, which is something that can occasionally occur once parcels leave our fulfilment network. As soon as this was confirmed, we offered you a full refund for the order, as we were unable to complete the delivery successfully.

Definitely an eye catching and much more cost efficient price compared to its competitors. Setting themselves ahead of their game! Would love to see some leather straps on the cases. But nevertheless - very impressed with my case.

Jade Green - Madrid trip

Went to Madrid for a family wedding with my Alexander Hutton Jade Green suitcase, and I’m obsessed! I had so many compliments on the colour, the jade green looks even better in person. It’s bold, classy, and stands out in the best way.

It rolled so smoothly through the airport, super easy to handle, and somehow fits way more than it looks like it should. The inside is really well designed and kept everything neat and organised the whole trip.

After a few flights, it still looks brand new, no marks or scratches at all. You can tell it’s really good quality but still nice and lightweight.

Honestly, this suitcase made travelling feel a bit more fun. It’s stylish, practical, and definitely a head turner. 10/10 recommend if you want something that looks good and actually lasts!

I ordered the Harissa Collection in Jade Green and delivery took just under two weeks, which was slightly longer than I expected. The suitcase feels extremely solid in person, more substantial than anything I’ve owned previously. The finish is really impressive and you can tell it’s proper aluminium, not plastic made to look like it.

I’ve now travelled with it on two trips and it held up perfectly. No dents or scuffs at all. I had a couple of questions before ordering and Alexander Hutton’s support team replied almost instantly through email which gave me a lot of confidence.

The other reviews on here seem like a few people have had a bad experience. However, mine has been great.

Somewhat poor comms, but got there in the end

I made an order 11 days ago, and have sent two emails (five days ago) asking for updates on estimated delivery time, and also written to them on instagram messaging, and on their instagram posts. I've had no reply at all. Thankfully I paid with a credit card, so if I don't hear from them in a few days I will seek recourse through my credit card company, but I would avoid this company, and I wish I'd seen the reviews below before I ordered.
EDIT: after I posted on their instagram, they have deleted my comment, but also replied to say that they will look into it. Will keep this updated. Honestly if you read this before you order, just avoid. No one needs this hassle.
EDIT: three weeks after roder, the suitcases have arrived to my office. After I have left, but just outside of their 12 working day policy, so I've amended my review and will revise again once I see the products. Their comms could be improved (i.e. answer emails, update tracking on the website - mine shows nothing) but it's not a scam website.

Like the other reviewer I too responded to the advertisement on facebook
Payment via credit card was taken and I waited. After continuous chasing, ignored email requests and excuses the product arrived 8 weeks later.
The packaging was poor and covered in Chinese writing. No Alexander Hutton label or branding. The quality fell far short of the expectations created in their social media.

A request for a refund again followed by a delayed return label, delivery to a residential address in Wales.

Promised refund but despite copies of bank transfers nothing received.

A Visa dispute

Avoid at All Costs – Refuse Refunds and Ignore Customers

I’m leaving this review to warn others about my experience with Alexander Hutton. I placed an order for a suitcase, and I didn’t hear anything for over eight weeks. When I finally chased the order, I was told there had been an “issue” but was never contacted about it. They then claimed the item would be sent directly from their supplier, which already seemed suspicious for a company advertising itself as a “luxury” brand.
I asked to cancel and receive a refund, but they refused, saying it had already been ordered from the supplier. Another 30 days later, the suitcase eventually arrived far too late to be useful. I contacted them again to arrange a return or collection, as no returns address was provided, but my emails were completely ignored. When I reached out via Instagram, I was blocked immediately.
This company has taken money without providing fair service, refuses refunds, and blocks customers who try to resolve issues. Their reviews appear to be fake or AI-generated, and the products are clearly dropshipped from China, despite being marketed as high-end goods.
I have since reported Alexander Hutton to UK Trading Standards and will also be contacting local authorities. Please avoid this company they are not transparent, not professional, and, in my experience, operating dishonestly.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry that you felt disappointed with the experience and would like to clarify the timeline so readers have an accurate understanding of what occurred.

Your order was placed for a case from our Amara Collection, which has a published delivery timeframe of 12–25 working days from dispatch, as stated within our shipping policies at the time of purchase. Your case was dispatched and delivered within approximately five weeks from the original order date, which sat within that delivery window, although we fully acknowledge there was a delay during this period and we apologised for that inconvenience.

Once it became clear that the delivery timing would not align with your plans, you requested to cancel the order. Unfortunately, at that stage the case had already been dispatched and was in transit, which meant cancellation was not possible. Two weeks later the case was delivered and we offered a return and full refund at no cost to you, as we provide 30-day free returns with collection arranged from the customer’s address.

We did not receive a response to that offer within the return window. When you later contacted us again requesting to return the case, the standard return period had already passed. Despite this, and in the interest of providing good customer service, we still agreed to accept the return, even though the case may have already been used. Once the case was received back with us, the refund was issued promptly.

Regarding social media, the account restriction occurred after repeated commenting across multiple posts and advertisements while the matter was actively being handled through email support.

We understand that delays can be frustrating and we always aim to resolve situations fairly and professionally. We appreciate the opportunity to clarify the situation and remain committed to supporting our customers.
