We purchased a car from this dealership at the beginning of December and the experience since has been nothing but frustrating.

We made a 5 hour round trip to collect the car and there was absolutely no movement on price whatsoever. Unfortunately the problems started almost immediately. On the drive home the headlight bulb blew, meaning we had to stop at Halfords and pay over £90 to have it replaced, and it still isn’t 100% working properly.

About a week later the driver’s wing mirror glass literally blew out while I was driving, costing another £45 to replace.

I contacted the salesman and sent over photos and receipts for these issues and was told someone would get back to me. After hearing nothing I had to chase multiple times before finally receiving a call. The solution offered was either to make the 5 hour round trip back to them or pay for diagnostics myself and report back to them; which is pretty poor considering the problems started almost immediately after purchase.

To make matters worse, after some recent heavy rain we’ve now discovered the boot smells damp and musty. There is clearly a leak somewhere as mould has now started growing in the boot area.

For a car that had supposedly been checked over before sale, this is unacceptable. The after sales support has been extremely poor and the whole experience has left a very bad impression. I would not recommend based on our experience.

Alisons is close to where I live, but having lost my previous car in an accident, it was difficult for me to get there through the Gloucestershire countryside. But when Lia heard from me that I was expecting a long bus journey to get there, she organised for the car I had reserved at very short notice to be ready for me to drive home, all within about 24 hours. When I got there, all the staff I spoke to were polite and accommodating of my uneducated questions and made my first time buying a car by myself incredibly easy and pleasant. Lia in particular was so helpful and great to chat with, and gave me all the time I needed.

I purchased a car after seeing it advertised on eBay and travelled from Scotland by train to collect it. Before making the trip, I specifically asked about the condition of the vehicle as the description in the advert was not very detailed. I was told that “according to the age, it’s in very good condition.” Unfortunately, this turned out not to be an accurate reflection of the car when I arrived.

There was a noticeable dent in one of the doors, rust on another door corner, and bodywork damage running towards the rear wheel arch. None of these issues were clearly shown or disclosed in the advert photos. The interior headlining also had mould on it, which I had to scrub and clean myself once I got the car home.

If the vehicle had been represented accurately, I would have either negotiated the price before travelling or reconsidered making such a long journey. Based on the condition of the bodywork alone, I would have expected around £500 off the asking price.

There was also an attempt to add a £199 fee which was not mentioned anywhere in the advert, which came as a surprise when collecting the vehicle.

To be fair, Lia was pleasant and professional to deal with and kindly picked me up, which I appreciated. However, buyers rely heavily on adverts when travelling long distances, so it’s important that vehicles are represented clearly and honestly so people know exactly what condition they are coming to see.

Ellie is incredibly helpful whilst also being laid back. Let me and my husband take the car out on our own for a good long test drive, addressed concerns we had on vehicle history and also then hold on to the car longer than originally planned due to delays on selling our current vehicle. Great quick process when picking up vehicle. Highly recommend this company for buying cars

Very helpful and straightforward in all our dealings, honest and direct in sorting finance and willing to go the extra mile. I’d happily buy a car from them again.

Very impressed with the sevice at this dealership, in particular Lia, she was amazing, very professional and friendly without applying pressure which we appreciated. Lia kept in contact throughout and answered all of our questions. We are very happy with our car and have recommended to friends.

Recently purchased a second hand car and it was a first class experience. Staff extremely helpful and pleasant and Ellie was brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble and even picked us up from the local train station. Would highly recommend.

The process was quick and easy. Lia was very helpful and got all the paper work sorted with no stress. Would recommend 👌🏼

Sales staff, in our case Ellie, was polite, engaging and friendly. Answers to questions were promptly provided and advice was clear and concise. During handover, all paperwork was ready for signature, with Ellie assisting us throughout the entire process. Would look to use again should we need another car.

Really impressed with the service I received, from my first visit to driving away with my new car. The guys there are so lovely, Ellie especially. Great service and communication was great even responding to messages out of hours. I will definitely be back when it’s time for a new car again.

I'm going to break this into two parts, the sale and the aftercare.

Sale (3.5*)

The sale was pretty easy, they were firm on price but fair enough. Before the sale they had fitted a new sensor which delayed it by a week but they were upfront and honest about it. They did however brush aside my initial concerns about the condition of the car, which I wish I stuck to. An important thing to note is that if you're paying without finance you can't use a credit card, only BACS. You have far less protection for your money this way. I will also say that I feel the staff deserve an actual structure to do their business in rather than a Portakabin with a dodgy door.

Aftercare (1*)

This is where things quickly went south. As I was driving home a check engine light came on. The next day I rejected their offer to fix the car and drove it back to the garage. Alisons:

* Missed the statutory 14-day deadline to refund my money (£10k+).
* Attempted to charge me £1/mile for usage, which is unlawful under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (Short-term Right to Reject).
* Ignored emails and calls until I issued a formal 'Letter Before Claim' threatening court action.

They eventually paid the full amount, but only after I threatened legal proceedings. Do not let them bully you into paying 'admin fees' or 'mileage' if you reject a faulty car. Do your own research and know your rights.

Was dealing with Ellie through the whole purchase of my new vehicle and she was very happy and chatty. Communication was also very good very happy will definitely be reccomending this garage.

This company is trading under a new name to hide their unlawful behaviour! Do not buy from them!! They are Autotrade south west, do your research!!!!

They are con men! Taking money and selling unlawful vehicles.

You don’t scare me and your actions won’t stop me either! Just makes me more determined , You have fraudulently ripped so many people off but One day very soon, karma will serve you!

Had a very good service from the team they kept me informed of the situation of car until ready to pick up. They done everything what they said and the car was serviced mot,d and cleaned. Highly recommend to anyone else to buy from this company.

Avoid at all costs. I paid over £10,000 for a van that has broken down on four separate occasions. Although the company carried out repairs, the vehicle has never been right. On one occasion after their garage worked on it, it was clearly visible that components underneath the van were not even properly attached.

I gave them multiple fair opportunities to fix the issues or offer a suitable replacement vehicle that was fit for purpose, but they refused a refund and ignored my letters.

I also later discovered the van was sold to me as having around 30,000 miles when in reality it has approximately 80,000 miles, which is extremely concerning.

Overall, very poor service, repeated faults, and misleading information. I am now taking legal action.
