Impossible to deal with
9 months and an unfixed car. Be very careful of Allhoods. I will let the facts speak so that you know what you can expect from this disgraceful place -
- Dropped of my car here on 10 February 2022 with a sunroof leak and tilt problem. I briefed the main person 'Brian' about this and he said that he would fix it.
- One month goes on, no call received to update. I called to enquire and I was told that car has not been looked at.
- Two months goes on, no call received to update. I called to enquire and I was told that car has not been looked at.
- I gently and extremely reasonably kept calling for an update on the work ONCE EVERY MONTH until September. Not once had I received any call from the company for an update.
-When I used to call, Brian used to be very condecising, extremely rude and always used harsh language as to why I was asking him for an update. I believe I as a customer have every right to ask what is happening with my car.
- Never once was I given a helpful update or a timeframe.
- I was told when I called again in September that they had now looked at the roof and that it was destroyed, headlining ripped and sunroof handle broken. My car was in mint condition when I brought it in and all these damages were caused by Allhood. It is as though the work was carried out by an extremely untrained novice technician or a 6 year old let loose.
- I was told that they required these broken parts. I immediately sourced the required replacement parts myself at MY cost and supplied them to Allhoods the very NEXT day.
- October passed still no update.
- Due to no updates, no care and any lack of progress even after 9 months, I called in November and said that I would collect my car in AS IS condition.
- I picked my unfinished car up in pieces on 9 November 2022. At the garage, I was told by Brian that my type of people are very impatient. I am not making any accusations and dont like to describe what I was called but this kind of language is a criminal offence. 9 Months is not a short period of time in ANY sense.
- I took my car to an alternative garage on 9 November 2022 for this sunroof repair and car was carefully fixed and ready to pick up on 15 November 2022. That is less than 3 working days on the car from start to finish. Allhoods could not be bothered to do this in 9 months.
----Conclusions----
1. Car interior drenched since they did not cover the sunroof in their posession. No care to customers vehicles.
2. Bodywork scrarched in many places in their possesion. Headling ripped and sunroof handle broken. I can only put this down to incapable and/or untrained technicians who lack technical ability and care.
3. 9 full months without my car and summer wasted.
4. Extremely rude, unhelpful and bad behaviour by Brian over the phone. Disrespectful.
5. No proactive updates ever, no phonecall received in 9 months. No completion timeframe given. No customer service.
6. Derogatory casual language used by Brian regarding 'my sort of people'.This is 2022 in London. Very surprising and borderline criminal.
7. Garage incapable to carry out work from start to finish or at any fronts. Unprofessional.
8. I had once been told that if I ever ask for an update, the bill will end up huge. Dirty tactics.
9. After speaking to a few people recently, I have come to the realisation that Allhoods has messed up other people in a similar manner to myself.
Do your health and your prized possession a favour and take your car elsewhere. DO NOT waste your time and get spoken to with derogatory unprofessional language here.
You may very well end up in a perpetual loop like myself at this place. You have been warned.
