Do not start the process
The initial payment was $396 (which was made without any tax information), and several subsequent payments were made to continue. In reality, everything is free on the official government website. Mr. Henderson starts, and then others come on the phone with promises. It's been going on for a year now, and we've lost $8,800 and see no results or improvements. Shameful.
Absolutely do not pay.
Absolute scam!!!
Absolute scam!!!! AVOID
Having entered my detail on what was American GC website to see if I qualified for the lottery (as I was certain the UK were not allowed to enter) I was called by a lady with an Australian accent who said Congratulations you are eligible and I will pass you onto one of my colleagues Jonathan Miller (it wasn't until I saw someone else on here who had dealings with this cretin that thought it was ever a scam), I was then on the phone for an hour going through my details. I was told at the end of the conversation there would be a "One Time Fee!" which I would receive back in full after the Consular interview of $1000 as applicants that qualify are given the fee back towards the air fare to collect the Green Card in the US. This seemed acceptable so I thought I'd use my credit card as a back up if this was a scam. This was December, then every month since Jonathan Miller has called with his favourite tag line "This is a one time only fee" to continue the process extracting more and more from my card. May came and the results for the Lottery showed we had not been selected this time, however Mr Miller the one time only specialist insisted we had been selected and thank you for bringing up this website statement as this means the dates have not been released yet for your interview but rest assured you have been selected for the visa due to your details and the UK being favourable for entry, again I was dubious of this but he said the dates would be June 10th, so I played along with him again, and to date it still says not been selected and these cretins are still trying to call and email to extract more money from me. AVOID AT ALL COSTS I wouldn't piss in their mouths if their teeth were on fire
BE AWARE THIS IS FRAUD!!!
This company will tell you exactly what you want to hear. HOWEVER DO NOT be fooled!! They are always calling to ask for the 'next payment' so that your application can proceed. I am $11 400 down and I have finally had enough. There is always 'just one more payment'. I even had it in black and white on an email that I was done paying and they still phone asking for more money. PLEASE don't fall for this as it is fraud!!!
BE AWARE!!
BE AWARE!!! THIS IS A FRAUD!!! THEY TOOK ME 10,000 $
BE AWARE, FIRST OF ALL they are the same of GC PROGRAM, they keep changing their "company name" and website, but it s always the same entity.
They might have done some work like entering my data to the dvprogram website, but it did not work at all, i had them on the phone so many times asking for money "to finalize my procedure and bla bla bla" and they were assuring me all time that i was elegible and i would have been in the first 55k selectees.... they asked me the last payment of 1,500$, for a great total of 10,000$, AND GUESS WHAT: WE HAVEN'T BEEN SELECTED!!! the process is not clear at all, u never know how many steps there are! RECORD ALL THE PHONE CALLS , KEEP EVERYTHING VIA EMAIL, SO YOU CAN HAVE EVIDENCES, Mr Kenny, Mr Paul & all of them, they were assuring me all the time at the phone that the payment was to finalize the case to guarantee to be in the first 55k selectees, all the time, thank gosh i have all recorded, and i also have all the emails where after each payment they were saying that there were no more step to be payed, i can attach everything here! for my luck i have all properly saved.
i 'm really upset because they kinda act loyal to you, but in the end they want to take your money for a service that cannot guarantee you to be selected, AGAIN, I PAID 10,000$... don't get fooled by their words, when they say "then you will have your green card and you will choose to move or start looking for a job bla bla..." they speak to you as if you already have the green card in your hands... AND WE HAVEN'T BEEN SELECTED!!! i was asking for some kind of refund but of course now they don't mind at all! To all the other people that were frauded like me, pls report their website and email address to the authorities.
Decent service
Decent service, but communication could be improved.
RED Alert / Big Warning of Fraud
Use (dvprogram.state.gov) only !!!
Don't trust this company. They will make you poor in short time and you are not participant of the regular lottery. First call they ask your personally, job, salary and saved money, if you have house. You get fake account number where you can see your status by a fake software. You get 3 eBooks about process and a list which papers necessary. Copy passport, school certificate, CV, photo, motivation letter, police report a.s.o. First invoice 389$ by credit card. Mr. John Henderson and Kenny Richards the Immigration scam specialists called me often for next invoice 2750.-$ than 4500.-$ than 7500.-$ than 7500.-$ for preparation interview by US consulate in my country what never take place, at least 4000.-$ for assistance. 5. May they called me for discuss fake result. I didn't talk more to them. I recommend all people don't give them any information, don't send them any copy and never give them the number of your credit card or send them money. I lost a complete salary of a year for nothing. Don't trust Mr. John Henderson, Kenny Richards, Charles Robinson or Amelia Duncan from legal department. Please inform yourself only by the original website from government.
Americangc is a scam
Do not use a 3rd party. Your chance is exactly the same whether you use a 3rd party (which will cost you thousands of dollars) or you do it yourself, which is free. I went with Americangc thinking they will most definitely make my changes better and it cost me dearly. It start of small with $250 or $300. THEN comes the big money and the psychological warfare. They tell you that your chance is great but the sooner they submit the best it will be but it will cost $4500 and you pay it. You receive you confirmation number from the US department of State. One would think it is done now and you wait. Oh no it doesn't stop there. They phone again and say that there are now more requirements needed to best help you but you have to pay $5000 immediately before they can continue. That happened twice. Already down $14800 and whoops again $2500. Now add everything up vs you apply for free. And at the end you did not get selected!
Please take it from me. This is a scam. It is easy money for them. Take from an idiot who went the full way with Americangc. When pay your 2nd large amount you then feel that you are so far now you must just pull through. They will tell you it is the final payment and the weeks later they phone again requesting more payments for services they need to do on you application, which by the way, was already submitted. When you tell them the final payment was done they then tell you that it is now for the next stage in you process.
Use this lesson I had to learn or don't. I just felt that I had to put my experience with them out there for people to know.
Achtung Betrug!!
Well where do we begin
Well where do we begin? We had such high hopes and expectations to live the American dream. Wish we had done our homework and realised this is a SCAM. We’ve been stupid enough to pay every time when JOHN HENDERSON lead us to believe that each payment was going to worth our while. We uploaded personal information and lost large amounts of money due to the scum that prey on the innocent people.
WATCH OUT SCAM
It was awful i had found it on a separate website it said it was free to see if you could apply then they call me and i thought i really had a chance at getting the green card and then they asked me to pay $389 so i did thinking it was going towards getting into the lottery looking it up i saw it said it was free to enter but searching into it it says it was consultants to help you through it and since i had paid i thought maybe it'll still be OK this was on the 20th of March. I got a call today from Michael talking more about it and then he mentioned being charged $1500 and I tried asking if the money i paid before would go towards that and he dodged my question talking to my friends and family they looked into it more for me and then we realized it was a scam i was heartbroken to hear that. PLEASE DON`T TRUST THIS WEBSITE OR ANY OTHER WEBSITE THAT ISN'T GOVERNMENT RUN DIRECTLY!!!!!!!!
My experience with americangc was not…
My experience with americangc was not great. While their products seemed decent, the customer service was frustratingly slow, and I didn't get the help I needed in a timely manner. After multiple attempts to contact them, I ended up having to look for another immigration company to handle my needs. The lack of support and slow response time were the main reasons I couldn’t continue with them.
Finger weg!
Very well organised SCAM
Like everyone else here, I tested my eligibility on the USAGO website. Then I was contacted by a "junior consultant," a woman who convinced me to pay 389 US dollars for my DV Lottery registration.
Several months later, in November 2024, I received a call from someone named Jonathan Miller. He told me that the system had changed — there was no longer a lottery, but rather a profile-based selection. According to him, the U.S. Department had selected my profile for an interview in 2025 at the U.S. Embassy.
He was very persuasive and managed to get a lot of money from me. I asked him every question I could think of to test his honesty — and he always had an answer.
This "Jonathan Miller" claimed to work for American Green Card Services, the parent company of USAGO.
They had a website where they created a customer account for me, and I could see all my invoices there. They also replied very quickly to all my emails and phone calls, which made it seem more legitimate.
But in February, I realized I was being scammed and stopped all communication with them. The website has since changed, and I no longer have access to my account — the final proof of this fraudulent operation.
I have reported everything to the FBI. I hope they are caught, and I honestly wish they rot in hell.
UPDATE on 3rd of May, results published: "Based on the information provided, the Entry HAS NOT BEEN SELECTED for further processing for the Electronic Diversity Visa program at this time."
So, they are SCAM, this is the ultimate proof. I went through the whole process, paid them, they ASSURED me my profile was selected, times and times again.
End of the story.
UPDATE 29/05/2025
I asked for a refund. Of course, they replied that it was impossible — "services were rendered," they said. But no service was rendered, apart from the registration in October 2024.
But wait — it doesn’t stop there. They harass you in every possible way! Now they’re calling from UK phone numbers. I had to block all the numbers and email addresses I was aware of just to stop the communication. They honestly deserve to be in jail!
And listen to this: my application was rejected — and yet they claim it’s not true!
"We’re still working on your application and will inform you about the interview," they say. This is insane!
And be aware — they’ve changed their website again!
It’s like they’re constantly trying to cover their tracks. This whole operation feels incredibly shady.
Scam!!
Oh gosh my story is very similar to the reviews here!
I am seeking information about green cards and how to start the process. And I sent an enquiry off a website and then got a call from Nicole, in Florida. She was pushy and played on my desire to go to USA to work and live. She said I had very good terms and that I needed to pay $367 USD for my application to enter the lottery. I have my card details but my card kept blocking the transactions. So I hung up and rung my bank, which have now cancelled the card.
Nicole made it very difficult for me to exit out of the "programme" and said I will ruin my chances in the future.
definitely a pure scam !!
definitely a pure scam !!! be careful
i am filing out a complaint to the Internet Crime Complaint Center
Ist mir auch passiert
Ist mir auch passiert. Habe viele Geld (>€3k) bereits verloren. Hat bereits jemand erfolgreich Geld zurück bekommen? Sofern ja, mit welchen Schritten?
Betrug: American Green Card Service tut so
