I am incredibly disappointed with the drastic drop in quality. For a premium, expensive brand, it is completely unacceptable that a can now contains barely a quarter of actual fish. The rest of the can is just filled with liquid/broth. I am paying for fish, not expensive water. Long-time loyal customers are being completely ripped off by this recipe change. I will not be buying Applaws again until they actually fill the cans with meat instead of cutting corners to save money. Unbelievable.

Have my cats on Applaws nuts, it's actually one of the best quality pets foods on the entire market. Used to use those other well known brands which are extortionate in price and found out they are actually one of the worst foods I could give my cats or any pets for that matter. I was given a list of all the pet food brands sold in Ireland from the cat breeder and Applaws was one of the best quality of them all. After moving to Applaws my cats coats are absolutely super soft, the difference is phenomenal. Wouldn't ever swap to another brand.

My cat gained his appetite back by changing his Food to Applaws. He was underweight cuz he didn’t like any food. And now he goes crazy about applaws wet food and gained over a kg in 3 months. Great food, does not smell like cat food. We love it!

I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. Both of my cats are extremely picky eaters. I purchased Applaws variety pack, and they absolutely loved it! They liked that the mousse is easy for them to eat with its smooth, soft texture. I love the great quality ingredients, and love that feeding was easier.

I bought two bags of dry food. The first bag was fine, but the second bag, which had smaller kibble pieces, had a foul odour. After eating it, my cat started vomiting frequently. I am not sure if the product formulation has changed, but I will not be purchasing it again.

For better or worse, we started giving our cat Applaws wet food (in broth) when he was a kitten, and he really refuses to eat anything else. I think he likes the fact that it is not dry, as we find often he licks the broth first, then comes back a while later and eats the rest of the food. We do have to mix it up, though, among 6 or so varieties. We cat-sit for some other cats in our our building who eat the same thing at every meal, but our cat just won't do that.

The only ones he really does not like are the ocean fish and mackerel varieties, which I think are too strong for his taste

My cats love this food, but tje tins ate so difficult to open I have given up on it. They will have to have something else!

The food, (particularly in the tins) is 'off' as you open it, the cats won't touch it now. It used to be a good brand. At first I thought maybe I just got a bad batch (although very expensive to buy a bad batch!!!) but it is consistently 'off'. Avoid it at all costs now! I agree with the review below that this pet food now needs to be investigated properly.

All 3 cats (including 1 feral I’m looking after) now completely reject Applaws food. They used to like it but there’s been a significant change in the quality. Can barely smell the fish ones and in general all broth variety are very dry. Complete waste of money and one of my cat has been throwing up on the fish variety. Applaws food needs to be investigated.

Stay away from this cat food, with such good ingredients after 2 years your cat will shortly be having his or her back teeth out , so expensive this is … yet my other 2 cats are ok … strange as that is.

Sadly, my 8-year-old cat, who has been happily eating this brand for a long time, suddenly refused to even lick the latest tinned food. Even her absolute favourite flavour — tuna — went completely untouched. No amount of persuasion helped with any of the flavours from the recent multipack.

This is extremely unusual for my cat, and it clearly suggests that something in the recipe has changed. I contacted the company and was told that the recipes can “slightly” vary due to seasonal ingredient changes, but it’s very strange that my cat won’t eat any of the tins from this batch.

Now I’m left with a large number of unusable tins and have completely lost confidence in the brand. A real waste of money.

I have 2 cats who are sisters and can be so alike in some ways and opposite in other ways. One cat will eat absolutely anything and she's twice as heavy as her sister who is the fussiest cat ever. For 3 years we've struggled to find a food that our smaller cat will enjoy eating and have healthy bowels. She gets diarrhoea very easily and will only have the gravy no matter what brand of food we try her That was until we tried both our cats on Applaws... it is the ONLY food that she has truly enjoyed eating, she has eaten the full sachet and licked every single flake of tuna from the bowl. We're 5 days into the new food and she looks forward to each meal now, she will sit waiting to be fed as I'm putting the food in the bowl and she will not stop eating until the bowl is empty. Best of all she's got healthy bowels and is playing more because she's clearly feeling better in herself.

I bought my cat her favourite tuna with seaweed, only to find it had been mislabelled and only contained tuna.
I contacted company and they took ages to replied, and since then have done absolutely nothing. I sent photo and video evidence, with the labels and batch number. Nothing.
I informed them that having a different recipe than that which it states on the tin is also dangerous, for allergy reasons. Plus the fact that this was not what I paid for.
I've just emailed again, though I doubt I'll get a response. Time to find my car a new favourite,as this company clearly don't care about their customers or animals.

I emailed the company to ask if anything has changed and was advised that the recipes can change slightly, due to seasonal variation of ingredients, but it’s very odd that my cat won’t touch any flavour of the tins from the variety multipack. Make of that what you will. I now have a great number of tins of unusable food and have lost confidence in the brand.

Really great product, my cats love chicken flavour. I wish they have more chicken products in the range. I would recommend for anyone looking for quality product at a really good price.

My cat loves this food. It's natural and no fillers and she is so fussy so I am glad to find something she always finishes. They have so many flavour options and she is always satisfied!

All of a sudden my cat started vomiting every day. I knew immediately that the owners have changed just like all other great cat foods. What do you know I was right. The owner has changed. Now it’s partners group. Now I have to go shopping for another cat food brand

My cat LOVES this stuff! it's literally maximum of 4 ingredients per tin, you can't get any cleaner than that.

Whatever they put in the pumpkin flavoured ones make my cat VIOLENTLY ILL. constipation, runs and vomitting!!!!!! Applaws IS the culprit
