En 2025, en août. On a fait la traversée de al hoceima au Maroc à Motril en Espagne . Toutes les toilettes étaient bouchées et ce depuis le départ. On s'est plaint auprès des employés du bateau. Rien n'a été fait. Ce sera la dernière fois que je voyage avec cette compagnie. On nous prend pour des moutons ou des vaches.
Je ne recommanderai jamais cette compagnie.
J'appelle tous les voyageurs à boycotter ce type de société..

Avoid this company
Over 4 hour delay leaving and a very difficult disembarking process.
We had a 8.5m motorhome and had to do a difficult turn to leave.
Cramped conditions

Awful food experience and little else to do.
I travelled from Cadiz to Tenerife on the 2nd Sept. 2025. This was not the first time but it was on the ciudad de valencia. Firstly, I paid for a doble preferente cabin and got a regular exterior, 4 berth cabin. The dining experience is awful. The first day I queued for 36 minutes to receive mass produced fayre served up as you pass along the counter. By the time you get to the end to produce your voucher and then get to your table the food is at best, lukewarm. Every meal time was the same with very little variety and mainly the same every day. Breakfast was worse. It seems the trick is to get to the "restuarant" before it opens and hover around the start of the self service. Otherwise, wait until near the end of service when the queue has gone.

I took the Armas ferry from Al Hoceima (MA) to Motril (ES) and it was one of the worst travel experiences I’ve ever had. The ferry left more than two hours late, with no proper communication. Inside, there was no functioning air conditioning, leaving passengers in unbearable heat and humidity, people were literally fainting. No refreshments or water were offered, and many passengers were forced to sleep on the floors due to overcrowding. Safety was also questionable, with an obvious lack of first aid responders on board. To top it all off, the tickets are outrageously expensive for a miserable six-hour journey. Absolutely unacceptable and I would never recommend this company.

Bei der Rückfahrt sollten wir um 12:30 in Algeciras ankommen und stehen aktuell um 7 immer noch in der Schlange vor der Fähre

Que ce soit pour l'aller et le retour, des retards de plusieurs heures.
Ils nous disent au guichet qu'on peut se faire rembourser afin de pouvoir prendre un autre ferry et ne pas perdre trop de temps, mais cela s'avère impossible (que ce soit en ligne ou au guichet, les 2 se renvoyants la balle).
Au moment de l'attente, aucune info sur quand le ferry arrive, un plaisir d'attendre des heures dans un port la nuit.

We booked a ferry from Tenerife to Gran Canaria. We arrived the morning of the trip on time via taxi, only to find out that the ferry had been canceled days before. They claimed they had tried to call us (we do not have EU phones) and were not able to make contact. They did not try to email us despite us making our reservations via email and having our email addresses. They knew they had not made contact with us and even said “oh we’ve been trying to reach you!” My question is, if you knew we were traveling internationally and you couldn’t contact us, why would you not try emailing us? When we asked them, they said emailing is not their policy, they just call you. We then had to wait four hours for the next ferry and had to carry our suitcases back to the city to wait. In 2025 it seems they have outdated practices. They would not reimburse or provide any compensation to remedy their mistake which ended up affecting our plans. Does not seem like a modern solution or in any way understanding of the inconvenience they caused.

Hace un año desapareció en un barco un chico a bordo y una testigo afirmó que lo desvivieron entre dos empleados y lo hicieron desaparecer. Ese día se desconectaron las cámaras. Pido a las autoridades y policía investigar la empresa y localizar a MAROUAN ELMOKADIM. No ir con ellos si no queréis correr peligro!

I am writing this review with deep concern regarding the tragic and unresolved disappearance of Marouan El Mokadem, who boarded an ARMAS ferry from Beni Ensar (Morocco) to Motril (Spain) on April 20, 2024. He was never seen again.
There is official proof from the Moroccan government that Marouan boarded the ferry, including video footage he recorded himself, which he sent to his brother just hours before his disappearance. Despite these clear indications, Naviera ARMAS has not provided any explanation, and more importantly, the company refused to review or share onboard camera footage from that trip.
This behavior is unacceptable and deeply disturbing. A person boarded their vessel and never arrived at the destination. Yet, the company shows no willingness to cooperate or clarify what happened. Families and the public deserve answers, transparency, and accountability.
I hope this review raises awareness and pressure for real action. This is not just a customer service issue – it is a matter of human life and justice.

Wir sind mit 2 Hunden am 09.-12.05.2025…
Wir sind mit 2 Hunden am 09.-12.05.2025 von La Palma nach Cadiz in einer 4 Bett-Hundekabine gereist. Im Gegensatz zur desolaten Hinreise mit dem Subunternehmen von Fred Olsen von Huelva nach La Palma waren hier Schiff, Personal und Essen ok. Besonders das durchweg freundliche und hilfsbereite Personal auf allen Decks, Restaurants, etc. waren eine große Überraschung. Die Reise dauert halt gefühlte 3 Tage aber die Versorgung war gut.
Leider gab es Weine nur in 0,2l Fläschchen was man im Angebot ändern sollte. Und auch wenn die Fähre gut im Betrieb ist, sollten Gänge und Teppiche gereinigt sein. Die Kabinen waren soweit ok aber deren Umgebung zu schmutzig. Dafür gibt es einen Punkt Abzug.
Ansonsten würden wir hier nochmals buchen...
