Caution, this site is pure fraud. Thanks to the high Google ranking and the name it shall look like an official site on a quick view. It charges enormous additional cost for absolutely nothing.

There is no way to put 0 star but that's what they should get..
The price of the tickets for 2 adults and 2 children should have been 60 euros and they made us pay 136 euros.

We visited Acropolis in Athens in Feb 2025 and decided to purchase our tickets online. Among the many sites available, the athenstickets.org seemed fine and trustworthy, but turns out they are NOT. The official site for Acropolis tickets seems to actually be hhticket.gr and we warmly suggest using the official site. athenstickets.org charged us 70 eur for tickets that actually cost only 20 (seems as if at least in the winter EU Adults cost 10eur each and <25 year olds are free). These prices are also seen on the tickets we received for athenstickets.org, which means that they charged our credit card 70 euros and then sent us tickets and receipts for only 20 eur. Their customer service is fast enough and they claimed that they have a service fee in order to provide the possible support and convenience :), but that doesn't really justify charging 50 eur extra and in addition also sending receipts that do not include this so called service fee. We ended up reporting the site to the Greek tax authorities for suspected tax-fraud, since we fear that they may not report our payment in full in their bookkeeping. It also feels untrustworthy to buy something and then get a receipt for a much lesser sum.

We suggest you stay well clear of this site and purchase your tickets from the official hhticket.gr instead, since there you will be charged only the actual price for your tickets.

Remember also to bring you ID/Passport also for any kids that you travel with as you need to prove your identity on entry to Acropolis.

As for the site itself we warmly recommend it as does probably everyone who has ever been there!
