Vorab: Ich berichte hier von meinen Erfahrungen mit Audiototext, nicht zu verwechseln mit Audiototexts (bei letzteren war die Erfahrung noch schlechter). Audiototext wirbt mit einem kostenlosen Transkriptions-Service. Als Kostenlos wird aber nur das Transkribieren selbst angesehen, denn wann man das Ergebnis herunterladen möchte, muss man zahlen ($9,99/Monat). Das ist intransparent. Immerhin: Ich habe per Mail zweimal Antworten bekommen auf Fragen (die letzte Mail mit Hinweis auf die mangelnde Transparenz blieb dann doch unbeantwortet).

It's a scam.

Advertised as free. Charges a small fee upfront then once you've paid that it starts charging you big monthly fees. Stay clear.

I recently created an account and upgraded it to a paid plan because I need to transcribe a large number of audio files.

The transcription service worked successfully for a number of files, but after approximately 39 transcriptions, I started receiving the following message:

“Usage Limit for Today — You've used all your transcriptions for today. Come back tomorrow to continue transcribing!”

I upgraded specifically because I understood that the paid plan would allow me to continue transcribing without the free daily restriction.

Could you please check my account and confirm:

Whether my paid subscription has been activated correctly.
Whether there is still a daily transcription limit on my current paid plan.
If this message is being displayed because of an account activation or billing synchronization issue.
What the actual transcription limits are for my current subscription.
I currently have around 150 audio, approximately 45min minutes each, that I need to transcribe, so knowing the exact limits is important for me.

I can also provide screenshots of the “Usage Limit for Today” message and my payment/subscription information if needed.

Please let me know how this can be resolved.

Pathetic and dishonest. Avoid this unscrupulous provider. They should disclose upfront, before even asking you to log in, what they will charge...

Accedí a la web en modo gratuito para hacer una transcripción por la cual pagué 0,50€. Fue una transcripción excelente a un precio muy competitivo, no tengo queja. El problema viene después y de ahí, la razón de mi valoración de una estrella. Me han dado de alta en una subscripción de 39,90€ al mes que yo, en ningún momento solicité ni se me pidió autorización para ello. ¡Es mala praxis en toda regla, un robo a mano armada!
Lástima que no sean claros porque el servicio es bueno pero pierden toda credibilidad y profesionalidad.

Fraud. You buy one transcript for €0,50 and then charge you €39.99.

Fraud!!!

They charge 0.50 for a one time transcription "to get your transcription" after you've tried their service, and a couple of days later the illegally charge your card 39.99 without a notice, and call it a subscription!

Luckily I have Revolut who seems to know about the company's methods and have them on a blacklist, so my card wasn't charged, instead they alarmed and asked me first, and I rejected it.

Pathetic service. Never responded to emails before I signed up. Cannot do batch uploads - have to send files one at a time. Cannot do batch downloads of transcripts, and EVERY ONE needs the same preferences to be entered EVERY TIME.
The transcripts are accurate, but the service and features are crap.
