DO NOT RENT ABOVE THE FALLS UNLESS YOU HAVE AN ALL WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLE!
Although we loved the cabin, location and privacy, the driveway is horrible!!! Half a dozen deep potholes added to a very steep driveway with loose gravel, caused our suv tires to spin in the ruts made by all the prior vehicles. One night it was raining and we could not get up the driveway after several attempts. We ended up going back into town to wait out the storm. Even then, on the wet driveway we barely made it over the top. When we contacted Aunt Bugs, Holly and Heather were very kind and tried to help, but they were at the mercy of the cabin owners. Even if they sent their maintenance person to look at the driveway, we’re sure there would be nothing he could do to correct the problem, as it would take big equipment and new blacktop or concrete to remedy the issue. We never heard back from Aunt Bugs after that first contact.
We have been renting cabins (for 2-12) people for the past 13 years. We have never been afraid to use a driveway for fear it would damage our tires or car until this one.
If you have all wheel drive, by all means rent this cabin.

We were headed to Aunt Bugs Cabins during the Christmas Holidays at Bear Splash 409 with 12 people for a nice relaxing holiday. We headed out in three vehicles from Miami, Florida. As we were on the road we called and called and no one answered the office. We were one day out to our destination and we got an email that there was a snow storm and we couldn’t get into our cabin. Mother Nature cause a change in plans for all of us and we ended up having to stay in hotels nearby our destination until they could figure out what to do with all of us for seven days. We had paid in advance for a cabin we never used and had extra charges due to hotel and food. Needless to say we got no help from the people working in Aunt Bugs office. So we canceled our trip with our credit card to reimburse our money. We stayed in Gatlinburg TN. And made the best of the situation. When we got home we continue to discuss our trip and cabin which we never stayed in and our credit card reimbursed most of the money. However Aunt Bugs Cabins kept the deposit and would not give it back. We did not stay in the cabin, we had extra expenses with hotel and food, and finally we suffered a lot of anxiety. So no way will I ever book with this group again nor do I recommend them. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. Shame on you.

Since Covid has put a damper to all travel plans, we decided to take a road trip and have a "Covid Conscious" vacation. We found Aunt Bug's Cabin Rentals and booked Love and Laughs #11 which seemed like the perfect "home away from home" getaway spot. Unfortunately, our excitement was quickly crushed when we arrived and realized how dirty and neglected the cabin was.

For starters, here's a list of everything that should have been addressed before our check in:
- The entire place smelled like cigarettes despite the fact that there is 2 big 'no smoking' signs
- The kitchen counters were dirty and had grease/dust on them
- Plates had food stains on them
- Floors were dirty
- Bathroom tubs were dirty
- Bedroom comforter was ripped in one of the rooms
- Empty cans/bottles surround the entire deck area

It seemed like the last group had just left and there was no cleaning done in between. Aside from that, the cabin is essentially falling apart and has 'amenities' just for the sake of them being there.

- The basement has a game room that includes a foosball table, air hockey table, and pool table. Sadly, all three were broken and in bad condition.
- Fireplace wasn't working/broken
- TVs weren't working

We ended up reaching out to their maintenance number to get someone to come in and look at the fireplace, but no one came out. Granted, it was late Saturday afternoon (4 pm) and most people had taken off, but at the end of the day, they should realize that most travelers come in for the weekend so there should be someone to help out if something is broken.
Overall, the cabin is poorly maintained and does not come close to meeting any Covid standards or any well-being standards. If you're planning a staycation, I'd look somewhere else.

The staff is very rude..when we got to the cabin first thing I noticed the sheets wasn't changed and the comforter was just disgusting!!! Called and was told to come to the office and get clean sheets and a new comforter ..as much money your paying someone should have brought it to us....My advice the cleaning staff is awful and the company doesnt care

Plz, if u are thinking about visiting Tn; do not visit Aunt Bugs. These ppl are the most rudest, nastiest, business ppl, that i ever come in contact with. You dt find out how lowdown, they are, until, they get your money. Once they get your money; they totally refuse to refund; regardless, to what the emergency is. That right there, show just, how hard up they are. Plz, listen to me; these are not lies; do not waste your time. i wish that i had read these reviews, before, we put our money down. Now we are having to get an attorney; to try, and get our money back. Rather than refund; they extend the time that we can come. We are telling them that we don't want to come; we want No dealings with them. What part, of it, that they do not understand??

It was the worst experience I ever had. Inside the cabin was not acceptable , sheets were dirty, spider webs everywhere and poor housekeeping. we walked on the porch full of garbage and it was not ready for us to check in. My child was bitten by a copperhead snake on the porch and when we call the office they said that it was not their problem. I called the office twice and talked to Patricia who was very unprofessional, rude and hung up on me both times. I wouldn't even give 1 star. This was my first and last cabin rental at Aunt Bug and I would not recommend to anyone. P.S. thanks God my daughter is doing fine after a $150,000 hospital bill.

Don't go here. Criminals, criminals, criminals. Charged me when I was never there. Doesn't check IDs of guests and no help from office.

Garbage company...cabins are dirty and poorly supplied, guest service is terrible!!!
