I first used Austins & Co to write my will, and was so impressed by Sarah’s professionalism that I didn’t think twice about asking her to handle the conveyancing when I bought my first home last October.

As a first-time buyer, I had absolutely no idea about the process, but Sarah was patient, clear, and reassuring from start to finish. From offer to completion took just two months, amazing! There were a few minor hiccups (including a surveyor who ghosted me after a long call – clearly a sun lounger was calling), but Sarah kept everything firmly on track. Assertive when needed, and always calm and efficient, she made the whole thing feel far less daunting.

I couldn’t have done it without her, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Austins & Co to anyone – especially if you’re buying your first home.

Hiring Austins as our solicitor when buying a new property nearly caused us to lose the house.

They were responsive at first engagement, and until we made the downpayment.

After that, we could not get hold of them, and our Mortgage Brokers could not find her or her practice in the Lenders’ panel.

Austins was unresponsive, never available, and rude on the phone and on email with both us, our mortgage brokers, and our realtor.

They refused to send us a detailed bill of her services when we seized service and ghosted us during the most important phase of the buying process.

That, toppled with constant typos and mistakes on email, and a shaddy office practice seemingly unrecognised by one of the UK major lenders, made the firm an absolute nightmare to work with.

In the end, we were forced to change solicitors and never saw our money back.

I feel very fortunate that I come across Sarah a few months ago. Prior to connecting with Sarah, I had been unsuccessful in trying to find a solicitor in my local area and I was getting very frustrated as despite calling so many…my calls were either never returned or were returned many days later (which didn’t inspire any confidence with me in them). I also fully realized the fact that we were in the midst of a pandemic and consequently a “lockdown”, but it was as if all these companies had decided to stop operating completely or partially, whatever the case, it was so unprofessional (especially for those in the legal business arena). However, that being said, thankfully this was not the case where Sarah was concerned!
Sarah was “on it” and never dropped the ball once!

Initially, I had instructed her to deal with the transfer of a property (I had inherited) into my name. Following that, I came across a property I wished to purchase in late May 2021. I asked Sarah if she could try to complete everything as quickly as possible as I wanted to take advantage of the Governments stamp duty discount which was expiring at the end of June 2021, not only did Sarah accomplish this, we were also able to exchange a few days earlier than anticipated. This was very impressive as I was not the only client she had trying to complete property purchases by the same date! Again, demonstrates how proficient, professional & hard working she is for her clients.

One final observation I would like to share is that during the entire course of each transaction Sarah handled on my behalf, her communication skills were excellent. I was always “kept in the loop” by her as she would regularly send me updates on progress which meant that I never once had to chase her as I knew where we were at all times and if I ever did have to contact her with a question or query she always responded promptly! Again, reinforcing what a professional company she runs.

It is rare these days to come across someone with such high standards and excellent work ethics such as she possesses. Her professionalism, efficiency, promptness, excellent communication skills and thoroughness are impeccable and a “breath of fresh air” in these unsettling times!

During Covid I thought it would be an idea to write my will, as I'd been putting it off due to the flaff and process I imagined it would take. And, heavens, it's something we don't really want to think about. Anyway, having said all that, I found Austins Solicitors Chiswick to be so helpful, and made it easy for me. I feel so much better now I've done it.

We used Austin's Solicitors when buying our first house and we couldn't have made a better choice. Sarah was helpful, efficient and provided us with all the information we needed and more.
