I liked how the book showed the less obvious side of FND. The memory and concentration issues were interesting to read about because they aren't things I usually associate with a neurological condition. It gave me a lot to think about.

This book is so informative from beginning to end. Author Jim Cosper has used his wisdom to help more than any Dr. has ever. I relate so much to this book on FND. I feel my courage increasing. Finally understand this part of me both physically and emotionally . The first person who has ever done this . Good Luck Jim and be Proud.

I thought the part about self-advocacy was most interesting because I cannot imagine going through that, and it sounds like a pain to have to keep repeating symptoms and asking the same questions over. Jim's book gave me more insight as to why it's really necessary to stick with and talk to the doctor whenever you don't feel the most correct.

What struck me was the emotional side of losing independence. Jim describes changes that affected simple parts of his daily life, and you can sense how frustrating that must have been. I appreciated that he also talks about finding ways to regain some control and coping with the problem rather than simply accepting the situation. The love of his family and the communities that he found along the way seem very realistic.
