I placed a $893.87 order with AutoGeek that included a Flex FC3311-Z rotary polisher ($469.99). Before ordering, I verified availability on the website and then called in — a sales rep confirmed the item was available. Based on that confirmation, I applied $475 in gift cards specifically toward the polisher, which the rep converted to AutoGeek store certificates to complete the purchase. The remaining $418.39 was charged to my credit card and the full order was placed.

A few days later, I received an unexplained $57.86 store credit, followed by a full $418.39 refund to my credit card — categorized by AutoGeek as "Merchandise returned." I had not returned anything; I hadn't even received my order yet. No explanation was provided. The order eventually arrived without the polisher. My online account showed it as out of stock, yet the public product page still showed it as available.

I emailed the rep who handled my order. No response. When the order arrived minus the polisher, I called and explained that the refund should cover the full $469.99 plus tax, since I had applied gift cards under the explicit assurance that the item was available. The rep promised to look into it and call back. He never did.

After waiting a week, I called again. His position: AutoGeek does not reimburse for gift certificates — the best they could do was refund the credit card charge and issue store credit. When I explained that I had used gift cards based on his confirmed assurance of availability, he said that wasn't their policy. When I told him this would end my relationship with AutoGeek, his response was: "You have every right to do that."

Importantly, every interaction — the initial availability confirmation, the order, the promised follow-up, and the final refusal — was handled by the same representative. There is no question of miscommunication between staff members; one person owned this situation from start to finish and chose not to make it right.

The core issue is simple: a rep confirmed availability, I committed gift card funds on the basis of that confirmation, and when the item turned out to be unavailable, AutoGeek refused to make it right. If you plan to use gift cards on any order, be aware that AutoGeek apparently treats those funds as non-refundable regardless of circumstances — even when the error is entirely on their end. I would strongly encourage fellow enthusiasts to shop elsewhere.

I ordered a part gave them a shipping address and there shipping it to my home address. Part not shipped, no tracking number and they said they can't help me. Very poor customer service!

I ordered coil and spot plug package. They sent me 6 coils, 5 Spock plugs. They told me that I have to send the whole thing back and reord. They would not work with me at all. And send me one spot plug, if you were going to buy something from them. Don't you regret it?

Autogeek.net (and Autogeek.com) have been reliable go-to suppliers of quality detailing products, tools, and knowledge (how-to) including community (online forum).  
I have experienced fair and balanced pricing on their products for over a decade and recommend non-wholesale customers to look for their frequent sales campaigns to maximize potential cost savings.  
It's because of Autogeek's excellent customer service that caused my inspiration to generate a 5-star rating for the company.  I recently had a string of 3 separate, isolated customer service experiences within the last few months resulting from packaging/shipping/delivery related matters were each handled with the best customer support I've experienced from any online e-business to date.
Autogeek demonstrated incident empathy vs only wanting to make the issue go away, a genuine feedback loop towards improving (mitigating future recurrence), and engaged the end customer (over the phone) to directly address my concerns.  The whole Autogeek customer service team throughout the years have been helpful in different ways (resolving discount code issues, product availability, tracking information, etc.) .  Special recognition goes to Eugenie who went above and beyond to make a difference within her organization to improve quality control / logistics related issues that may have been impacting more than just myself.  I believe Eugenie's actions may directly affect increasing customer retention.
