We used this firm to buy a rental property. Upon completion they posted all the original documents to the tenant rather than us. They kept no copies. They did not check if we had signed for safe receipt. They told us they were keeping the documents in their safe storage for us. All this came to light last year when we needed the documents. They ingnored emails and phone calls for some time, even at the top of the management structure.
Their only strategy was to blame a now-retired partner, tell us we don’t need these documents( we did) and we could get copies of some of them ourselves. The Ombudsman took a year to look into it and they had to send us all the copies they could recover and pay £150 compensation! They never apologised and were rude and only interested in point-scoring rather than helping. We are now selling the property and do not have a key document. Totally unprofessional, incompetent, careless and rude.

Banner Jones represented my house builder Noble Homes who I bought my house from in 2021.
It turns out in 2025 when I came to sell the property, I couldn't as Banner Jones had failed to reply to my solicitor re the Land Registry documents and garage lease documents. This still isn't fully sorted out in 2026.
The excuse was that the person dealing with the job left the company and nobody else bothered to pick it up.
As a result the property chain I was in has collapsed and I have lost my onwards purchase. This has left me out of pocket.
Don't use Banner Jones they will just sit on your job for 5 years and do no work on it.
To make matters worse when I complained, they didnt want to know as Noble Homes was their client not me.

This company uses strong arm tactics to intimidate people.
