The job was to repair a rotted pergola. Barnwood’s performance could not have been better. They responded promptly to our request and the work was completed in a highly professional and friendly manner. Richard and Tabitha make a fine team!

Barnwood worked with us from conception. Through project management fitting new kitchen. They were great at discussing options (our main issue was need to replace kitchen floor) with no pressure on final solutions. We decided on a complete refit. The team were great across overall project management, coordinating across different trades people and kitchen suppliers. Fitting of units required their carpentry expertise to deal with uneven walls. All were professional and respectful of our property. Their good work ethic values were evident and we definitely felt they put customer experience first. They were willing while on site to take on additional work (eg sticking doors).

I was looking for someone who was willing to undertake a very very small job. I approached Barnwood Carpentry, really not expecting a response, due to it not bringing them in a big job. They replied straight away, suggested an alternative option to my request, which would make it cheaper for me and made more sense. They were so happy to help me solve my problem, and not interested in trying to get as much money out of me as they could. I will forever be grateful for how kind they were and how professional they were, even though it was such a small job. I would absolutely recommend this company, a delight to do business with. We are so pleased with the work Barnwood Carpentry have recently done for us in one of our upstairs rooms. The built in bookcase is a work of art and the cupboard doors have really smartened the room up. The team are so helpful and nothing is too much trouble. I would not hesitate to recommend Barnwood. A very slick operation.

We asked Barnwood Carpentry to create an outdoor office for us by subdividing an existing timber framed barn into an office and general storage area. They took the office from a bare shell into a fabulous office space by insulating, lining the walls, adding new doors and providing all the electrics including underfloor heating. Richard, Tabitha and the team were fantastic from the word go, communicating regularly to keep us up to date at every stage of the process. Barnwood recently completed a small job for us with some custom shelving in a utility cupboard and a small door and frame to tidy up a messy hole in plasterboard for access to electricity meter & fuse box.

Great communication from Richard and his team from start to finish. Richard replaced our old rotten porch canopy with a beautiful new oak canopy, it looks stunning. I hope to get his team back for some garden projects next year.

We used Barnwood for a number of discrete projects within an overall garden landscaping project. They laid down two new deck areas on a complex sloping site, built a bespoke BBQ area and a bespoke garden store. All the work was done to a high quality. Communication with Richard and the team was excellent throughout with good consultation on options and features.All work was delivered on a timely basis and pricing was transparent and clear both on materials and labour.
