Les photos ne montrent pas l’usure de l’instrument.
L’année de la basse n’est pas celle indiquée ( 2005 au lieu de 2015).
Le poids de la basse n’est pas non plus le bon 4,3 kgs au lieu de 4kgs.
Colis bâclé, réglage approximatif corde défectueuse ou usagée.
Échanges manquant de fluidité, questions sans réponses sur les modalités du retour à mes frais du colis ( que j’ai renforcé au passage).
Déçu 😞 grave déçu.
Called Bass Direct last week
Called Bass Direct last week, Enquiring about one of the Violet Spector basses they had , asking about saturday delivery this was thursday, The person on the phone made no effort to even attempt to arrange a saturday delivery, think his name was Marcus !! every other music shop does this and a sunday, they have no interest , we are talking about a £2899 bass !! if that was me as a sales assistant, I would bite your hand off to the get the sale, but nope totally uninterested, reading the other reviews here, this attitude ties in with what others have experienced, I have already purchased two Spector Euro basses from this shop, this does not count though , they only have themselves to blame for this loss of a sale. the thing is they just don't realise. The comment on one of the reviews got on my nerves by the owner, "We are too big to be affected by that". eh no your not because if people like me don't buy from you , you won't have a business, what an arrogant thing to say. Your staff's people skills are lacking at best, they have no interest in pleasing a customer, or even attempting to do so !! terrible like others said you will not be getting any more of my hard earned money.

Bass Direct stock pretty much the best bass gear you can get your hands on in the UK. They're all seasoned players and they know their
stuff
I’m not in anyway affiliated to the shop, but in a world within which physical music shops are becoming more scarce, having a place you can try gear and explain your preferences and glean advice is good to have.

Custom Mayones jabba 5!…
Thank you Marcus and the team at Bass Direct for helping me with ordering my custom Mayones Jabba 5! I had seen this exact bass on the website a few years ago but it was snatched up before I could get to it. 2 years later Marcus helped me by putting in an custom order to replicate that bass. It took a year to have it built but man it was worth the wait! What an amazing bass. As it turns out Mayones had upgraded the pre-amp since I first saw that bass and Marcus told me the new pre-amp was awesome and he was right. The tone and playability is fantastic and the built in headphone jack is really cool. Marcus helped make sure the colour and wood choice was perfect as Mayones had changed the finish name since the first version so with a few photos and clarifications with Mayones he made sure they matched it perfectly. Its a gorgeous instrument! Thank you for the effort to make sure it was perfect!
It's my second bass from Bass Direct and both are perfect! Now I just have to find a way to visit in person! But the next day delivery makes it so easy and saves a 8 hour travel day from Edinburgh! But next time I am going!

Always prompt and good, personal service
Ordered from Bass Direct a few times now. Always had good service from the team and prompt replies. The bass, and more recently, Darkglass Anagram pedal I ordered were shipped next day and arrived in good time with no issues whatsoever. Keep up the great work guys.

This is really poor customer service as…
This is really poor customer service as the extension lead has not arrived in the post due to mistake in posting incorrectly yesterday. Said they had a new staff member - in that case shipping of items should be checked so they are correct before being released to a particular courier /shipping company ! I now am unable to link my other power supply to extend my pedal board for my recording
If I would have known this I would have ordered from the other supplier who guaranteed next day special delivery at no extra cost or via DPD next day guaranteed
I was looking to use with my other isolated power supply with this lead but now unable to use and have to make quick alternative arrangements due to this store !

Great experience
Visited the shop in person to try and buy a bass cab. Guys very accommodating, made sure I walked out with the bit of gear I that would fulfill my needs (actually cheaper than what I had in mind). No pressure, just awesome bass players who know their gear. Will drive up again.

Great Service and Quick Delivery
I traded a bass with them at the end of last year and they were great letting me try loads of basses till I found the one that worked best for me as well as honouring the trade in price given on my old bass. Just bought a new cab online as it’s a good 3.5hour drive so had it delivered and couldn’t believe how fast they got it to me. Very happy and wouldn’t hesitate to use them again. Have contacted other so called specialists who just never get back to you.

Do Bass Direct care for their customers?
Contacted Bass Direct on the Monday to see if they would be interested in buying my Aria Pro II - I wanted to part ex for a Westone Thunder 1A which they had in stock. Bass Direct requested photographs and on Tuesday morning we had agreed a price (which was under valued but I was happy to go ahead) I would then put down a holding deposit on the Westone. Bass Direct requested my name and address to arrange the deposit on line and I asked some standard questions regarding the Westone. So by Tuesday morning I was booking a day off work to drive to Worcester and to do the exchange to save postage. Everything had gone smoothly and I was impressed with the service provided. Except I didn't hear anything more. On Thursday I cancelled the day off and contacted Bass Direct again assuming the questions I had asked had put them off. Apparently they hadn't seen my email which even if its true why didn't he contact me to ask if I was still interested. I told him I was selling the Aria privately but could still be interested in the Westone. No mention was made regarding the deposit. A couple of hours later Bass Direct told me the Westone was now out of stock (yes the guitar that I should have held on my deposit)
The whole experience felt like a waste of time. On the Monday/Tuesday this was all going through but a complete communication failure made the deal fall flat on its face. I like to support the smaller companies over the corporates like Thomann but they don't help themselves. Reading through the other reviews on here echoes the way I feel.

Mark was super friendly and helpful when I needed a replacement item that I couldn't find listed anywhere in the UK. Item was located, invoiced and despatched quickly and communicated promptly. Great service and customer care.

I bought a beautiful bass from this shop and the owner went out of his way to assist me. However, and hence the rating, my experience in the shop was the complete antithesis of this. The staff were unhelpful, remote, uninterested and made the whole experience so bad that I will never shop there again. A real shame.

Consistently difficult buying experiences
I've had two substandard experiences with Bass Direct. Firstly, I tried ordering a Vanderkley cab on the phone which I was assured was in stock, only then to be told it wasn't when I tried paying for it and instead shown a different range of other cabs in stock. Classic music shop tactic, ain't falling for that one...
I then ordered a used bass earlier this year that arrived with a number of issues (strap pin damage, very noisy preamp) that were not originally disclosed. In the process of trying to rectify the issues, business owner varied from being very helpful to very unhelpful. Bass manufacturer were fantastic (MTD) with sending out new preamp even though it was a used bass, but due to erratic behavior of Bass Direct not standing by their products, they eventually had to be threatened with small claims court to fund preamp repair labour cost and strap button fix (done by my own luthier, as I live far away from their shop).
Shop sells great range of product, and maybe are genuinely helpful with some customers? But my personal customer service experience was way too erratic to consider buying from them again.

Mixed experiences.
Bought an amp head & bag: delivered promptly, although had to chase them for tracking details. Amp & bag are excellent.
Phoned to ask about buying a foot switch: No reply to 2. voicemails. Emailed asking when they expected to receive stock of the latest version of the foot switch: no reply.
Two other dealers in U.K. had no stock, so contacted makers in USA.
After several extremely helpful emails (with the head of the company whose name is on the product) ordered one direct: shipped out within 2 days; automatic shipping/tracking updates provided.
Allowing for VAT, shipping, duty (0%), PayPal fees, will be a similar price to one bought in U.K.
Major difference: customer experience.
Lasting impression is that Bass Direct only care about selling what they have in stock, whereas the USA makers care about supporting happy customers.
There is nothing wrong with Bass Direct’s products, but, from my personal experience they need to up their game in terms of customer service.
Great service, numerous updates and fast delivery.
Ordered some strings yesterday and they arrived today. Communication was good, the price was good, so no complaints at all. Would happily buy from Bass Direct again.
No communication and after 3 weeks no delivery for items shown in stock.
I placed an order for items shown online as in stock. Two weeks later items still had not arrived despite them saying items had been posted. So I phoned and the guy and he said he was sending it that day?!?!? No communication to say they'd made a mistake, just left waiting! A week later still no delivery so phoned again and they said they'd look into it and get back to me. Did they get back to me? No! Appalling service! Buy elsewhere! No excuses in these modern times.
First class from start to finish
Found The Guy Pratt Betsy bass on Bass direct. Emailed regarding availability and purchase options and Mark came back to me within the hour with all the options and clear instructions. Once purchased the bass literally arrived the next day!!! It was set up perfectly and arrived in a gig bag too! First class service and I doubt I’ll go anywhere else for a bass.
