Level 5 Specialist Teaching Assistant Course
I am currently studying for a level 5 Specialist Teaching Assistant course and I am 4 modules into the 16 module course which finishes in July 2027. I was put on this course by my employers. It is quite intense as there is a lot of reading involved and tasks at the end of every module to complete. I am enjoying the course and learning new things with every module and building up my knowledge. I do this course alongside my HLTA role which I took on in September 2025 and managing my family so balancing it all can be difficult at times but I get through it with determination and the fact that I like a challenge. I have built up loads of off the job hours by doing tasks such as interventions and teaching a class for example which all count towards OTJ hours. There was a lot of information to take in at the beginning when I started the course but my Skills Coach Michelle has been so helpful every step of the way. She is always there for support, to provide advice, to check over my work and provide feedback. Michelle is always providing support when the course feels overwhelming at times and even when I ask silly questions. I think having a Skills Coach support you every step of the way makes things that much easier, I don't feel like I am doing it all alone and have someone to talk to if I need. I can't comment on the value for money as I am not paying for the course, it is longer than I initially thought but I'm sure I will get through it all.

I can’t fault be ready from signing up with Sarah to finishing with Tracy I have had the best experience an apprentice could ask for. They’ve helped and supported so much along the way, they’ve listened to me when Iv been ready to leave the course and been encouraging when they know I can do more, I have loved every aspect of the course and working with be ready. As someone that as done a few different apprenticeships over the years this is the best company to work with. The support and attentiveness they have given me help to achieve a DISTINCTION. What a fantastic company ❤️

I'd like to give huge thanks to Rachael Marsden, my skills coach and Michele Jenvey as my EPA coach for all their amazing support, skill and experience. I have recently completed my SEND T A level 3 apprenticeship course and End Point Assessment and I was thrilled to receive a Distinction! The focused preparations drawing it all together in the final stages and calm confident way in which Michele prepared me for EPA really brought the whole course together. Rachael fully supported me through the end modules as if she'd been with me from the start. Both Rachael and Michele have a fantastic way of drawing out all the right answers and objectives without it seeming like it was hard work. I'd also like to thank my Mentor, Jane Blumer and my Colleagues at school for all their tireless encouragement through out. The watershed moment in the course was when I realised that I'd made it through the preparation for the professional discussion and had completed my last observation at school and I was ready to talk about all my new learning and how was I going to fit in all my answers and ideas!! Contrasting this moment to the start of the course, I have grown in confidence, knowledge and started the patient process of developing my skills in my setting at a mainstream secondary school. My Assessor Lisa Lamb from Steadfast was professional and calm and that really set me at ease, I was able to overcome my initial nerves and showcase my efforts and work.
All in all this course was thorough, involved and it lifted me out off my comfort zones and let me achieve a fantastic amount of knowledge, skills and behaviours which otherwise I wouldn't have ever attempted or thought about finally it enabled me to meet so many new people on the way. Thank you!

i am finding this course very helpful…
i am finding this course very helpful and my confidence is growing as i am learning. i will find working with my students alot more successful as i know understand why i am implementing different ways to teach and engage them. i also feel very comfortable with my tutor and feel like i can always ask for help. my tutor makes me understand things clearly when i struggle and always gives me praise which helps me complete my tasks.

A Fantastic Experience with Be Ready
I have recently completed my TA qualification and achieved a distinction, and I honestly could not have done it without the incredible support from the team at Be Ready.
A huge thank you to Jenny, who supported me throughout the entire course. She was always encouraging, approachable, and incredibly knowledgeable. Her guidance and reassurance helped me build confidence every step of the way, and she genuinely cared about helping me succeed.

From Abdoul T - So far I've had a really positive experience with Be Ready while completing my Level 5 course. Excellent Guidance and Motivatiton
I am currently doing my level 5 STA course. My skills coach, Michelle Carr, has been incredibly supportive throughout my learning journey. As an EAL learner, I sometimes find certain aspects challenging, but she provides a well- structured learning environment and guides me step- by step. She is always just a message away if i need help. She always motivates me and shows appreciation , which has really helped build my confidence.

Outstanding Maths Support and Guidance from BeReady
