poor editors not well coordinated
It took months working with these people editing and formatting my book. Their proofreading of me turned into my proofreading of them. They have poor writing instincts and confuse proofreading with editing, making changes to the text that changed meaning, tone, etc, when all I asked for was catching spelling mistakes or grammatical issues etc. They sent edits with no track changes so I couldn't see what changes were made and I had to ask them to make the track changes. When they returned the document they had done editing for content mixed with editing for formatting, which was a nightmare. They changed my pen name to my actual name. They referred to me as "she" in about the author when I am a male. The title of my book is The Compliants; They changed it in the cover art to The Complaints. They involve multiple people who do not seem to know what the other people are doing. Enough said?
