Excellent company from start to finish, beat other prices by a fair amount and the door is excellent heavy duty quality, really please with it and will be ordering a second door shortly to replace an old roller door next to the new one.

Highly recommend for anyone who wants a sectional door.

Rob did a site survey on 24th September. His quote was competitive and his knowledge of the product was very impressive.
Ryan & Alex installed our 2 garage roller doors on 22nd October. They arrived on time, were polite and professional and did a fantastic job.

Needed to purchase a replacement garage door and after reviewing several companies chose to go with Birkdale Garage doors for a double roller door. Spoke to Clare who was very professional and Ryan arrived to measure up within 2 days. Again very professional and answered all my questions and pointed out a couple of things I would need to do with the garage structure to enable a successful fitment. Price seem competitive inmy opinion and went ahead. Door fitted by Alex and Sol. Excellent job professionally carried out by them. Cannot tell you the difference from my old up and over door. Overall a great serice from all involved, very pleased with my purchase and would recommend Birkdale.

Would highly recommend Birkdale. John came out to measure up, discuss types of doors, talk through with us how the door would fit and gave us a quote which we thought was reasonable for an electric insulated door. It was about £600 less than another quote. Fitters came on the day specified and in 3 hours it was fitted and working! A further visit by Alex and Sol to add some trim to the outside which wasn’t available on the first visit finished the job off. What a lovely pair of lads they were too. Had a good old natter while they worked. Fantastic job. Well pleased and happy at the cost. Garage is so much warmer especially when the sun is out! Smooth action and cut off if door sensor is blocked. 2 fobs and 7 year guarantee.

Alex and Chris arrived about 08:45 were finished by 11:15. Two nice people . Work carried out cleanly,quickly and very efficiently. Would highly recommend this company to anyone wanting a new garage door. Many thanks . All done in 2 weeks.

Ordered a garage door through a builder, who was carrying out a lot of work at our house. It was fitted last autumn, but behind the obvious doorway, not in it as we expected - nothing like this mentioned at the survey as options! As a result, we had 8 inches cut off the garage length, and an 8 inch gap between the top of the door and the wall, so a gale would blow through when the wind was up.

The builder struggled to get any response from Birkdale other than 'pay the bill', I made contact by phone and e-mail to the owners also with no response. Finally the builder was told that Birkdale had messed up the survey by not telling us what the plan was, and now no response for another 2 months.

The company seem to have not interest in putting right mistakes. I wouldn't give them any money until you are happy with what they have done, or if you are happy for them to do whatever they want. If there is a problem, they are very unlikely to sort it out.

Hopefully you can find the name if you spell it right.

The builder tells us you are finally coming to put the door in the right place, which involves trimming it down. Only 6 months after you finally realised the problem, a year after the original fitting, and after being passed from one to another of your management team while nothing happened.

Hopefully you are not planning to leave bare metal edges.

You have repeated the typo, my name is Steve TaylEr as at the top of the post. Our builder was Leigh Hicks. You have finally come to adjust the door and it is now in the right place, after a year of aggro and being told we were wrong.

The door is good, the fitters were good (although the ones who originally went ahead with fitting it when the survey was so clearly wrong should not have done so without saying anything.

Your surveyor is useless, and your customer service is non-existent. No surprise you went bust 18 months ago.

Contrary to local installer's advice - Birkdale is very much in business!! Got replacement sensor delivered within days (very helpful Ellie) and then Ryan sorted the programming remotely - excellent advice / many thanks!

Doors stop working after I carried some DIY to the garage floor. Cannot thank Ryan enough for the help sorting the problem out. Considering they were installed in 2018 I cannot fault the service

Purchased a Birkdale garage door and 5 years later it still wont work. I am confined to a wheelchair and my charger is in the garage and now the door wont work at all. I have been in contact with Birkdale and the person on the phone was rude. Never use this company again

Just had new double garage door fitted by Birkdale, my experience from start to finish was nothing short of excellent, Their fitters are very professional and courteous. The quality build is 1st class and the door operates so quiet. I would have no hesiattion in recommending this company to others, you will not be disappointed.

Really pleased with the full service from start to finish, from when Rob came out to see me initially to see what I wanted, he was so patient with me as I really didn't know anything about the types of doors that were available. All I did know was that i didn't want anyone to bang their heads on the tracks that went back as my friend had done on my old door and cut his head, I was also worried about a pipe running across the ceiling, I also wanted the garage to be nice and warm and draught free. Rob showed me loads of samples and i went for a thick Sectional door with a trimmed frame to match my windows.
The fitters were brilliant and could not do enough to reassure me everything would look great when they had finished, Solly and Chris were really nice young men and happy to answer any questions that I had, they fitted me 2 wireless switches to the walls so that dont have to keep looking for my pressy button things to make it work.

Excellent from start to finish.
From the initial enquiry everything went very smoothly.
Pete contacted us to talk things through before his visit to measure up to make sure he knew what we were looking to purchase.
During the visit Pete confirmed our requirements from the position of the door to the colour and then the finishing touches.
The next day we had our quote.
I spoke to Simon to ask some technical questions and also discuss the potential to upgrade the control unit. Other than ‘upsell’ a more expensive unit he said that the one we had selected was right for the door.
We had a phone call from Clare who took our payment and confirmed the order would be fitted around May 1st.
Birkdale were better than that as the garage door was fitted on April 26th.
The fitters were great in that they just got on with the job. The old garage door was removed and taken away and the garage area was left clear and tidy.
Thank you Birkdale for a great job and a great looking garage door.

I ordered my garage door from Birkdale, three weeks later it was fitted and working as promised. The fitters worked realy hard to fit it in one afternoon. The door looks amazing and the price was a lot cheaper than other quotes I got. I opted for the golden oak finish and made from strong aluminium. Well done Birkdale doors for a fast efficient job. Very happy !

Birkdale have been brilliant from first contact to installation. Simon came to the property and measured up before promptly providing us with a quote. He was very patient and helped us to choose the most appropriate door for our needs and design preferences. Simon was also fantastic in providing me with a firm date for the fitting of the garage door.

Having been let down by people working on our house in the past, we felt we had finally got lucky with Ryan and Alex! They were professional and friendly from start to finish. They answered all our questions and tidied up after themselves. They also worked around some of the unique features of our house (e.g. random stone pillars with uneven edges) and gave us a few tips for improving the thermal efficiency of the garage. Honestly, they were faultless and we will definitely be ordering our front door from them in the near future.

Found Birkdale online when I broke our 30 year old up and over garage door.

The rep came out quickly to measure up and quote.

Spoke numerous times to the lovely Ellie in the office to take a deposit and confirm the installation date etc.

Ryan and Alex arrived on the day from Scunthorpe (I'm Nottingham) at just after 9:15 am (so I had time for the school runs etc).

Both lads were friendly and chatty, and I felt at ease leaving them to get on with the installation.

The roller garage door looks great, matches my windows, and life is going to be soooo much easier getting in and out to the front now!

Ryan and Alex were tidy workers and left the drive as they found it, taking everything away with them. Very impressed with them and the new door, did a great job! 👍

Not a good company to deal with.
Placed my order on 6th of August 2023, through Costco. The first attempt at installing my garage door on 10th of November (3 months since order) was an absolute disaster, door was too big. Then it was to be installed on 22nd November, door wasn’t delivered. Finally installed on 6th of December 23. Frame and box a different colour from the door. Door colour is mahogany, frame and box front were white. I paid extra to have it laminated the same colour of the door.
Contacted the company, and was assured that this would be put right, with the box being made to the same colour of the door.
Contacted Birkdale in January 2024, to find out when the outstanding work would be carried out, only to be informed that they wouldn’t be sticking to the contract and making the box the same colour, and I would have to find someone that would be able to do it. They did offer to refund the price for colour matching, but only after I asked for it. Also had to chase them for the extra remotes i had paid for, when i enquired about them being programmed, was simply fobbed off with, there will be instructions with them, which was a bit off putting, considering i had paid for everything to to be installed, and in working order. When they arrived, guess what wasn’t included with them, instructions.
My overall experience with this company is poor, they are unable to fulfil contracts, they don’t communicate and their customer service is nonexistent at best.
I can understand why Costco no longer use them.
I’ve given one star, only because the door seems to be pretty good.
Do not use them, find a more reliable supplier.

Update in response to reply from Birkdale - there was no offer of waiting for the work to be carried out, in finality i was simply told that they can no longer source/provide a colour match, and i would have to source it myself. Had i been given the option to wait for this to be rectified, i would have happily done so. Poor response to cover poor service.

So pleased with my new garage door fitted today by Ryan and Chris . You wouldn’t have known they were here except for the new garage door at the end. Very polite and considerate as I was working from home during the fitting and we have a dog . Little noise no mess .. just what you need when having work done and things replaced. They made sure everything was working and gave a demo so I’d know how to use the fob and wall switch .. even has a light that stays on for a time, if using your garage the old fashioned way to park your car .
From start to finish, from the point of ordering to the fitting day .. highly recommend them . Well done lads much appreciated

The two guys arrived from sunny Scunthorpe bang on time to my home in central Scotland.
The coldest day of the year (temp never got above -1c) and the guys worked like trojans for the entire day.
Work was completed to a really high standard, and they did everything possible to avoid disruption to our daily routine.
Even tidied up to a very high standard…..no cardboard or packing materials left on site (which was really pleasing).
In my experience, this was as good as it gets. Very happy.
