I have yesterday had a new sectional garage door fitted by this Company. The fitters Ryan and Sol were excellent with communication prior to arrival, their quality of workmanship, explanation of operation and warranty and left their workspace clean and tidy.
The door itself is top quality feeling sturdy and a smooth quiet operation

I’m ashamed to say I’m so excited by my new garage door. The quality is great. Movement is exceptional. Works from my phone too. I love it.
Had a slight issue with fitting as the fitter had a problem with his van, so came a day late but they did everything they could not too delay in any longer.
Small scratch on frame that needs a part replaced but I’m confident this will be done quickly.
Worth every penny.

We are very pleased with the new electric garage door manufactured and installed by Birkdale. Apart from a rescheduled installation date the whole process went smoothly from start to finish. We received useful information in selecting the correct finish and colour for the door. The installers fitted the new door in quick time and cleared up the old door and left the place nice and tidy.

The garage door itself is amazing but the customer service from the installation team was extremely poor. First fitting date no show, they didn’t even bother to call us to say they wouldn’t be coming. Waited another month for the next fitting date and again another no show with no call either to say. Once we made an official complaint to birkdale and Costco ( who we had purchased the door from) we suddenly got offered a fitting date in 2 days. Although they still turned up 2 hours after the arrival time they gave.

So if your unlucky enough to get the same team of fitters as us, good luck in actually getting your door any time soon!

The two engineers arrived after 1.30pm but managed to have the door installed by 2.30pm...impressive rate of work and professional service throughout the installation. Very polite and always happy to reply to any query I had.

Roller garage door fitted on time and as promised. Staff all gave good service from initial measuring to installation. Peter who fitted the door was swift, efficient and gave good explanation of the product. A very satisfactory experience at a competitive price.

We replaced our metal up-and-over doors with matching 55mm laminated roller doors - absolutely fabulous quality! Smooth running and very silent. All accompanying components i.e. including two 2-channel remotes per door and separate internal wall control panels with build in illumination -again robust and high quality. The installation team was 2-man, professional, friendly and efficieint. They also cleaned as they installed and left the garage spotless. An exceptionally high quality service from start to finish. Was given a likely and early installation date which was honoured. Certainly, this is one of the best experiences I have had from a commercial organisation. We were kept informed throught the process. My strong recommendation is, if you are considering purchasing a roller garage door, you should ALWAYS get a quote from these guys. You will not be disappointed. The product and service is beyond first class. Finally, the product comes with an industry leading and lengthy guarantee, for peace of mind. If you are looking for affordable quality and top-class service you need look no further.

Two polite installers showed up when they said they would, installed with no fuss, all left clean afterwards and showed the operation.

Everything about this company is first class, quality is assured and second to none and with full after sales and lengthy guarantees.
All this and manufactured locally but fitted nationally.

Two sectional doors fitted to my new garage. Overall, the service from Birkdale and their installation partner has been nothing less than excellent. Service fantastic, communication great and a competitive price - I highly recommend them.

Communication from this company was none exsitant, i had to chase for delivery dates and progress and was answered by very rude person in operations. Delivery was slow, fitting was sub contracted out to a firm that left a bit to be desired, they were on the phone asking about installation the whole time. would not recommend.

Rob at Birkdale gave excellent service in helping me find an extra remote opener for my garage door.

Sectional door fitted yesterday. Efficient survey. Good communication from the company. Fitted as planned. Great fitters who did a neat job and left the place clean and tidy, including taking away the old door and frame. Lovely sturdy door.

Excellent experience from start to finish. Initial enquiry in March, installation in mid April. Pleasant and competent staff from start to finish. Superb looking garage door installed by two great blokes.

Very disappointed with communication, product and problem solving after sales. We ordered a Birkdale Awning including installation in March 2021 through Costco and believed we were dealing with a trusted company. We checked our gap measurements over the phone and by email with a representative from Birkdale and sent photos of the proposed site after which the awning was duly ordered with no advice to adjust the measurement to allow for it to actually fit correctly. When the awning arrived on 1st July, the fitters asked whether a survey had been carried out as the awning was going to be a difficult installation. They came up with a solution and fitted the awning much higher than they would normally and angled it, asked us to sign for the job then left. It was quickly realised during the following days that it had been fitted too high for the afternoon sun and when the wind blew it bounced off our extension roof and damaged a ridge tile. After months of complaints that it was now not fit for the purpose we ordered and that we’d established it was even longer than the measurement of the gap we gave them in the first instance they have stuck to the version that we signed the job completion form so it’s not their problem. A very unfair interpretation that a customer is happy even though actual use of the product begins after they leave and can’t be predicted in the short time of fitting. Also the awning is up on the wall and the fitters are waiting for you to sign the paperwork. This was an expensive bespoke product that is longer than the original gap measurement. We still don’t have a resolution after 9 months and they have never once visited the site other than Ezi Dor to install. Very disappointed with Birkdale and Ezi Dor fitters for not trying to help us achieve a satisfactory outcome considering the bespoke product is longer than the given gap measurement. Disappointed with Costco for not doing enough to tackle Birkdale over the issue. I would not recommend this company to anybody. Funnily enough Costco no longer sell Birkdale Awnings!
Thank you for replying to my review however I’m unaware of any resolution to our problem with the product and the after sales service at the moment from either Birkdale or Costco.
