Beware!
The people who ran this boiler company opened a solar installation company called Green Central Ltd. They went on to trick many people from their cash without providing the necessary paperwork or even finishing the job - me included. It caused huge amounts of work and frustration and the people first lied through their teeth and latterly were impossible to get in touch with. They even used trade certification and recommendations illegally.
Before you engage them for a boiler, take a look at the negative reviews here and also on the review pages for Green Central - their solar panel business.
Not surprisingly, the solar panel business declared bankruptcy.
They have no decency and no conscience. I see that they have deleted the TrustPilot review link from their current website.
It’s really better to not trust them or maybe avoid them altogether.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS
I used Boiler Central and the experience was extremely poor from start to finish.
This took around 18 months to resolve, which is completely unacceptable.
There were multiple failed installation attempts, missed appointments, and ongoing issues that were never properly resolved. I was given conflicting information throughout and spent a lot of time chasing updates.
At one point, Boiler Central signed the work off on our behalf to release the finance agreement, despite us refusing to sign as the work was not completed to an acceptable standard. This resulted in finance being activated on what was, in my view, incomplete and unsafe work.
They were given several opportunities to put things right. Initially, they wanted to send the original installation team back, which I refused due to poor workmanship, damage to my property, and lack of trust. Eventually, another engineer attended and confirmed the system needed a full reinstallation.
A new date was arranged. I took time off work. No one turned up, and no communication was provided.
At this point, I contacted Gas Safe independently. They identified multiple issues with the installation. Boiler Central were given deadlines to resolve this but failed to meet them. It was only when sanctions were mentioned that they attempted to engage.
The photos show the standard of work they considered acceptable and attempted to secure payment for. Re standing unsecured gas and water pipes, around our PIV system and house electrics in addition to a flue that wasn’t sealed allowing harmful gases and elements into our property and live wires. The system was later fully corrected by another company.
I would strongly advise anyone considering Boiler Central to avoid them completely.

Boiler service booked and paid for through them. Waited in all day on my day off and the engineer never turned up. Called them to enquire and was told that he did attend. Had to submit my ring doorbell evidence to prove he didn’t attend my property. No phone calls from the company or engineer which would be common sense if he couldn’t locate my flat, he just simply went home. Was told by the company that the engineer can’t call me. I paid £99 for this service! Was told by boiler central that I would have to rebook on another day. Total waste of my time and was told no compensation for me having to take another day off work. Would not recommend and will not use again.
Absolutely poor
Absolutely poor, you try to contact them and it’s near enough impossible. Whether you do it via their messaging portal or phone call. No one is there to help you, I would recommend going with someone else as they are not helpful. My boiler since being installed, is not heating up quick enough and is not provide sufficient hot water. I’ve tried contacting them multiple times, I’ve never seen them try to contact me back.
Do not use
Bought a boiler and service agreement on a 10 year contract and then they changed their name from Yorkshire Boilers to Boiler Central after 3 years and told me my service agreement was no longer valid. After some complaints to the finance company, they eventually agreed to continue the service agreement "as a goodwill gesture". Lo and behold another 3 years later and they've gone into administration again. This time i can't even contact them at all as they've got an answer machine saying the phone number is not valid. The finance company say they can't help this time so now I have to keep paying the finance agreement on top of now having to pay for my boiler service. In my opinion these people are con artists claiming they've gone bankrupt every few years and leaving customers out of pocket.

Dreadful company
Dreadful company. Last year my boiler went, every time I put the job through they cancelled it. Took ages to sort. Had to get a private plumber and they took the Mick to refund. Stayed with them against my better judgement for Homecare £30 a month. Want to book a service. Phone rings and cuts out. Now there is a leak in the toilet. Same issue. No idea what I'm paying them for but I will be cancelling the direct debit. SHAM COMPANY - BEWARE!!!
Do not use these cowboys
Do not use these cowboys. Fitted boiler, everything fine. 1st service everything fine. 2nd service, notice put on boiler cos flue fitted incorrectly. So why did the first engineer not pick this up. Absolute shambles of a company. Emails and phone calls back and forward. Nothing sorted. Keep away.
Terrible service
Terrible service, paid in full over the phone after they confirmed they could replace the boiler no problem based on photos I shared with them. Then on the day of installation On the day of installation got a rude phone call from the office saying we had to provide parking. Then the technician would only work if I would cover any traffic ticket if they got one. Then when they entered my house they told me they could not install it. Waited 2 weeks for this. I did get a full refund
Avoid this company!
Avoid this company! They “installed” a £11000 air source system at my property at the beginning of last year. The work is still incomplete and not to regulation. My formal complaint has been ongoing since August 2025 involving HIES, NAPIT, MCS and the DRO and frustratingly now that Boiler Central LTD is in administration, I don’t think this will get resolved and I will have to pay out more money to get this matter dealt with. There should be more protection for consumers against incompetent rouge companies like Boiler Central Ltd!

Boiler central were very quick to respond to me, really efficient friendly and experienced staff throughout and the price for a new boiler was really good too

Not a good company to deal with. Constantly failed to make deliveries on time/ if you cancel because of their failures - you get charged an administrative charge.

Gone into administration on 6th January 2026
Our panels stopped working through an electrical fault in September 2025. Unable to contact Boiler Central or Green Central I have now discovered that they have gone into administration on 6th January 2026.
I would not recomend this comany.
Boiler installation was never done right, I would expect the company to rectify the issues, however nothing has been done since (October 2024) and they wont get back to you.
Also on the day of the installation (after the install engineer ripped out the old boiler) I got a surprise phone call (from Boiler Central) demanding an extra £100 or they will tell the installation engineer to 'Not proceed with the Installation of the new boiler). This was because it turned out I needed a condensate pump which they had not factored into the final quote. But i feel if they are not bothering to survey jobs beforehand, the quote price you agree to over the phone/email/online should be the final one rather than threatening to leave you without heating or hot water in winter, when they find out you need an extra part. I had told them exactly where the boiler was going in the property beforehand.
Also a condensate pump is a fairly standard part that is probably going to be needed in most new boiler installs these days. Especially if your going to have a condensate pipe installed though your loft. So look out for this if your thinking of using these guys. I was paying a fair amount for the boiler and installation (almost £3000) it was not one of their cheapest boiler offerings. A condensate pump really should be part and parcel of the installation.
I also took out their service plan to ensure the manufacturer warranty remains valid and to get the extended years offered by boiler central themselves however....
The first boiler service was originally due in October 2025 with Boiler central. It was postponed until January 2026 with the promise the warranty won't be affected (this was due to lack of available service engineers or so they said).
I then got an email in November 2025 saying my contract was moving to a new company called Eco Happy but the contract terms wont be affected.
The new company (eco happy) take over the contract in November 2025 and since then I've been trying to get the service booked in calling every week to get something sorted. It's coming to the end of January and I'm now getting very concerned the lack of boiler service will leave the boiler warranty void.
I wouldn't recommend boiler Central or Eco happy to anyone.
I would recommend you find someone local or use a company that survey jobs and don't sub-contract the work out instead.
Really bad after-sales care - can't get leak fixed!
Although the price and initial fitting were good, I'm very disappointed with the after-sales care. 3 months after the installation the magnetic filter started leaking, resulting in a completely cold house when we returned home after Xmas.
After leaving a repair request on the Boiler Central website I got no response in several weeks (not even an automated confirmation mail). I tried again on the website, and also repeatedly phoned them at different times of day but could never get through to anyone. I left a voicemail but it was ignored.
It is a shame
It is a shame as I was very happy with original boiler installation and price of my boiler and he first two services. But the 1 star has been trying to get a response from Boiler Central by phone or email regarding a service in December which may mess with my guarantee on my boiler. If someone from the company would contact me that would help. The lack of response does not encourage buying a plan from them. Also frustrating as get calls from sales team re solar panels but phone just rings for contacting re maintenance .. it has been 2 months !
Unable to contact this company regarding service
I pay for a Service Plan for my boiler, spoke to someone back in October to book a service, was told next dates would be January, I gave them 3 date options, one of which has already passed.
Can't get through to anyone on any of the phone numbers given on their website, tried sending an email but that was returned as undeliverable. Have been trying to contact them since the 2nd January.
Really unhappy with this situation and not sure where to turn to next.

Taken from the administrators report Eco Happy LTD purchased Boiler Central LTD on 19th December 2025 for sum of £59,000.
They purchased the company with over £2m of debt and the debt has been squashed with the administrators. I am owed thousands along with hundreds more.
Eco happy ltd flag reviews on their trust pilot and reply to allegations that they have NOTHING to do with Boiler Central.. hilarious considering they purchased the failed boiler central.
These people should be behind bars.
