Bought a 6mo subscription for $190. After shipping to the USA from Japan, it came out to about $300, which equals out to about $50 per box. Each box is different, with a unique theme. For instance, in March, that's the start of spring and their Cherry Blossom season. I got a beautiful pink box with cherry blossoms on it, with a bunch of snacks and deserts that revolved around the season, some were even pink. After 6 mo of boxes, we found no duplicate snacks. But, you may get 2 of the same snacks in box if they're small, so it's easier to share with family/friends. Some of the snacks are very decadent, richly sweet and extremely delicious. Some are savory/umami. Some just didn't agree with our pallets, but I personally enjoyed about 90-95% of it all. Each box included a themed tea, and let me tell you, it's DEFINITELY better than your typical Celestial Seasons bagged tea we're used to in the USA. They include a paper with all the ingredients IN ENGLISH for each product, so if you're ALLERGY CONSCIOUS, this is for you. Then, they include a nicely printed booklet of your months snack box, describing the season and each type of food, how it's prepared and served and what it's enjoyed with. It's sort of like you have a little Japanese snack tour guide, guiding you through the tastings. Going to try some other countries boxes for now, but I can definitely say it was a great experience and I'm sure I'll buy another subscription one day. Thank you everyone at Bokksu. -Kyle F

My monthly subscription has become my family’s favourite monthly tradition, we sit down after supper, read the culture guide and share the snacks between our family of 4 and still have some for later! It has always been a dream to travel to Japan and this gives us the opportunity to experience it from home!

This is in my opinion the number 1 snck service i have ever tried and iv'e tried a couple the service if you need to contact them aer excellent the products are always high quality the packaging is great especoally the spicial boxes delivery from Japan to Australia is rather quick. Best snacks ever.

Bokksu Snack Boxes are the perfect way to add joy to your life! Seeing the Bokksu orange box on our porch always puts a smile on my face. The sweet and savory snacks are incredibly delicious. They are so beautifully packaged and described in such mouthwatering detail in the wonderful booklet that comes in each box. They taste like they are made with such care and love. We always want to go to Japan after eating them. Shipping is usually fine which is a feat in itself considering today's tariffs and customs duties. If you do have any issues, Ruth and Emi, the most wonderful Bokksu customer service team, will always solve your problems. Excellent, excellent customer service! They answer promptly and they have always made me feel like a valued Bokksu customer. I will continue to order Bokksu boxes yearly as I am a Bokksu Snack Box Fan for Life!. Unbelievably authentic and tasty food! So much for your money. Customer service was incredible and I would buy from them again for sure.

Bokksu Advent Calendar took 1 1/2 months to come. Ordered on 11/2 and arrived late on 12/12. Customer service blamed it on tariffs and customs delays. Funny how tracking said it was shipped out of Las Vegas. Mostly mini candies and mochi for $229. Not worth it!!!

Stay far away from this place if you expect your order to arrive in a timely manner. Ordered some items almost 3 weeks ago and they still have not shipped my items. Has to be some of the worst shipping on planet earth. I could have walked to Japan in back in less time!

All of the people I had contact with at the company were courteous, professional and very efficient. I had an issue receiving my box and they were very speedy in fixing the issue. I look forward to updating my review after my son enjoys the treats in the box on Christmas.

I got to know Bokksu when a friend of mine sent me one for my birthday this year. I was very impressed by the carefully selected assortment of snacks from all over Japan. So for this holiday season, I have ordered the Bokksu as Xmas gifts to my friends who used to live in Japan and love authentic Japanese snacks. I think they will be as much impressed as me!

Yes, the Japanese snack box took a while to get here and the delivery updates were confusing BUT customer service was so responsive and pleasant. And now the box is here it looks amazing and packed with delicious looking foods.

I ordered an advent calendar that they billed me for but never delivered. They claimed they can’t find the order despite the fact that I furnished them with the order number they gave me on the conforming email. Customer service is not at all helpful.

Very disappointing and pricey experience with Bokksu. I have ordered $240 advent calendar at their website following a social media ad. The order was placed on Nov. 4th. As of Dec 2 I still did not receive the order and the shipping shows pending. I contacted their customer service repeatedly. First I was assured that it's enough time for the order to be delivered by Dec. 1. Then they confirmed that the order won't reach me on time and agreed for the refund. Next thing I know, a different customer rep followed up and told me to check another tracking which was showing the movement of the packaging in Japan. By Nov. 29th I ordered a new advent and requested a refund, but got refused. The rep said that I need to wait for the order to be attempted for delivery and then refuse it. However, they are usiing regular (cheapest) USPS mailing, which means the order will be just dropped off at the reception of my building. When I asked if I can send it back, he sent me a link to a third party website where I can file a claim within 90 days of the order. What a freaking mess! 30 days after the purchase, I do not have an advent calendar, I can not get a refund and I need to spend more money to buy a replacement, and then track their package and try to resolve it on my own. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!

We’ve really enjoyed our Bokksu subscription! The snacks are always high-quality, and the curation is thoughtful. My daughter especially loves reading the beautifully designed booklet that comes with every box. It adds an extra layer of learning and excitement to the fun experience. Highly recommend! 🎉🍵🍘

We ordered the Advent box for our kids who just spent three weeks in Japan. It came at just the right time and the box looks quality. Look forward to hearing from our kids what they think when they open it. We emailed the company a few times to check on tracking and the team answered quickly and info we needed. The customer service at Bokksu is excellent. I made several mistakes while ordering and Emi helped me sort it all out not once but twice! She was patient and efficient in refunding my order so that I could correct my mistakes.
