Excellent service from start to finish
Couldn’t be happier with the whole experience. We went into the showroom not really knowing what we wanted, but everyone was really helpful and happy to answer all our questions without trying to sell us the most expensive option.
The installation went smoothly, the lads turned up on time, were polite, cleaned up after themselves and did a great job. The stove looks even better than we expected and has completely changed the room.
Really glad we chose Bonfire. Great service from start to finish and I’d definitely recommend them.

Servicing? What Servicing
This company offer Servicing Wood burners on their website, I contacted them in February to book an appointment to get the burner serviced ready for the next winter. They advised me what parts to buy and said they would add me to their service list and services took place around installations. I purchased the parts . 6 months later they have finally said we dont have the time so get a sweep to fit the parts. No apology, no acknowledgement for wasting our time, just a get lost. Terrible.

We are genuinely sorry that this experience left you feeling disappointed.
Although we did not originally supply or install your stove, we still tried to assist by identifying the parts you were likely to need and advising where they could be purchased more cost effectively. When you first contacted us, we explained that your details would be added to our servicing list and that we would contact you if an engineer became available while working in your area. Unfortunately, this was not a confirmed appointment, and no service date was agreed.
Our installation schedule remained much busier than anticipated, and it became clear that we could not offer you a suitable appointment. Rather than leave you waiting any longer, we suggested contacting a local chimney sweep who may be able to fit the parts and carry out the service sooner.
However, we fully accept that we should have updated you earlier and apologised properly when it became clear that we could not help. Our final message was intended to provide you with a quicker alternative, but we are sorry that it came across as dismissive.
We have since contacted you directly and are reviewing how we communicate servicing availability so that customers receive clearer expectations and more timely updates in future.

Appalling delivery and service- Beware!
They expected me to unload a 95KG outdoor burner of a transit van. When I was unable to this this, I was informed to not accept the delivery and told to pay for delivery again with tailgate.
This is not "delivery' to your property which was stated. I had no way of getting the product to ground level to move it. Be warned about the wording on delivery, it is very misleading.
I wrote a complaint to this company on the 3rd June 2026....have not had any reply.
Now spoken to Max at Bonfire. Clearly doesn’t see my point of view. Hopefully they will update their website to better qualify what constitutes free delivery.
It is good that the firm are going to review the delivery clarity. A couple of points
1. The website still suggests that it is free delivery on items over £1000. When you place your order it then confirms that you qualify for a free delivery, twice. When you complete your purchase it asks you to tick the t&cs which if you read the delivery and collections then it is still not be clear that the delivery you qualify for does not include the unloading of the item. The conclusion I would make is that the free delivery is an incentive to purchase. This may be the case for anyone that has a forklift or 4 strong neighbours otherwise it is not.
2. There is an implication that Bonfire paid a gesture of good will. This was actually an incentive on their website to secure orders (and cashflow) for stock that they had yet to receive.
3. The response from the company came after two weeks and within 2 hours of a negative Trustpilot review. I will leave it to the reader to decide what conclusions you can draw from that.

I am sorry you feel this way, as this is not how we want any customer to feel after ordering from us.
I do think it is only fair to clarify our side of the situation. The delivery arranged for your order was our dedicated one person small van delivery service, which was covered free of charge on this order. This delivery information is stated on the product page delivery tab and also within our delivery information page, both of which are available before ordering.
As a gesture of goodwill, a £100 discount had already been applied to the order. Upgraded delivery options, including tail lift and white glove delivery where suitable, were explained and available before despatch, but these were not selected, so the order proceeded with the delivery service that had been agreed and confirmed in advance.
Before the delivery went ahead, we also emailed to confirm the delivery method, the item weight, that the receiver would be responsible for unloading, that the driver may be able to assist but this could not be guaranteed, and that a tail lift option could be quoted for if required.
I completely understand that a 95kg item is heavy and that the situation on the day would have been frustrating. However, this was not a case of us unexpectedly asking you to unload without warning. The delivery type, available options, item weight and unloading requirement had all been confirmed before dispatch.
When it became clear on the day that the arranged delivery method was not suitable, the advice not to accept the delivery was given to avoid the risk of damage, injury or further issues. A tail lift delivery is a different service and does carry an additional courier cost.
Regarding your comment about not receiving a reply, we have replied by email and also spoken with you by phone since your complaint was raised.
We are genuinely sorry that you were unhappy with the experience, and we will take your comments on board to make our delivery wording even clearer for residential customers going forward.

Required a spare piece of glass for my Contura stove. Bonfire sourced the item from the manufacturers in Sweden with little fuss. Took a little while to get the item, but this was due to the manufacturer rather than Bonfire.

Check your delivery charge
Impossible to buy from them. A £337 fireplace beam attracts a premium delivery service charge of £245, nearly doubling the cost of the product. The explanation that this is “fragile product” and requires bespoke handling does not bode well for the robustness of the product or a trouble free install.

Our plaster beams are high quality, handcrafted products that require specialist handling during transport. The need for bespoke delivery reflects the fragility of the material in transport, not the workmanship.
Because delivery costs are calculated based on distance, we often recommend that customers outside our area consider visiting a local fireplace shop.
From experience, we have to use a dedicated fragile goods courier to ensure safe arrival which is something standard couriers cannot guarantee. We don’t add any margin to these charges, and we remain transparent about them at checkout.
Most suppliers offer collection only for this type of product due to the fragile nature of it, but we provide a delivery option for flexibility and convenience.
Our priority is always that every beam arrives safely and in perfect condition.
