Learning to drive can feel daunting, especially at the beginning, so having an instructor who makes the experience relaxed, enjoyable and even fun can make an enormous difference. It’s especially wonderful to hear how much your confidence grew throughout your lessons. Learning to drive can be challenging at the best of times, but when nerves around the test itself come into play, having the determination to keep going after a setback is something to be really proud of.

We’re delighted that you felt supported and encouraged throughout the whole process, particularly after the tests that didn’t quite go your way. Those experiences can knock your confidence, so to keep working at it, come back stronger and ultimately achieve the result you wanted is a fantastic accomplishment.

It’s also really important to us that pupils finish their lessons feeling that they have genuinely learned how to drive safely and confidently in the real world, rather than simply learning enough to get through a driving test. Passing the test is obviously an amazing milestone, but having those skills and confidence to take forward into years of independent driving is what really matters.

Firstly, congratulations on passing your driving test! That is a brilliant achievement, and we are so pleased to hear that Alan helped you feel confident and comfortable behind the wheel.

Thank you for your lovely comments about him. Alan is incredibly patient and genuinely passionate about helping his pupils succeed, so we know your words will mean a great deal to him. He will be delighted to hear that all the hard work you put in together resulted in a pass.

We also really appreciate your honest comments about the administration and the changes to your lesson dates. We are sorry that you were left waiting for updates and felt you had to keep chasing before everything was rescheduled. Although dates can occasionally need to change, you should have been kept properly informed throughout and should not have needed to “nag” us for a response. We completely understand how frustrating and unsettling that must have been, particularly when you were trying to concentrate on learning and preparing for your test.

Your feedback is fair and helpful, and it is something we will take on board as we continue improving the way changes and updates are communicated to pupils. We want the organisation surrounding a course to feel just as supportive and reliable as the tuition itself.

Everyone at Bristol & Bath Intensive Courses is delighted to hear that, after a difficult start with another driving school, Alan was able to rebuild your daughter’s confidence and help her feel comfortable behind the wheel again. Confidence is often the key to success, and Alan has a fantastic ability to put nervous pupils at ease while giving them the skills they need to progress.

Tim will also be incredibly pleased to read your kind words. His calm, patient and supportive approach is exactly what so many learners need, particularly those who don’t find driving comes naturally. Firstly, we are genuinely sorry that your initial experience did not meet the standard we expect. We appreciate you bringing your concerns to our attention at the time, as it allowed us to investigate and take action. The experience you describe with your first instructor is certainly not what we aim to provide our pupils.

We are, however, pleased that once we became aware of the issues, we were able to arrange for Felix to take over your training. It is fantastic to hear that he gave you the support, guidance and confidence you needed, ultimately helping you pass your test after just two days together. We will make sure your kind comments are passed on to him.

We also appreciate your comments regarding the overall timescale. Unfortunately, instructor availability, test availability and arranging suitable dates can sometimes extend the process beyond anyone’s preference, although we understand how frustrating that can be from a pupil’s perspective.

In relation to the test day fee, this is a separate charge agreed directly with the instructor for the use of their vehicle, insurance, time and accompanying the test. This is outlined in our terms and conditions and is not a charge that is introduced at the end of the course unexpectedly.

Thank you again for your honest feedback. Whilst we regret that your journey did not begin as it should have, we are delighted that it ended with a successful pass. We wish you many years of safe and enjoyable driving ahead.

Learning to drive can be a daunting experience, especially in the lead-up to a driving test, so it’s fantastic to know that Alan helped him feel relaxed and confident from the very beginning. He has a brilliant way of putting pupils at ease while giving them the skills and confidence they need to succeed, and we’re incredibly proud to have him on our team.

Although it was understandably disappointing for Edward to miss out on his first test because of one small mistake right at the end, we’re so pleased he didn’t let it knock his confidence. Credit to him for staying positive, getting back behind the wheel, and making the most of the cancellation when it became available.
