An excellent company. I had many questions about moving from London to Devon and was in touch with Britannia Lanes by both email and phone on a number of occasions. All staff members were very helpful and offered superb advice. Based on my own experience I recommend the company without reservation.

Firstly I must praise the crew on our move from Devon to Hampshire. They were everything that the office should have been and wasn't - cheerful, happy, efficient, good at their jobs. The office staff were a disaster zone - adding on extra charges after the contract was agreed - including one for delivering on a later day than had been requested!. We were also joined with another move without advising us, or offering a discount. Staff were slow to respond and rude. I have used Britannia on multiple occasions in the UK, Europe and North America, but not this office before which I was bitterly disappointed with.

Further comments following your response - Thanks for your response, which differs somewhat from your earlier, direct response to me, with its failure to take any responsibility for the issues caused by the office.
To clarify we exchanged contacts on our sale late on April 6th and advised the office by email on April 7th, giving potential dates for our move, which were all in early May. Clearly this was coming up fast and so I was concerned when we had not received a reply by the afternoon of Weds April 12th – two working days after the Easter break. You were unable to visit and progress to a final quote for a further seven days, which I pointed out at the time was losing further valuable time.
Following the quotes of the 19th, which I immediately queried, before reluctantly accepting, you then raised the price, made additional charges and part consigned our move with another job.
In hindsight it is quite clear that the office standards slipped considerably from last year to this and that this is negatively affecting your excellent crew.

We moved from Midlands to Cornwall. Planned to use BL Truro, but they couldn't fit us in .. they arranged for BL Exeter to do it instead.
Joe and Aaron from Exeter came to pack our things and load the van over 2/3 days - they were polite, friendly, helpful: we couldn't have asked for better.
In Cornwall they were joined for the unload by two guys from Truro, again polite, friendly, helpful.
The whole experience was great, and couldn't have gone better.

This is the second time Iv used Britannia lanes in Exeter. The customer service and communication are just as good as 4 years ago suggesting that their training is very in with the times. great pricing, clean vans, friendly people.

Overall everything ran smoothly. The staff was supportive and efficient. My goods were delivered safely with only minor issues.
The price is slightly spicy.

Britannia Lanes moved us out of our large old house and into store over 2 years ago. That was during the pandemic and we couldn't fault their service then, nor again recently when, finally in our newly renovated home, they reunited us with everything from the store. Nothing was too much trouble on either occasion. They took great care and worked very efficiently, taking time to make sure everything went where we needed it to go. The office and administrative staff were similarly helpful and friendly. I would recommend Britannia Lanes without reservation

The process of getting a quote was smooth and the people who did the move were very professional. The move require unloading and reloading on to a smaller van because of reduced access. There was a lot of damage to antique family furniture, which is heart breaking. I pursued an insurance claim. Furniture restorers quoted £960 for repairing the damage. I recieved £250. It was a time consuming and upsetting experience.

The packers and delivery guys were extrmely helpful, polite and professional and were happy to stack everything where it needed to go. They didn't stop and worked extremely hard.
We would definitely use Britannia Lanes again if needed.

Great locally run business for van hire. Have used them twice now and always get good customer service which is personalised. Lauren was very helpful regarding the different range of vans available and also getting my deposit back in a timely manner. Would recommend Britannia!

Billy and the team went to great lengths to manipulate our piano through an awkward door...they were determined and won the battle! They are awesome.

Lanes were very helpful throughout the moving process, no question was too difficult to answer and all staff I spoke to were polite and helpful. The quote was easy and Michael was very helpful when he came to do the survey.
