I’ve been waiting for an express order…

I’ve been waiting for an express order for two weeks I received no order confirmation! They refunded me 16- of a 100 order without explanation and no response to emails or trust pilot review. Where’s my order and why have you refunded me 16-?

Checked all spam folders received nothing - no one email. I was not given the opportunity to exchange missing products having paid 40- delivery!
I also do not lover remote at all - as I’m 5 mins from the capital of the canton
Your poor service and communication is your failure not mine

I know about the refund only because I saw it on my card statement this I said you didn’t tell me why? - no emails. I did try and contact you via your contact us on website …. I got no response.

Hi Fay, thanks for your review. We would like to clarify a few points regarding your order, as we believe the review may not reflect the full context.

Your order was placed on the 2nd of March, which fell over a weekend. As stated in our Terms & Conditions — which were agreed to at the time of purchase — we require 2–3 working days to process orders. Your shipment was dispatched on the 5th of March.

Delivery typically takes 3–5 working days from the date of dispatch (excluding weekends), so today would mark the third working day in transit. You would have received a shipping confirmation email with tracking details, which may have landed in your junk/spam folder.

Out of the 12 items ordered, 8 were dispatched. The remaining 4 items were unfortunately out of stock and have already been refunded to you.

Upon checking the tracking information, your parcel is currently awaiting delivery in Switzerland. According to UPS, this is due to your location being classified as remote, which can sometimes lead to slight delays — unfortunately, this is beyond our control.

We hope this clears up any confusion, and that you will consider updating your review once the order is delivered.

You mentioned that you did not receive an email; however, you are aware that a refund was issued for a few items. If no email had been received, it would not have been possible for you to be informed of the refunded items.

As previously noted, you agreed to our Terms and Conditions at the time of checkout, which clearly state that any out-of-stock products will be refunded. We trust that you reviewed these terms prior to placing your order.

Lastly, we would like to reiterate that we are not responsible for any shipping delays that are outside of our control. In this instance, the delay is due to the courier service (UPS), and we recommend that you contact them directly for any further concerns regarding the delivery.

We take great pride in maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction, as reflected in our numerous five-star reviews. Unfortunately, in this instance, you opted to leave a one-star review before reaching out to us directly. We believe this does not fairly represent our commitment to excellent service, as we would have been more than happy to assist you with any concerns.

Also, to add to this customer is stating it’s been 2 weeks. Customer placed the order on 2nd March which was a weekend. Today is the 11th March which is not 2 weeks. Please do not disrespect our business with misinformation.

Once again, we kindly ask that you refrain from making inaccurate claims about our business. An email was sent on the 10th, to which my colleague Rebecca promptly responded, and you subsequently replied. We have already addressed this matter, and we will not continue to repeat ourselves. Please note that we are not responsible for the delay in your package. You will need to contact UPS in regards to this.

Not worth the trouble

Not sure why, but the taste wasn't the same as we remembered when we last had them a year ago. It was also crazy expensive to get them shipped. Basically their sale price ended up being just 10% of the final cost to actually receive them. Don't really recommend ordering these outside of the UK, not really worth it. Maybe if the UK joins the EU again.

I would like to correct my incorrect use of the word sale earlier. I meant sell price. The idea is that, in the end, with shipping taxes and everything all together the price of the eggs ended up being 10% of the final price. I paid 10 times the price of the eggs in total to have them shipped from the UK to Romania. And what I wanted to express in my review is that if you're outside of the UK, it might not be worth the effort or the money.

I understand this is outside of your power, and I encourage people to continue buying from you if they manage to do so at a reasonable total price. Whilst it is not in your power to affect how much we have to pay for taxes and such, at the end of the day, if I have to pay 100 euros for 5 chocolate eggs that cost 10 euros, it is really not worth it. (10 and 100 were chosen to help visualize the situation. The actual prices were a bit different, but not far off).

Troubles with German customs

I ordered from British Cravings in December, and unfortunately UPS returned the package from Germany without any reasoning. Customer support was very helpful, and they attempted to reship the package with DHL at their own cost. Sadly, German customs then refused the package. British Cravings tried to get it through, but wasn't able to.

Ultimately this wasn't their fault at all, and they tried their best to get the package to me and went above and beyond what was expected.

My advice to anyone ordering would be to check very carefully on the import laws for your country, because sometimes they can be very nit-picky.

I'm only giving 4 stars because I was told that they had asked DHL to destroy the package because they'd already incurred too many fees trying to reship it. I'm not sure if this was a miscommunication or what happened, but this doesn't appear to be true, DHL returned the package to them. I would have preferred at least the truth here, because ultimately I did spend 110 euros and got nothing.

Update: I did receive a refund. Ultimately the problem was not on the side of BritishCravings but customs, so I changed my review to 5 stars because they did everything they could.

Hi Jon, thanks for your kind review. Due to ongoing issues with German customs, we have made the difficult decision to temporarily suspend shipping to Germany. Unfortunately, customs procedures appear to be inconsistent, leading to uncertainty regarding which shipments are accepted.

Regarding your order, the shipment via DHL was originally intended to be destroyed, as returning it would have incurred significant costs to our business. However, DHL returned it without our consent. As a result, we will be reimbursing you for the order, deducting the shipping fee in accordance with our terms and conditions.

We appreciate your understanding and hope to serve you again in the future—should German customs allow us to do so!

Well what fantastic service

Well what fantastic service. Jason went above the call of duty to provide items I had ordered for delivery to Menorca. Through no fault of their own, it was far from easy due to Spanish Customs. That’s Brexit for you. They incurred extra expense that no other company I have dealt with have swallowed. His communication was efficient & speedy. I could not have asked for more from a company. Customer for life. Thank you Jason & team for your efforts. It is greatly appreciated.

Very great experience

Very great experience! Got the snacks quickly, within a week. Also, emailed to inquire about a particular item that was not on their website and they were able to immediately acquire it and add it to my order. Furthermore, the price point to receive free shipping was reasonable, and will allow us to buy the snacks we miss and stay stocked for a couple months. Will definitely use again!!
