Absolutely disgraceful company. Made an order through Amazon then cancelled instantly because it was the wrong product ordered. They refused the cancellation and sent the item anyway knowing that it cannot be returned due to it being a restricted product. They where very rude arrogant and no help whatsoever. Was happy to return but they made it so difficult for this to happen. Ended up going through Amazon and getting a full refund from them not these fly by nights! I would avoid these like the plague.

Really poor experience.

I bought a pair of expensive Buckbootz safety boots from Build and Plumb. After a less than a month of normal use, one boot split across the toe cap area and both boots now leak water. These are marketed as durable work boots — they shouldn’t be failing like this.

I sent all the photos they asked for and then heard nothing for nearly two weeks. Eventually I was told the “claim” had been sent to the manufacturer, who rejected it and said it was accidental damage. Build and Plumb have simply accepted that and told me there’s nothing more they can do.

No proper investigation. No real attempt to stand behind what they sold. Just passing the blame.

When you buy from a retailer, you expect them to take responsibility if something goes wrong — especially with premium-priced safety footwear.

Very disappointing and not a company I’ll be using again.

Outstanding service and competitive prices . Recently ordered multipanel boards for shower renovation . Saved a considerable amount vs other big name diy shops on same items . Last minute addition to the order was not a problem and they managed to refund the delivery fee . So helpful I would never hesitate to use them again ! Thankyou to everyone at build and plumb

Ordered acoustic insulation rolls at half price of high street shops and got it delivered next day!
Will definitely be coming back for more materials as I go through renovation!

Trader does not abide by UK Law and ignores the Consumers Rights. Would not recommend this Trader even for small items. If you're happy purchasing an item from this trader and something goes wrong, just know, if you bring up your rights, you'll be ignored.

I ordered something and unfortunately one of the items wasn't quite correct, easy mistake. I contacted them via their website and I had a reply within a few hours. Issue was sorted out, I returned the incorrect item, cost covered by them and the correct item was sent out very quickly after return was confirmed. Great customer service. Will definitely order from this company again.

My complaint is not directly Build and Plumbs fault but I cannot order from them again due to the courier they use DX Express.I paid for next day express delivery and 3 days later am still waiting for my order.DX Express apparently attempted delivery today and supposedly left a missed delivery card although I have since been told by simebody who waited in all day that a van pulled up outside and took a photo of my front door then promptly drove off.So although it is not build and plumbs fault I can’t order from them again so they have lost a customer

Paid for next day delivery of a zone valve I needed urgently and it arrived .... next day. Did what I needed with a minimum of fuss and decent price. A bit extra for next day but if that means you get it when you need it that is fine....

I do not recommend!!! I am very disappointed!! They do not send all the goods (in my case, they only sent trousers... and the rest of the goods worth 140 pounds - they did not send and did not return the money!! They do not respond to emails!! They are scammers!!

Disappointing experience! I paid for next-day delivery on an urgent order, but they managed to send me two incorrect items. Although they initially promised to dispatch the correct items immediately, I later received an email stating they wouldn't ship them until the wrong items were returned. What was supposed to be a quick delivery turned into over a week of inconvenience and wasted time.

Parcel was lost I contacted them to inform them. They were beyond unhelpful was told to contact Royal Mail and sort it myself !!! Will never use again useless

Outstanding Customer Service from Ross!
I can't praise Ross enough for his exceptional customer service. I was trying to order Air Vents, but they weren't in stock. Rather than simply saying they were unavailable, Ross went above and beyond—he ordered them specially for me and even updated the website so I could place my order directly.
When I asked about potential returns, Ross didn't just send me a standard policy. He actually spoke to the warehouse team, asked for measurements, and estimated the return costs for me upfront. Who does that these days?!
This level of dedication and problem-solving is incredibly rare. Ross turned what could have been a frustrating experience into a seamless one. He's a real credit to your company, and I'm genuinely impressed by his commitment to helping customers. He was truly exceptional.

Was told drain lid would arrive on Friday and it didn’t turn up until Tuesday. Tried to call to see if was still on the way and no one would answer the phone. Well worth a swerve.

I enquired with this company about laminate flooring I was going to order, via their online enquiry form on their website. After a couple of weeks had no response so sent a message via social media which was eventually responded to after about two days.

Initially I had used a discount code which gave me 20% off but I was unsure of the best underlay to go with it as it was not advised in the product description that I could see, hence me sending the enquiry to ask this advice.

Whilst awaiting response, the offer code has obviously expired so in the correspondence I asked if they would honour the initial code (I think it was a new customer discount) and was met with the rudest response “I don’t know what you think you saw but we aren’t going to honour a discount that never existed” (that’s the translated version as it was almost unintelligible) I wish I could attach the screenshots.

I was absolutely horrified at this response and found and screenshot the initial (now expired) code I had used and responded with exactly what I thought of this ‘person’. I say ‘person’ as they never once signed their name off on any correspondence and I wonder why 🤔

Going by previous reviews, it appears they may be male. Possibly going through MANopause?

Maybe they were having a bad day…however I’ve worked on the front line of customer service in Homebase on their Customer service desk and dealt with some extremely rude customers in my time, on days where I’ve struggled with my mental health, but I have always stayed professional and polite unless they have been ridiculously rude. In that case you get what you deserve.

I was nothing but polite in my initial emails, but I made it clear I thought he was a ‘See you next Tuesday’ in my final email and told him to stick the order where the sun doesn’t shine. That’s the pre-watershed version of events 👀😅

If you’re looking for flooring from a company with respect, courtesy and manners, try Best at flooring. They responded within a matter of hours and even price matched this for me!

Take a leaf out of their book Build and Plumb employee…And have the day you deserve…👀

Brilliant customer service from Liam, amazing service where as a customer you were listened to.

I once again had to deal with this company and their inept employee, I think the plumb in the company name refers to him! They really can’t get anything right. The employee started arguing with me stating they were still investigating and I had to refer him to his own company email stating they could do no more, even though they knew they were legally obliged to give me a refund, the man was completely inept and rude! He became rude when he realised what I was saying was correct and instead of apologising he went completely quiet and I had to keep asking if he was still there and he abruptly confirmed he was after several attempts to confirm this and when I was abrupt in return the plumb/employee hung up! 😂 He then wrote a childlike composed email to me! I won’t go into his ridiculous email but the spelling, punctuation and grammar was that of a 7 year old!
I have now got my money back through my bank who will now claim it from Build and Plumb. In my opinion this is a scam company so be advised to stay clear and be careful as it’s very easy to make fake positive reviews!!
Read the many negative reviews as they’re the ones to go by, not ones that quite possibly have been written by employees and their families!
If they falsely state to my bank, a scam company would, that I gave permission to leave it in a so say safe place, obviously it wasn’t, and that’s if it was ever left, then they will be prosecuted for fraud by my bank as I have a recording of them admitting I hadn't done this, but it’s something this company would try if they thought they could get away with it!!

ordered a snickers bundle on next day delivery 2 weeks ago and had no updates on the delivery decided to ring up a week ago and they said i will have my package on friday which ive still not received, this is one of the worst firms ive ordered from

First time I have used this company but they were competitive; delivery was very prompt; product was well protected and in first class condition.
