The staff were so lovely at the Beckenham branch I called and asked to enquiry about a Rosie Lea jellycat and they put one aside for me which was so lovely of them. Lovely place and I often frequent the Forest Hill store as well we need to use these little shops more often.

I love this shop . Every time I need a gift for a friend this is my go to place as I prefer to support independent businesses and the high street. On Sunday I purchased a beautiful candle that smells divine is vegan friendly and uses essential oils plus a birthday card and ended up buying my daughter a cute snoopy valentine hot water bottle. The staff always offer to wrap your gifts in tissue paper. I always pop in even if I’m not purchasing and am always happy to see Kelly who is a credit to the shop with her friendly attitude and good customer service. Keep it up Bunka

Totally insulted!!!! Having visited the bank to withdraw my Christmas spending money I went on to Bunka to purchase some gifts. Served by an older blonde lady who informed me they don’t accept £50 notes, stating they receive too many fakes! She waved a fake note in my face and said she would rather not accept cash at all. I thought it was odd as a £50 note is money after all and wondered why she doesn’t have the requisite note checking equipment?!
Whilst finding some smaller notes she was happy to handle she informed me that nobody along the high street accepts £50’s (strange as a I spent one in the florist and one in Superdrug immediately after!) and she sarcastically wished me a ‘’Merry Christmas’. I thanked her only to be ignored and wished I’d not given her any business. She looked down her nose at me and made me feel like some sort of fraudster.
Small businesses rely on local custom, she would do well to be nicer to people. Not a nice lady.
