Burton Constable Holiday Park and Arboretum Avaliações 

We came here for 1 week and booked our holiday december last year, we payed for a 2 bed lodge and was given a 1 beb lodge when we arrived, it stunk of faw sewage we comlained and nothing was done , so we complained again on the second day about the same problem and that we paid for a 2 bedroom lodge and was told if we dont like it then go home , it was only then they put us in another lodge which was still a 1 bed room lodge . There's nothing here for anyone, bar opens 17 00 pmtill 10, 15 pn . You have to drive miles for something to eat to find out everthing shuts at 19.00pm . Its the worst holiday ever and i would never come here again , they dont seem to care.

Booked for a family long weekend July 2026. Noisy, dusty sandblasting took place all weekend on the surrounding cabins and all over the busy site.
I was given no prior warning of this when I booked, nor was I given any alterative accommodation or solutions when I complained at the office. Office staff wouldn't do a thing to help, they simply suggested I go out and leave the cabin, which I shouldn't have to do. False advertising on their website 'tranquil retreat' More like a dusty, noisy building site! I have submitted an official complaint in writing but no reply, shocking!

Beautiful site with great walks nearby. Staff are friendly and helpful. We love staying here.

With Yorkshire hard-hitters like Castle Howard and Harewood House within easy reach it's all too easy to overlook less august yet quite unique markers of our heritage. Such an example is Burton Agnes Hall.

From any angle , inside or out , you experience a rarefied sensation of presence , an aura of unspoken authority
Subtle menace , local or beyond.

This might , however , have been reinforced by using the original glorious gatehouse as a formidable approach to the house. Now it's used as a staff parking lot and visitors enter via a side road.

The landscape is austere and features some excellent topiary. There is a walled garden , but it's nothing groundbreaking ; a rather sad little 'Summer House' that serves little purpose , and one or two quirky bits - the hawk column and a fox carved entire from a tree stump.

Back inside , the Long Gallery is frankly dull. Minor Impressionist works set alongside splendid Chinese and European porcelain and perfunctory modern throw-ins. This feels like a storeroom pending an auction...

On the whole an ambivalent experience.
At once rich yet unsteady.

Ive not been up in a while , and was very impressed with the changes x
To start it is exceptionally clean
Gardens and flowers looked amazing giving a beautiful ambiance

Went for a walk on holiday park only which was delightful , swans 🦆ducks and a sea of daffodils 🌼.
The water Lilly's 🪷and bulb-rushes are just peeping through and plenty , which are going to look beautiful

I passed the pub and noticed they offer a beautiful menu now you can order at the bar , using the qi code outside near the kitchen window ( fri-sat 5-8 i believe
2 frendly young men working hard in kitchen and the lovely blond lady from the bar all very professional and friendly

Walked past the pub and saw some dogs having the best time of their lifes running and playing in the safe clean large dog pen what a great idea .

Went to the park looking faward to the summer so my grandson can use the massive sand pit 🏖️
Already a few people fishing in the beautiful lake which is nice to watch 🎣
Walk a little further and came across the walled garden 🪴.
i had to climb over two fence which had them wooden step things which was fun to climb , felt more of a adventure ,
then i came to this high old beautiful wall, which swept around a hidden garden ! With huge iron black gates to entrance
Something out of a fairy tail
Well it was such a find and perfectly kept , with lots information about the flowers growing up the wall !
And a beautiful iron type statue placed perfectly in the centre of the garden looking over the grounds which was
A fine looking gentleman named John constable .

Would be a lovely place to walk read a book or have a picnic
It was a wet day and i did have wellies but a nice easy walk for us over 50s i even hugged a tree as they looked so inviting and its suppose to be good for your mental well-being and tbf i did go home smiling lol
I do believe you can get there via rd but the walk was lovely

I did start my walk from the on site shop ,
which is looking great and the smell of fresh baked pasties 🍰and my favourite steak pie 🥧which i had to take a piece home its the best
x lovely couple who are so kind and friendy
And lots of seating inside for food / coffee
Lots of choice for all yr needs if you forget anything
And cheap not over priced very fair prices
Also lots of cute things so much you need to go look 👀

They also had a big collection of free 📚reading books which you can swop books for , which is a great idea as books can be expensive and you will love reading a book in these surroundings lovely outside seating for the summer and all areas dog friendly
Even the pub which provides water and snacks for dogs

So grab your book some home cooked pasty a very nice coffee and take a walk along the lake to the walled garden x passing the pub half way for a little refreshment

As after the lock down it felt sad but i think we where all sad especially me 😔 but the camp site vibe is definitely giving good vibes here ,

We stayed in the Delux pod. It was lovely and clean the beds were so comfortable. Microwave,toaster, kettle and fridge included reasonable price pods .. Just had to supply your own duvet ect which wasnt a problem ..the toilet block near by needs a lock on
one of doors and the toilet holder wants sorting as toilet roll gets stuck... we will definitely stay there again.

I have family staying at burton constable this weekend and I knew it would be very lucky to get a pitch but was feeling lucky ! I called the park and spoke to I believe (Maureen) was her name! well wow customer service was fantastic, so friendly and helpful and also managed to get me a pitch for 1 night which I was appreciate so much!! Thank you

Burton Constable Camping and Holiday Park East Yorkshire Near Hornsea…
We wanted a little 2 or 3 night away before the winter months arrive.
When our Son and family said they are taking their touring caravan to Burton Constable we said we would join them by booking a Holiday Home for a few nights … on checking the website we selected a 2 night break in a New Douglas Fir 2 double bedroom Static Holiday Home.
We arrived a little early but the cleaners had just finished so the reception staff allowed us to check in 2 hours early…. We had a bad experience with Premier inn by wanting to charge us a fee of £10 to check in 15 minutes early!
This was appreciated on entering the Holiday Home we were amazed this 2024 new home was fabulous, we looked at each other and both felt the same we should have booked3 nights.. having a good look around it was fantastic and the cleanliness was outstanding.. we got straight on to reception and Karen was great she checked that the accommodation was available and booked the extra night at fraction of the cost plus we got the special offer that was currently being offered- a luxury hamper for a 3 night stay..
This park is so well run with guest appreciating the Yorkshire countryside… The spacing is very much none invasive to others with large green areas between each Holiday Home.. we loved our time at Burton Constable and will be back with family and friends.. Thank You Great Yorkshire Hospitality.. and that’s from a Lancastrian !

We were excited to be staying at such a beautiful part of the country. However when we went for a walk it became apparent that the majority of the park was Deserted . We were aware that there was no wifi but were not aware that there was hardly any phone signal.although contact numbers were given they were of no use. The lodge was very clean and the lounge and bedrooms had been redecorated and furnished. However the kitchen bathroom and shower were in need of drastic updating. The site was full of lodges and caravans for sale bur looking in were amazed to ser that they were full of flies. Not the way to pursuade any one to look inside never mind buying. We will definitely not be returning.

Owned a holiday home on the park, but would not recommend to anyone to buy here. This company are crooks. There are several reasons for this, but the main one is that they want to get every single penny out of you, that they possibly can. 2 weeks before my site fees were due, I rang them and told them that I wanted to take my holiday home off and move it to another park. They told me that I would have to wait for the general manager to ring me back. He waited 2 weeks, on the day the next season fees were due, he told me that I would have to pay the next season fees in order to remove my unit, which I did. I had to use the same company that installed the decking, to remove it. When I called them, they told me that they couldn't give me a price for this, as the site have to do it, the site charged me £1,139.44 for 3hours work, no materials or machinery were involved. Took a total of 3 hours including delivery. I could have taken it down myself in 2 hours and have done so in the past. They charged over £500 to remove the unit from the pitch, even though they were not returning the pitch fees that I had already paid, that did not need to be paid! They make enough money selling holiday homes and site fees, without having to over charge for other things they shouldn't charge for. The site itself however, is peaceful and clean, but the lake could do with some of the weeds removing.

On arrival was met by very courteous staff, site was very quiet but it was out of season. We hired a holiday lodge, which was immaculate and super warm. A few nigles with lodge loose toilet seat, and patio doors had dropped, but they attempted to sort them straight away. The site itself was very tidy, neat and clean, birds, rabbits etc roaming round. The on site pub was a let down, but at end of season I can see the reasoning, The little shop was well stocked, we didn't order food so can't comment. overall a nice place, very quiet but you need to be organised with food etc. The stable cafe is very good and they have food.

We cut our stay at Burton constable early, we had a touring pitch and it was so steep it was dangerous. The back of the caravan was nearly touching the floor while the front was about 4 feet high just to get it level. This meant that the step into the van was on an angle to the caravan. When we left we told the staff why and the answer we gof was " oh ok ". They tend to expect that because of the house on the grounds and the fact that the scenery is nice you will like the experience. But the risk of injury is so bad that I would like to warn especially older people of the danger of the uneven ground. And the lack of empathy from the staff. Also the bar staff can be rude, they try to act nice but if you have more than two drinks like I did then expect a comment like " you are certainly getting used the the alcohol here " After my second drink in the club house I did not have any more or go back there again. They seem to have regular clients maybe from the village that are more important.

Looked forward to a fish at burton constable which ive done many years ago !We were greeted by a lady at reception who did not know how to do her job that wasnt exactly rocket science , after about 40 minutes of debating with here she finally accepted our valid rod licences.
She also clearly knew at least one of us was a senior citizen and never offered us discount till i mentioned the fact after another senior citizen in the reception questioned the fact ? .After all this hassle and handing over the money we went to fish the main lake which was just covered in a mass of water lillies and not maintained to fish ! Its awfull how this once great fishable lake has been left to get to this state and burton constable have the cheek to charge £7 a day or £105 for a season pass ? Nice place for a caravan and lake to walk around but forget fishing its a disgrace , they should not charge for fishing till the lake has had the upgrade the fisherman that pay there money deserve !

Beautiful surroundings. Horrible place horrible atmosphere and the staff absolutely horrible lack social skills people skills there treat you like your beneath them never would go again.

After comeimg to Burton Constable for many years and staying on seasonal pitches , what an absolute shock to come back this year. Arrived Thursday at tea time nothing open no burger bar pub said they had sandwiches went in to order had none . After getting looked at like I had three heads in the pub husband went back in to ask for a menu for delivery they gave him a Chinese menu. We ordered and after walking up to entrance as we have a motorhome, even the dog refused it. The atmosphere on site is zero probably the biggest shock. No welcoming staff driving about on buggys haven't seen a soul. Site isn't kept to the standard we have been use to shall definitely not be returning. So sad was a loverly place that we looked forward to for years.
