Knowledgeable and help staff throughout the whole process. Ordered a new front door and I couldn't fault the service from start to finish. We've got a lot of other windows and doors to fit in other buildings and won't hesitate to use Camel Glass again.

Excellent service in an emergency
Needed a large glass door with shattered glass made safe quickly - Camel Glass responded very quickly, and had someone on site who was able to implement a temporary fix to make it safe.
They then provided a replacement that was a perfect match to the existing large panes.
The fitter (Jimmy & Brad) were extremely polite and helpful, and left the place spotless.
I could not recommend Camel Glass Barnstaple enough. Well done.

Resposta da Camel Glass & Joinery Ltd
Hi Tim,
Thank you for the fantastic 5-star review and for trusting Camel Glass Barnstaple in an emergency. I’m pleased we could attend quickly to make everything safe, then follow through with a like-for-like replacement. It’s great to hear Jimmy and Brad were polite, helpful, and left everything spotless — we’ll make sure they see your kind words.
If you need anything else, whether it’s further glazing support or advice, we’re here to help.
Many thanks,

Poor service
Poor service. Contacted them twice to request quote and was advised they would call back, they didn’t. Called again and managed to speak to someone who said they could help and apologised that nobody had returned my call. They booked a fitter to come around to look at property and work that needed doing 2 weeks later. Received an email a week after this saying that they would not be able to quote for work due to current work load and lead time. If they had been upfront at the beginning, advised they were too busy to do work and given some names of alternative companies to contact, this would have been better customer service than waiting for 3 weeks then being told they couldn’t help. This gave me a poor impression of the company.

Resposta da Camel Glass & Joinery Ltd
Hi Lucy,
Thank you for your review and for sharing your experience. We are very sorry for the disappointment caused.
After reviewing your enquiry with the branch team, I understand this related to a 15-year-old conservatory that is leaking. Unfortunately, due to the nature of remedial repairs on older conservatories and the risk of ongoing issues, this isn’t work we are able to take on. Our decision was made to avoid causing further problems for you rather than from a lack of willingness to help.
That said, we fully accept this should have been communicated clearly from the outset. The delay in confirming this left you with a poor impression, and for that we sincerely apologise.
While we can’t offer a repair in this instance, we would of course be happy to provide a quotation for a replacement if that were something you would like to explore.
Thank you again for your feedback, we are now reviewing how we handle enquiries of this kind so that we can be more upfront and, where possible, provide customers with alternative guidance sooner.
Kind regards,
The Camel Glass Team

The window fitters were very efficient and professional, personable, polite, respectful, and considerate. We would like highly commend each worker by name, Jack, Adam, Chris, Connor, Paul, and especially Russell, Brendan and Euan, who did most of the work. Retention Work was done promptly. Dealing with Rebecca in the office and meeting Mick and Tony, were all very straightforward and pleasant, including emails between Stuart and us. Thank you for your outstanding work and the brilliant way in which you did it all!

Mike and Jimmy were fantastic. Also dealt with Jake at the earlier stages who was very helpful and knowledgeable. Did a really good job fitting my new patio doors and window all from Camel. From start to finish Camel were great, but Mike and Jimmy are a real asset to the company and I wouldn’t hesitate to have them back to install anything else I may need in the future.

Great Technicians, But Poor Product Quality and Service
This is now the third time we’ve had issues with our windows, and while that’s incredibly frustrating, I do want to highlight that Jimmy and Glen the technicians who came to fix things were fantastic. Truly 5-star service from them, and we appreciated their professionalism and effort.
Unfortunately, I can’t say the same about the product or the overall service. The windows have only been fitted for about 8 months and are already showing signs of poor quality, rusted locks, broken mechanisms, which is not what I expected given the cost. The front doors were never fully explained during purchase; we were unaware they lock from the inside only and offer no outside handle access without a key, which has been inconvenient. The lift-and-slide handle on the patio door is also awkward and difficult to use.
Customer service overall has been underwhelming. Communication and follow-through have been disappointing and have not matched the level of support one would have expected.
At this point, it’s hard to recommend the company based on product quality and service delivery despite the excellent work from the repair team.

Resposta da Camel Glass & Joinery Ltd
Hi Sharon,
Thank you for your review and for recognising the excellent work of our technicians, Jimmy and Glen. We’re really pleased their service stood out to you.
We would like to clarify that this was a supply-only contract. As the products were not installed by Camel Glass, we have limited control over fitting or ongoing adjustments. That said, we have still supported wherever possible — attending once free of charge and supplying parts free of charge within the warranty period. On the most recent visit, only a small labour charge was applied for the fitting, as installation was not carried out by us.
We appreciate this has been a frustrating situation, and we’re always happy to provide guidance or direct support within the scope of our supply-only agreements. If you’d like to discuss further, please don’t hesitate to contact our aftercare team on sales@camelglass.co.uk
Kind regards,

Thanks Jimmy & Glen.
Initially we experienced a problem with our glass balustrade fixings. However Camel were quick to rectify the problem on a revisit to site. Jimmy & Glen were first class at rectifying the issue we had. Great customer service and great knowledge from these two individuals, leaving us happy customers. 5 stars would have been given if this issue hasn’t happened by the original fitters in the first place. Thanks again Camel Glass.
