Good Pension Company
I transferred to their SIPP from a workplace pension a few years back and they have been pretty good overall. Everything I need to have been done has been done, and you can invest in numerous investment types with them including stocks on various investment platforms and gold with BullionVault/BullionByPost/etc. They are generally quite courteous and they were helpful when I had a bank problem. I eventually decided to withdraw my entire SIPP and this was all handled by C&P without any problems. With this kind of company you make all your own investment decisions, they are 'execution only'. I did not sense there was anything 'unprofessional' about this company. Perhaps people need to do more homework on how their pension works, before interacting with their pension company. I did not understand how they could be fined by the regulator for 'allowing risky investments', because on these investment platforms there are literally 1000's of investments, so how could a pension company ever do 'due diligence' on all of them ? How could they be expected to do due diligence on investments if they are openly advertising themselves as 'execution only'?
