I seldom write reviews, but the treatment here was beyond awful in a time of grief so I decided to write one.

I was at the old bailey supporting a friend whose husband had been murdered. We were not allowed to bring any electrics into court so were advised to use this store.

Here I encountered some of the rudest and most unprofessional people I have ever met . There is a young guy who was sitting by the window and a lady with glasses, who sits beside him. They seemed to be the only 2 people in the store capable of smiling and being friendly the rest of the staff we encountered were awful and disgustingly rude. Considering they are dealing with people who are going to court quite often because their relatives have been murdered etc, I would expect staff to be more empathetic and not operate like robots who just want to get your money.

They charge £1 to take your cellphones, if your earphones are plugged in they want another £1 for this. Even if they are wrapped around and you are still handing them one item, if you need to retrieve your cell even if you don't leave the store they want to charge you again to take this back. They say read the rules, but once there you are pretty much helpless as you cannot bring these items into the courts.

There was a group of youths in the shop who almost had a massive fight in my presence, staff seemed immune to this too.

Reading up they have various complaints about their practices and they say they are going to change but as of 2019 they are still behaving in this appalling way. I'm just glad I dont have to ever go back.

I couldn't rate Capable Travel more highly. They supplied flight options, booked flights, booked Unaccompanied Minor Services and a Canadian visa all in 2 days before travel. Excellent service
