I was seen by Darryl and from my first consultation with him, he explained the options I had and put me at ease right away. The treatment plan he recommended has been working well and I have started to see a difference in the first 3-4 months. He has been very responsive to answer any queries I’ve had along the way. Would highly recommend CHR as they are with you every step of the way from initial consultation all the way to aftercare.

For quite some time I had been thinking about having a hair transplant, so I arranged a consultation with Capital Hair Restoration. The consultation itself went well. The adviser answered all of my questions, explained the procedure clearly, and overall the company came across as knowledgeable and professional.

During the consultation, I made it clear that I had a limited budget. I was told that if I decided to go ahead, they would be able to offer me a lower price.

After the consultation I received the quotation by email. While weighing up my options, I also contacted several other clinics to compare prices and services.

A few days later I received a follow-up call asking whether I had seen the quotation, and it was emailed to me again. It was only when I looked through it properly that I realised the discounted price was conditional on paying a sizeable deposit before a stated deadline, which gave very little time to decide.

I found this disappointing because it felt like I was being encouraged to make a rushed decision. A little while later I was contacted again to see whether I had made a decision. I explained that I wasn’t comfortable with the deadline attached to the offer, as it felt like unnecessary pressure. A hair transplant is a significant procedure, both financially and personally, and I believe people should be given the opportunity to consider it carefully without feeling rushed. The experience left me with the impression that securing a booking was more important than allowing potential customers the time they needed.

After raising my concerns, I expected some form of response or acknowledgement, but I never heard anything further.

Since then I have had consultations with three other clinics. None of them attached time limits to their quotations or attempted to pressure me into paying a deposit. Instead, they encouraged me to take whatever time I needed before making a decision. In comparison, I found their approach much more professional. Based on my experience, I would be cautious about using this company, as the sales approach gave me cause for concern.

After I published this review, the adviser I had dealt with contacted me twice asking me to remove it. He said the review was affecting his livelihood and that he had a family to support. While I appreciate that this may be difficult for him, my review is simply an honest account of my own experience. For that reason, I decided to leave it in place, as I believe it fairly reflects what happened and why I chose not to proceed.

I was recommended by a friend to contact Capital Hair Restoration. I booked a consultation with Steve and was advised on what hairline I would like to have and was happy to go ahead with the procedure in May. Steve and the staff have been very professional and very satisfied with the outcome. I was impressed with the fast communication and response. Steve helped with the step by step instructions and what will happen in each of the following days after the surgery. I highly recommend this service.

I got in touch with Capital Hair Restoration because my hairline was receding and thinning on top.

I decided to get in touch because of the reviews and that they knew what they were doing. I also reached out to 3 other companies.

After a consultation with Darryl looking at my hair and my doner area, I was then sent a quote. Due to the nature of my work, the procedure was scheduled to cause less disruption in my calendar (because I have young kids and I have a face to face job). I spoke with my wife and we both agreed they seemed like the best choice.

I was prepped beforehand which was important as I haven't done any kind of surgical procedure before, met Darryl on the day who walked me though the process.

The surgery was fine, with no issues. Afterwards Darryl then provided me with everything I needed for aftercare.

Steve followed up with me a day later to see how I was getting on, and then at several points afterwards during the initial phase.

Once my bandages came off, I then sent them some more images at several stages. I felt they were there at all stages, and then send them pictures every month of so for the first 6 months.

Really happy with my experience, felt fully in control the whole time and hairline is now my better. I do think I want to go again just to thicken it all up at some point. Key point is that I look about 5 years younger than I did before just because my hairline isn't so far back now.

The day of procedure was incredible, the surgeon and team were incredible, rhey make you feel so relaxed and at ease.

My situation;

I have had the condition called Alopecia Areata in the past, it is commonly a stress related reaction that causes 50p size bald spots and hair loss in random areas like eyebrows. It looked odd, I wanted to look normal again so i decided to do something about it. Time had passed and my normal hair was also thinning. I found Capital Hair thru reviews like this one.

Education on the service;

Capital Hair offer a wide range of solutions thru state of the art techniques like 'FUE' = Follicular Unit Extraction, that painstakingly removes each follicle individually from a donor area (usually from sides and back) and each follicle is prepared and re-set in the transplant area. This differs from old style techniques where areas are cut out and kind of turfed in the transplant area. Imo FUE is far superior and as long as you have a skilled practitioner the benefits and outcome offer a far wider range of solution than other treatments to my knowledge as a lay person.
Darryl was the person who, apart from having incredible levels of patience and knowledge is extremely genuine and professional but the main criteria for me was his deep knowledge of everything to do with this proceedure, the care he takes to explain everything and above all the honesty in conveying what can be realistically expected. If someone is motivated solely by money they could easily have left out certain details but judging by my experience you can expect to be told the truth and reality of what the possibilities are for YOUR case and be given the time and space for this consideration, Darryl was always available to answer any queries i had.
At every stage of proceedings the communication was excellent, one thing that must be stressed imo is that if you are thinking of having this procedure it should be understood that you are having a serious medical procedure, this is not a simple cosmetic undertaking . The care, attention to detail and consideration for the client reflects this.

The procedure;

Capital Hair have practices in Harley Street UK and also in Istanbul Turkey. As I was not in the UK at the time I opted for Istanbul which also offered a slight cost reduction/perhaps greater numberof grafts. All of the logistics ; travel , flights, airport taxi and 4 star hotel were included. I was met in Istanbul by Kane who knows the ropes and has an infectious positivity driven by his own personal experience with Capital Hair and a wish that others share that good experience, his procedure looks so good! And again, any issues or logistics it was all taken care of.

Summary;

The main thing you want to know if you are considering hair restoration treatment is the quality and success of this proceedure, it has only been a week but it really does look great now, it obviously is short now, like a buzz cut. To carry out such a large amount of grafts it is necessary to inject the scalp with a lot of painkilling injections, i am not going to lie, it was quite painful. Referring to the quality and skill of the Capital Hair practitioner, it is now at this point possible to ascertain the eye for detail required to produce an even smooth result. As mentioned the donor area from where hair must be taken evenly from and in my case then filled in amongst existing hair evenly and it all looks very smooth and even.
From first enquiry to travel to operation to the point of writing this now ; 1 week after the procedure, I can only give top marks in all areas. I never felt like anything other than the success of the procedure was focus of the Capital Hair team. Capital Hair have been absolutely top notch in every way and I can't recommend them enough.

I am currently at the 3-month mark post-op following a Sapphire Micro FUE procedure (4,000 grafts) in Istanbul, and I wanted to share a balanced view of my experience so far.

The initial consultation was detailed, and the actual trip to Turkey was exceptionally well-organised. Steve accompanied our small group and managed all the airport transfers, hotel logistics, medical travel insurance integration, and clinic appointments like clockwork. This made a potentially daunting medical journey feel smooth and stress-free. The clinical team in Istanbul was highly professional, and I would wholeheartedly recommend anyone to trust the precise work done at the clinic there.

Well what can I say , if your thinking of getting a hair transplant look no further , you are literally one of the family from start to finish , you are treated with respect , Darryl was excellent and very informative , this guys knows his business he talks you through the entire procedure and will sit with you for hours to make sure your happy , we me Karl and the airport and instantly you feel relaxed , Karl has all the time in the world for you and is with you for the entire trip , the procedure takes about 8 hours and Karl is there keeping you up to date and ensuring your ok ,2 weeks complete know and both Darryl and Karl have been great , there are constantly making sure I’m happy and guiding through the process of washing and treating my hair , literally look no further than this company you will have no regrets , thanks to all and thanks to the guys that I travelled with 100% happy

My journey started a couple of months ago, having done research etc. on what i needed/ wanted i emailed Capital Hair Restoration, Steve got in contact with me and we booked a consultation. Steve calling in the evening as i was at work and then explained everything in detail, very knowledgeable and kept it simple, after the meeting he said ill leave it with you but if there is any questions then don't hesitate to get in touch.

So date booked Steve was in touch to meet in Oxford to go through anything and everything i needed to do leading up to the surgery, the day of the surgery Steve meet me in the morning and we went to the clinic where i meet the team of guys who were going to work on me, they all made me feel relaxed and explained everything that was going to happen throughout the day, all went perfectly well and i started my recovery.

If you're going to do it with anyone, do it with these guys. They really know their stuff and have got the entire operation running like a Swiss watch. From start to finish everything was smooth, efficient and organised. Steve was a brilliant host from the very beginning when we had our consultation right up until we said goodbye at the airport. He even stayed behind after the others had left to help me book an Uber home from Stansted when my app was playing up. Steve took care of everything: transfers to the hotel, checking us in to the hotel and clinic, boarding passes, literally everything, all we had to do was turn up. Having someone there with you, who really knows their stuff, taking care of all the logistics made the whole process feel easy and a lot less daunting than trying to do it all alone. Nothing ever felt rushed, chaotic, stressy or messy. The consultation wasn't pushy or sales orientated like it is in lots of places. Throughout the process you feel like an individual, not a commodity. Steve was available before, during and after the trip with any questions that might pop into your head.
