Complete Scam Artists. They tried 2 excuses to not cover a repair and when they were proved wrong and had to cover it they found another one buried deep. STAY AWAY COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY!

Definitely saved me money on major repairs

Carchex wanted to use an aftermarket part, Radiator, instead of OEM. Then didn't cover a belt tensioner that was faulty because they said that I installed it wrong. Tech from dealer said that It was installed correctly. If part was installed wrong then the belt would have snapped or broken off.

The trade in and buying the new vehicle was very easy although it took 3 hours to complete.

I asked many questions that I wasn't sure if they were patient to answer but they were they went over and above to explain everything to me even more than once because I'm older thank you I'm very happy with the price for me

Not only is this a piece of crap company but they're rude on the phone. I called on the 30th day of my contract because I sold the truck, they promised me they'd write the 99.99 credit without a cancellation fee but no, she refused and, they charged me for this month for another $99.99 and a $75 cancellation fee. Stay the freak away from this company. It just shows what type of PR these people have. None.

I wasn't expecting to have someone help me out as much as the representative did. I wasn't sure if I would be covered for my vehicle repair but she reassured me that I would be covered. I was very pleased and surprised how good her customer service skills were.

It was really a bad experience when we read the horrible reviews of this company Carchex after signing up with them. We knew we made a BIG mistake so we tried to cancel our contract and got a big run around!! Customer service was horrible, constantly transferring our calls and nobody wanted to cancel our contract. So I had to turn to the BBB and finally got my contract cancelled!!!!

I have been a customer for 4 years. I recently had several issues with my car. The work was approved in a timely manner. Everyone was very professional and polite. I have been very happy with the service.

I took out a Carchex Platinum policy and made my first claim after four and a half years and was told that the the oil cooler which is a key part of the cooling system was not covered. I checked with with another company and their Platinum policy covered the part. As far as I am concerned I would not recommennd Carchex to anyone. I spent four thousand dollars for this policy and they denied my claim. I cannot tell you how totally frustrated and disappointed.I am in them.

Absolute garbage. Water pump failure on an Audi. Got a quote for $2800 and $2900 from 2 different shops. Carchex is only paying $900, and I have a $500 deductible. So, I get $400 for a $2800 repair. Bought the plan from Carchex, but it is actually run by American Auto Shield. This is worthless. Run. Save your money.

The only thing I don’t like is I have to pay for my rental vehicle than submit it to CarChex for reimbursement that could be up to 30 days, with the prices of items going through the roof and on a fixed income from the VA/Social Security

Carchex seem to be string me along because I submitted documents several times & I was told to submit documents to the wrong address, I have submitted documents several times and takes 24 hours or more to get Carchex needs more documents! It would be better to just save $99.99 a month in a high interest saving account instead of using Carchex! I am 14 emails several text messages back and forth between me & Carchex! This not what I paid for...

Bought two policies and made a couple of claims. One for wheel bearings and yesterday for the electronic trunk latch. In both cases, the amount covered was significantly lower than the cost of repair. It was $537 for the trunk latch at the dealer after all the labor and tax; I'm in Western, PA and the labor rate isn't like a big city! Carchex contracted coverage only covered about $240 with a $100 deductible. So the repair cost me $400. The experience with the wheel bearings very similar.
It appears they undercut the actual labor cost and search the planet for the cheapest possible part (even if a dealership won't install it because of quality/Warranty issues). I wouldn't at all be surprised if they found a trunk latch at 'Jamal's Rebuilt Parts' in Baghdad, Iraq, and used that price to pay the claim.
Want to feel like an IDIOT? Buy a Carchex policy. I did because it was so highly recommended by "The Car Guys" on NPR... BUY YOUR POLICY ELSEWHERE!
