Having a carers card is recognition of all us carers for the willing commitment we give in supporting our loved ones. The people that raised us, supported us growing up and need us at a time in their life. Not that we want rewarding for this, but being able to get discount on a number of events, travel, products etc, is a nice reward and a thank you. We can also share that with the person we care for.

The carers card brings a little bit of happiness, not everywhere excepts it but when the do it makes a difference to entry prices etc . companies that are enrolled in the scheme help with reduced costs for all sorts of things, shopping, days out etc.....when used to it's full potential this card makes a big difference

It's difficult to find a listening ear in today's very busy world but 'carers uk' really are there to help.

Sometimes its a lonely place being a care giver and it nice to feel that someone care s and now and again just getting a little extra being a unpaid carer really helps so id recommend carers card

Carers Card is very useful for information and support. I find the chats very helpful in rationalising problematic situations. The ability to get an immediate answer, albeit AI, very good. I used a calming breathing technique today to relieve stress and reset myself.

I haven’t used the card yet, having only received it two days ago. However, I’m looking forward to getting a few discounts when I take my husband out and about. From what other people have said, it’s been of great benefit to them so I’m looking forward to being able to say the same. I will also be joining the forum and having conversations with like minded people.

I’m so pleased to have my carers card. I took my son swimming and now I can show them this card and my details without taking lots of paperwork with me. I’m excited to use discounts and also apply for the gym. I’m not sure when I will find the time at the moment but one day in the future. My son goes to school 1 hour a day so hopefully we can experience more things together which feels more affordable.

I only received my card yesterday and I can not to start saving the application was easy to do.

This is so much more than a card. It does get you much-needed discounts, but it also provides you a much-needed community. Caring can be so isolating. X

i have loved my card it has let me make so many memories with my son that i could not have done before
