NEVER AGAIN

Paid for parking online as the app would t work. Got issued with a ticket. Appealed. They said they don’t take bank statements as proof of payment. An utter disgrace of a company. Held of paying the fine but was worried about incurring extra charges. Severely out of pocket. Not okay

We really need a minus star for this…

We really need a minus star for this company. I booked parking for my colleagues who were working in Manchester but the job they were working on over ran a day so I logged on to the parking app we use and extended the stay for the extra day. Carflow then sent us a PCN saying we had not paid for the extension. I had all the receipts so you would think this would easily be solved. I sent both receipts clearly showing the dates and times that we had paid for and our payment receipts but they would not accept that as evidence!! Asking what would they accept I was told that they would only accept evidence from Just Park, the app we booked through. I contacted them, who to be honest, were not much more help and just said if we pay the fine they will reimburse us!! I just cannot for the life of me understand how these businesses get away with this day after day, they go along on the basis that no one wants to have to go to court so people will just pay up. They should be struck off.

Find Alternative Parking

Do not use these carparks, as they will rip you off.
Your 'parking time' starts from the moment you enter, as your registration is recorded on camera, likewise it is recorded when you leave. Your parking time is the difference between these.
So if you spend 5 minutes trying to find a space, then you only have 55 minutes to go shopping (paying for 1 hour).
In my case, I pulled up at the back of a charity shop to unload a carful of donations, which took 15 mins including filling out a tax claim form for them; then I parked & paid for 1 hour. My parking time apparently included the time at the charity shop, when I was not in a bay & was unloading.
If you are within the carpark area for more than the duration of your ticket, then you will be fined £100, reduced to £60 with quick payment.
My suggestion, park somewhere else.

UPDATE:
I had sent an emailed appealing the charge and received a letter stating that the fine was still being enforced. I left it to the last day to log in to their website to pay and was given a message that the charge had been cancelled, so they were decent in the end. Took a screen-shot of the message to cover myself.
Upgraded rating to 2 stars.

Absolute bandits

You want me to be helpful honest and constructive? Well I don't believe I parked there for one, even if I did a £3.50 loss to the land owner resulted in a £100 fine, reduced to a meagre £60! Quoting high court cases doesn't make the fine morally correct.

I made the comparison for those that don't show up for restaurant bookings, decent meal for 2, with wine £100? We prep it, cook it, staff it, no show, no income. So we apply the same multiplier as Carflow and hit you with a £2,900 bill. And yep this is a geniune experience with no incentive to write it...other than a total rip off. Avoid.

We urge people to forget parking in Little London car park, Newport, Isle of Wight.
PCN fine of £100 for 2 minutes
What an absolute joke.
Entered the carpark at 16.58 by the time we parked and went to the ticket machine to get the evening ticket for £1.50 it was 1700
Apparently you are expected to drive closer to the ticket machine, launch yourself out and get your ticket, then park.
I am sorry, these companies need to get real and realise that due to these actions they take to try and penalise people, Carflow, are killing the trade for the company they are acting for, would be getting, this car park is becoming less & less used.
absolute daylight robbery.
We will not be paying this fine

The carpark company treating disabled people as second-class citizens

The carpark company has no understanding of human values. They do not make any distinction between disabled people and ordinary people in their parking lots. When you explain to them that this is unfair, they only care about money. They are more concerned with making a profit than with providing a safe and accessible environment for everyone.

This company's lack of compassion and understanding is shameful. They should be ashamed of themselves for treating disabled people as second-class citizens. I hope that those who work for this company feel ashamed and consider another job that respects human values more. The management of this institution should be exposed to the public so that they can be held accountable for their actions.

Absolutely disgusting

Absolutely disgusting, parked the car in the shopping centre in Acton and went to pay as I was happy entered number plate it said you owe £3 so i happily paid with card got the receipt, and after a week received a pcn I hadn’t payed the correct amount it should have been £4.50!
How does anyone explain that, was I meant to give an extra £1.50 just for the hell of it,
Why was I charged £3 in the first place ?
Theirs excuse was you should have read terms and conditions and I was meant to calculate my own time.
This is just a con.

Weaponising car parking

I was charged £170 for parking and paying (in the middle of night) at Hannover Street car park Manchester. It was very poorly lit, (I am a bit older) I bought a ticket for £2.50 from the machine so was very surprised to get a ticket. It turns out there is another car park right next door, and I must have bought the wrong ticket. Despite it being for such a small amount, and my case being quite easy to understand, with proof of purchase (I kept the ticket) the Carflow is out for the big bucks available in fines: probably because word is out and people try to avoid parking with them!
To make matters worse, all the while I was trying to get through to a person on the phone (this was about as easy as slitting your own wrists with an overripe banana) waving the ticket I had bought and displayed, the charge just kept increasing through their debt collectors ZZPS. (So my trying to appeal, the fine nearly doubled!!!) After more then one and half years (!!!) I have now been forced to pay £170, the only way I can in 16 installments. (I have 4 kids, struggling to get by with the cost of living crisis, etc.)
This company is entirely exploitative and its car parks should be avoided at all costs. You will never know about it until you get the debt collector's letter through the post. It's enough to make you feel physically ill.
Avoid, avoid, avoid and tell your friends and loved ones.

The charged me £170.00 for a ticket that it meant to cost £1.30, in their letter say the parking costs was £1.30 if I did pay, i just made the payment of £170.00 but this is so unfair that companies are allow to increase the payment and multiply that much from the original amount! I hope the CEO of this company is enjoying the lobsters in his/her yacht

Parking nightmare Little London car park Newport IoW

Parking nightmare, Newport parking is best avoided.
Had to pay 3 times at the Newport IoW Little London car park, but was still stung for £95 parking fine.
The car park shows as RCP but is billed by carflow ltd, and is best avoided.
1446 - Paid once for PM after arriving.
1706 & 1708 - Then had to pay again after 1700 for the overnight.
0755 - Paid again before 0800 during breakfast.
Even the locals cannot work the payment machine and this smells like a trap to catch the unwary tourist.
