God awful experience. Did an online form to get a quote for scrapping car. Instantly bombarded with texts, calls & WhatsApp messages by at least 5 different numbers. Did communicate with 1 who offered me more than I wanted but was still getting harrased the following day by other numbers so they're obviously not a 'company' if they don't know a deal was already agreed. Finally straw was another text at 4am this morning then getting called 'Pal' when I told them they were taking the P & to take me off their list. Won't be selling to them as I can imagine it will not go smoothly after all the hassle beforehand. Advise...don't even fill in the form, it will drive you mad.

THEIF - WELL THOUGHT OF SCAM. Using THERE COMPANY WAS THE BIGGEST MISTAKE. THEY HAVE STOLEN OUR CAR WITH OUT PAYING. They guy that came to collect his name is Patrick Joseph McDonald

They meant to purchase our car for £3250 and only transferred £325 and that’s only because he was trying to buy time so we don’t call the police
The main person is a guy with an Irish accent who calls himself Tarrence his number is
07780500339 And his partner in crime is Patrick Patrick McDonagh and he uses the number 07360590596. There is currently a criminal investigation. They will get caught it’s just a matter if time

When I put the details on the website, I did receive 5 to 6 text/WhatsApp messages from mobile numbers requesting contact. I contacted 2 and deleted/blocked the others (due to some of the other feedback).

Of the 2, one was not interested and the other was.
He was called Chris and everything went as the website described.

I had a couple of conversations to build a rapport and get a vibe of everything.

He did everything he said he would. Came to collect at the agreed time, did not haggle and paid the price we agreed (which was very fair) and the whole thing took about 15 minutes tops.

I ensured we had the appropriate controls in place when selling a car (e.g. do not complete owner change or let car go before money in our bank account).

Looking at the other feedback, I think the experience depends on which agent you land on.

Fortunately we had a good experience with Chris and no other hassle from any other agents as I simply shut that down before it could occur.

This is the work of a Fraudster

He has nothing to do with Scrap my Car Ltd, he is merely using another companies details to pretend to be such. He is then collecting vehicles, with promise of payment the next day which will never be received. Has been reported to the police who advised it is a civil matter. How many cars does this man need to steal in order for anything to be done?

Instantly harassed by numerous numbers claiming to be agents when in reality they were just members of the public who had been supplied with my number and would not take no for an answer. Blocked and reported for safety reasons.

DO NOT USE!! Put car details in to this website for a quote and instantly had many WhatsApp’s and relentless calls, an alarming and huge breach of GDPR. It then took me to a different webpage makemebusy.com with a bee/wasp logo.
Then received a WhatsApp from LEE SANDERSON offering a decent price so I accepted. A driver came to collect the car the next day apparently from Luton, no truck insight. I asked him to bring the truck around but when questioned said it was parked and set up around the corner. It wasn’t, this man had been dropped off as we checked cctv and walked around to try and see. Then Lee said oh your car is drivable so we’re not putting it on the truck, even through the driver said the truck was set up to put the car on round the corner. He assured payment then drove off so quickly in our car leaving behind just the yellow slip but the v5 had been put on the passenger seat. The car had failed its MOT so was illegal to drive (he did not have trade plates) I have received no money to my bank account, there is no one to contact either and Lee was adamant he’s paid but refuses to prove it despite me asking for a reference or a screenshot. I have received no money and they’ve just taken my car.

Please avoid, there are other reviews mentioning the same thing from the same people and I wish I’d seen this sooner, I am so sad.

They put my car online n I received phone numbers of people interested. Some called me. Some offers very low but then I spoke to Jimmy n he offered me a decent price for my car.
He explained the whole process to me n it was exactly as he said. 2 lads drove from Lancs to Luton to collect car. Over the phone Jimmy transferred the money into my bank account. Saw the money there immediately. Jimmy then informed DVLA I wasn't the owner anymore email to confirm. I really couldn't ask for better service. Jimmy definitely star of the show. Speak to him as some of the others were not great!!

They send your details to their 'local agents' (probably any Tom, Dick or Harry that has paid a fee), and you get call-backs, text messages, and WhatsApp messages from a number of different people offering low/average prices.

A valuable lesson learned in not believing everything you read. Thoroughly amicable and professional transaction. Paid agreed price on collection as promised. Dragos and David for reference. Drove down from Coventry to collect my beloved Mini Cooper and hope he enjoys some ongoing use or makes a few quid. It's well deserved

A guy called Martin, called me 2 minutes after I'd put my reg in told me he was going to be at my house at 19.45, then got at text to say he was coming at 19.00 hours. I messaged him at 19.20 to ask if he had set off, no reply. So I called him at 19.45 it rang once and went to answer phone everytime. Don't bother with these they're time wasters.

I was so worried using this group after reading the reviews but honestly I had a really pleasant transaction no problem at all good communication from Paul full price was paid in cash no haggling and even completed the V5 there n then on the government website very happy it might be just where I live perhaps but overall very happy

Wish I’d have looked here first. I work for the NHS and 2 minutes after going on their website and stupidly giving my number so THEY could collate quotes, I had 15 texts, calls and WhatsApp’s asking details about my car. Absolutely appalling breach of GDPR and will be reporting

Randomly just messaged me asking me to book my car I'm not selling into be scrapped

Total scam, agent called, came at night, said will pay money 820 tomorrow, gave only 100gbp ,took the car and scrapped it and started abusing. I don't know how to get money back
